Wait? Is there talks about MM and RTZ getting married? Need to know so I can skip this episode and save myself…
Yes, I've seen such clips. As they are taken out of context, I hesitate to say RTZ and TT will be secretly dating. But that is definitely a possiblity. We'll soon find out 😊
From a mother's prospective. I wouldn't want my son marrying Meng Meng either. This is just from my viewpoint.…
Agreed, I see how all these reasons could heavily influence LL's perspective. It's interesting though that her husband doesn't seem to have such concerns - the clinical standpoint. He often strikes me as an idealist who could not have thrived personally and professionally without LL and her family's support. Similarly, as a mother, I believe she would like RTZ to find someone who can truly understand his struggles as a blooming TCM doctor and help him achieve success.
I agree, there are several signs that RTZ might be infatuated with TT. Or at the very least he cares a lot about her. But I don't think he is aware of his growing feelings.

No need to panic and skip the episode.😄 It was a hypothetical discussion between RTZ's parents. It's too soon to say how things will develop in the drama.
I’m confused. why are we talking about ML marrying Meng Meng? aren’t we rooting for Lusi with ML?
I am a great fan of Lusi and really like her character TT. My thoughts referenced discussions between the different drama characters, from past episodes and the most recent one. They were talking hypothetically as well.
Personally, I am not rooting at present for a romantic relationship between TT and RTZ, simply because I don't think he would be able to cherish her as she deserves. If he changes and shows more character growth, I will be glad to see it and then would enjoy a potential romance.
Ep. 23 had a few highlights for me. - I was very glad to see TT working hard and apply herself to learning theoretical knowledge as well in TCM, alongside practical experience. - Our idol trainee's intentions were not only a waste of effort, they could have also caused more harm than good. I had a nice laugh though.
-Rebecca managed to secure an affordable rent so that the TCM classes could be resumed. I hope the Ren family will be able to avoid selling a house to cover the school expenses. Still, renting an independent property is preferable to depending on that shady businessman Liu.
- I am intrigued why LL cannot accept MM as potential girlfriend for RTZ. There should be more to it than the problematic 'patient-doctor' relationship. Her husband already thinks there is a chance the two will marry and seems supportive. Once MM has recuperated fully, RTZ and her can be together if they like each other.
Objectively speaking, MM is a pretty young woman from a wealthy family with high social status. And I doubt she would create trouble for anyone. As RTZ said before, her parents would be delighted to entrust MM completely to his care.
So why is LL so set against her to the point that she would be willing to sell the larger house and move somewhere smaller? Initially LL was apprehensive and the only one reluctant to sell, rightfully so. Yet now, though extra funds may not be necessary for RXZ's vision, LL would take such a drastic measure to separate RTZ from MM and force her to go back to her family. It seems a bit extreme to me.
I have read the source novel for Hidden Love out of curiosity. It is a nice and simple story, definitely character-driven so the leads' acting will have ample opportunities to shine. Am I the only one who thought he fell in love rather quickly in the novel, considering he had mostly treated her as a younger friend/ sister?
I have also noticed that in the drama synopsis it is said 'they slowly fall in love'. Maybe they will shift things a bit in the drama script. Personally, I enjoy more of a slow burn romance so I wouldn't mind such a change.
RXZ has treated TT like a long lost daughter from the moment they met. They have a sort of connection that he…
I just referenced ep. 18 since he explicitly said the words. But I definitely agree the feeling was there much earlier. For me, the scene where RXZ taught TT how to drink convinced me they have become more than master-disciple and much like father-daughter. RXZ did say to his wife the gesture was to make up for RTZ's behaviour, yet the atmosphere around them proved their special bond.
My intuition tells me RXZ never did something similar with his son, which is a pity. Perhaps then RTZ would not have acted so appalingly towards TT during and in the aftermath of the drinking by the lake incident.
I was wondering why would RXZ say that TT is his daughter at one point in the future. It brought to mind the fact that in ep. 18 he declared himself to be her family and asked his wife to consider TT their second child, which LL refused. He already sees TT as his daughter and that feeling will grow. And maybe he just did not to give her away to his brat of a son 😉
As I understood things, the Ren couple has a house and the grandparents have a different one. It's just that the…
RXZ may be reluctant to use that ginseng due to personal and professional ethics. But I also hope they will find a different solution, rather than selling the house.
I am wondering about some of these added side stories in this series. Is there a point for us to know about her…
As I understood things, the Ren couple has a house and the grandparents have a different one. It's just that the Ren house is in Ling Lan's name, she has sole ownership.
It can be horrible to depend on the whims of others, especially when they are unwilling or unable to treat you fairly. I know that, rationally speaking, the Ren family have no obligation towards TT. At the time everyone was also afraid and very emotional. But it's the second time they chase TT away as if she is the cause of everything that goes wrong in their world.
TT is always the scapegoat - not her seniors, not even the adults involved are to blame. Can you imagine how RTZ's Mom will treat her once she finds out her precious son might be falling for TT? I am not looking forward to seeing that...
Today's episodes were a bit slower paced. I actually FF'd through a few scenes (the blind date scene and the baby…
All great moments. For me, the New Year's celebration was by far the best, ugly sweater included, the sense of family and belonging that both grandparents and unexpectedly RTZ created for TT.
The beginning of ep.19, when TT and RTZ were shopping, held a big surprise though. After TT hears that RTZ will still go bungee jumping in the closed area, she had an emotional reaction that took even her by surprise. Lusi's face expresses beautifully the play of emotions - outrage, fear, asking RTZ to cherish his life for the people who love him, then realising she may have said too much.
And I thought to myself - oh no, the brat has already wormed his way into her heart... TT's conversation with her best friend reinforced my initial assumption. She believes RTZ has fallen for MM and, more importantly, any potential romance with RTZ is doomed since TT will not be accepted by his family. Considering a snippet that lulu posted below, there is a high chance of RTZ being attracted to TT as well.
I have mixed feelings about a potential romantic relationship between them. Romance was never a necessity for me and, after seeing how RTZ behaved towards TT and in general, I truly wanted her to stay far away from him. He has improved to some extent, but I still feel the current RTZ is not able to cherish TT the way she deserves.
Will RTZ change? It is possible. The previews suggest he protected TT from being bitten by a snake. That would help me forgive him for the horrible attitude during and in the aftermath of the drinking incident. We will see if it is the start of his character's growth.
Random thoughts about episode episode 17- I thought RTZ was going to crash off a cliff b/c of the amount of times…
I laughed out loud after reading your first point! I also think there was a time jump as they showed us moving into First Frost - the last solar term of autumn.
I teared up when TT explained how that song brings up her only impression of maternal love. She expressed her feelings honestly, without covering them in a joke. And there was some progress with RTZ as well, who for the first time had an inkling of what being an orphan since birth actually means. My hope is that, under TT's influence, RTZ will gradually learn to appreciate what he now takes for granted - his mother's and grandparents' unconditional love and support.
