I voted once for part 1 and once for part 2, so at least two times.

I don't see it as her getting over HBY. It felt to me CSS wanted to fulfill the Empress' wish to see her married and first chose a husband easy to manage - the safe option. The 1st Prince is like LY reloaded.

YS was never someone CSS could manipulate, but she did learn how to coax him. And I believe it took YS a long time to disentangle without repercussions from his previous engagement. So he was not officially on the marriage market and she was in a hurry 🤣

Speaking from personal experience, the novel is great for withdrawal therapy 😍I'll edit my post with the link and add some novel highlights for you.

I've always been a fussy drama watcher, but LLTG has made me more so 😂 I'll try Love between Fairy and Devil since it is visually stunning and the ML's acting looks promising.

Totally understandable! I voted strategically since part 1 was higher on the list 😂 Even so, as I am a bit disappointed with the last episodes in part 2, now part 1 is my favourite overall. Hopefully that will change when the expanded re-edited version comes out!🙏

On a different note, it's very interesting that part 1 is the favourite, despite the romance between the leads being still in the initial stages. It shows that a large part of the usual drama audience wants and likes more depth. This refers not only to romance, but also themes such as family, child neglect/abuse, social values, the role of women in society etc.

The drama does not go into these details. In the novel, the 3rd Prince is not married, but I think he has someone at home who acts as concubine. He becomes CP sometime in the 5-year gap, when HBY is exiled, so ep. 52.

That second video intrigues me too. At first I thought it's from the ending - 'wedding under the stars', but her hairstyle and outfit are not the same. And you're right, they match her look at the lantern festival. It's not something LBY would do, so perhaps it is a bts moment.

I am puzzled by a flashback scene in ep. 50 and would like to see your thoughts on it. After HBY has been rescued from the cliff, he is unconscious and holding tight to the shaoshang string, while SS plays the flute outside. He has a flashback which consists of 3 sequences.

First, how he and SS fall in love and become committed to each other. Second, how he repeatedly turns his back to her and even put down the string (red thread of fate), saying their fate is over. Third, he takes hold of the string, we see in reverse him falling from the horse to the abyss and then he once again grasps her hand.

I wonder what this third part of the flashback means. Is it regret for willingly letting go of SS's hand and severing their connection? But then why does HBY later say he does not regret abandoning SS?

For me it was the Empress' death and her dialogue with loved ones

I definitely recommend the book. It's very good even with google translation. But do watch the drama first.
