I just remembered this drama and turns it already aired and ended, I didn't even hear a peep about it.

Agree with everything! I especially loved how you analysed their interactions. Not to mention, once he slowly fell in love, Tianyu was always glancing at A Xiang regardless of what the latter was doing, and A Xiang would actually return the glance with a SMILE on his face; at the beach, at the balcony, at the train, while they swam, while they rode the bike, where Tianyu even held A Xiang's waist and A Xiang replied with 'hold tightly' while speeding up his bike even more lmao. This movie doesn't really leaves any doubts about the mutualness of their love, it literally replays the scenes from the first half towards the end, scenes that were initially from Tianyu's pov, this time focusing more on A Xiang's reactions as he recalls the time they spent together. When he was being beaten up during the gang fight, literally half dead, what came to his mind was... Tianyu. The last person he thought of before his death was this man, and people are pretending that there was no love.

Plus, Tianyu is obviously shown as a gay man from the very beginning. His dating history was never mentioned, when he first met A Xiang, he got shy thinking they slept together because he woke up in a bed without his shirt and the other was also shirtless. A Xiang was like 'we can shower together to save water :D' and Tianyu looked at him like... 'bro you aren't really helping the situation.' I don't know how he can be mistaken for straight when nothing even hints at that and everything is proving otherwise. Even A Xiang liked men (he didn't even have a crush on Xia Xia) and could be either bisexual or trying to hide his feelings in front of Tianyu while mentioning that he wanted to surf so he could see hot women, when it was revealed that he had this dream because of Tianyu and actually fell first, recognising Tianyu at a glance when he was in a drunken state and being taken advantage of. Neither of these men had any romantic interactions with women, were only shown in love with each other, yet it was taken as queerbaiting. Weird af.

And kids, this is why mindlessly rating-bombing a movie you didn't even see is bad. All the repeated chatter of 'queerbaiting/I don't like that it's not a bl although they never tagged it as such!!' was such an injustice to a movie this beautiful, both in storyline and execution. Some people are blind to love being presented with subtlety, or love that doesn't end up in the kind of relationship that they assumed it will and hence isn't 'gay enough' to them. If it was a man and a woman, I wonder whether anyone would question their straightness on the basis of their relationship status and whether they had intimate scenes or not. But since it's two men, heterosexuality is assumed to be the default and the rest is just 'queerbaiting.' It wasn't even unrequited love here if you watch the movie, it was mutual. However, people are still allowed to view it the way they want, they can see it as love, as friendship, something in-between, but labeling it as queerbaiting is a whole another thing, it's assuming the creators were targeting queer audiences + audiences who likes queer media and used them for just money while the movie itself was either not queer or a disrespectful portrayal of it. But now that it's out there, I hope it gets the attention and love it deserves.

I could be wrong but from what I understood, or at least I think I understood is that:

— Sundial can both store memories and control the time spent INSIDE the sundial, or it passes differently from the outside world. For example, 1 day outside, 300 years inside.
— The time stops for the person inside the sundial. The place itself is affected by time but living beings who enter it, aren't. That's why Wen Xiao didn't age or feel hungry.

In a nutshell, sundial can control the time inside it, person isn't affected by the time. Time flows for everything except for the person, who won't age physically.

Not really. Whether someone is a demon or human, this drama doesn't portray them as strictly good or bad just based on their identity. There's kind demons, there's evil demons. There's kind humans, there's evil humans. Fangs of Fortune has them all.

I must confess one thing: if I somehow went into this drama, I would definitely steal Zhuo Yichen's sword (even in its current state, I'm not picky, I'm just a thief). Everytime he's on the screen I'm like "I would rob him" but everytime he's not on the screen I'm like "I would still rob him."

I hope he embraces it soon because that means we'll get to see more of Lord Bingyi and I'm so fucking ready for it.

Yichen and Si Jing (everyone actually, but these two fight the most) better go on a long vacation after all this. Demon hunting bureau could be offering a sky high salary and I still wouldn't join their ass after seeing the amount of overwork they make their members do. I say, screw saving the world and get drunk in some bar with everyone else, Bai Jiu can sit still on the side and drink apple juice just to fit in.

I'll be real, I kind of miss goth Wen Xiao. Not exactly the actual one, just the styling. I can still stop my carriage and let her kill me if she wants me to, but she ain't even there anymore. What a pity.

Yep, I know, I wasn't trying to dismiss that. I just found it funny in that context because they fought for it before and I thought they were going to fight more, however she played a tune and the token came running back to her like a cute lil puppy. That scene was weirdly adorable. I feel like if the Baize token could gain an animal form, it would be a Samoyed puppy.
