“The leads’ CP feels (chemistry) are quite obvious, and they’ve kept the classic scenes and lines, including the two marriage scenes. Regarding boy-to-girl swap of a character, to be honest I think it’s alright. It’s the same as in the original novel, because smj’s character is just trying to survive amidst the conflict, survival and finishing his business is his priority (which means there won't be any forced romantic scenes between her and Mo Ran).

Reading their unbiased opinions on this drama really assured me. Especially the second viewer's, Since he's a guy who hasn't even read the novel yet he can see ranwan's chemistry so it must be quite obvious. Now, they're to blame for the mess of a person I’ll become when hyx finally airs. :))
The thing that bothered me the most was how Qi Ling didn't mourn when Ice feng died but instead went to look for his Duke... Like bitch your soul pet SACRIFICED himself to save your sorry ass. At least feel guilty or something :/

Idk it's just so comforting how all of us are drama viewers with different tastes and opinions yet we share a similarity—we all are waiting for Haoyixing, & this single reason is enough for us to start discussions on hyx and even become friends through them despite our differences :ᴾ
I wonder if they'll keep Cao Chunhua's obsession with pretty men or remove/change it to women... I really want to see Jiyang play a chaotic gay character though.
