This drama should get a game adaption. Just the opening alone looks like a banger game's banger concept art, add the mc's power into the mix and then you get a game that everyone and their grandma would want to buy.
This movie is harder to find than my will to live. Ugh I swear, RICKY WHEN I CATCH YOU RICKY I'M GOING TO WATCH THE SHIT OUT YOU. I just wanted to see Fandy Fan looking fine as fuck for 1 hour and 38 minutes straight but seems like this cruel fate had another plans for me.
I just KNOW it's going to be a visual feast! The cast is gorgeous, the styling is gorgeous, the posters are gorgeous, and all the released pics are gorgeous.
It isn't in the tags, so just in case anyone else is uncomfortable by this: there's a vomit scene in the movie.…
Scene summary: a man with his limbs and tongue cut off begs for food, Asami throws up into a bowl and gives it to him, the man eats her vomit. The vomit is clearly shown, not implied. And when I said the sound effects were detailed, I meant it.
It isn't in the tags, so just in case anyone else is uncomfortable by this: there's a vomit scene in the movie. It's not too long, but it's not short either. I know some people couldn't care less because this movie also has gore and if they can stomach it, perhaps vomit is not a big deal.
But I felt like just letting others know because personally, I can take gore and violence, however I'm physically repulsed by vomit (yes, even when it's supposedly 'fake' and part of a movie — although the actress claimed she used her actual vomit because she's a method actress) and suffer from Emetophobia (diagnosed), so I actually begin to retch whenever those scenes are on the screen. I didn't see it coming in this movie and the visuals, the detailed sound effects, plus the entire context, was something that made me skip dinner and the next morning's breakfast because it was stuck in my mind. It's not that I can't feel hungry or it merely killed my appetite, I can't physically manage to eat anything. So yeah, basically, if there's at least 1 person out there like me, then I hope they would be able to avoid that scene if they want to. It happens around the 1hour 28mins mark in the movie.
Also, I'm not criticising the movie itself or telling creators like Miike to walk on eggshells, because not everything needs to cater to me and I'm well aware of that. I'm just adding a small warning, although it might be helpful for only a few people but... still. The scene summary is below, it contains spoilers.
Only wishing happiness and success to this small dumpling who's filled with so much talent. Honestly, I'm surprised everytime I see him in a drama, he does his roles justice and never gets overshadowed by older/more experienced actors. He has a bright future ahead for sure, and I've got such a soft spot for him because he looks so much like my own younger brother lmao.
Guo Jingming, I'll personally dance outside your house while blasting that ost if you didn't drop this drama soon. And yes, it's a threat, because I can't dance at all.
Heard he got engaged to his bf! Glad to know that they both found the love of their life and can spend the rest of their future together, I wish them absolute happiness and peace ahead.
Ishikawa Junichi, I'm outside your house kowtowing in rain while looking pathetic and weak, there's melancholic copyright-free music playing in the background, I keep getting sicker and sicker the more I stay under the rain, I cough once in a while just to add more to the vibes. If that doesn't hurt your conscience enough to make a sequel of Furo Girl, I don't know what will.
Can't they give her a xianxia drama? WYJ really suit with costume/xianxia drama, I think wjy have enough of mordern…
Exactly. She looks so pretty in historicals already, she'll rule the xianxia genre too. I especially want to see her in action scenes, she might get some in Kill Me Love Me (since she's playing an assassin) but that's still more or less grounded in reality and won't have her using, say, magic talismans and stuff lol.
I am with u… and have been feeling like that since 5 years ago. 🥲
Virtual hug time because we've both been suffering together 🫂 I still rewatch the trailer once in a while and Jinyan looked absolutely heavenly in the white robes she had worn.
Judging by her behaviour, it's much harder to find something that isn't wrong with her. Girl has too much time on her hands, did they stop giving homework to kids in school nowadays?
You changed your last word compares to earlier - chicken.
Queen fr means 'queen for real' implying that she's indeed a queen. I assume English isn't your first language? It isn't mine either, but you don't seem to be familiar with slangs. Even 'queen shit' isn't offensive because it basically means queen behaviour. Besides, 'queen shit' to 'queen fr' isn't something that can change the entire context of a comment, turning a compliment about her being iconic into whatever you thought it was. Can't believe you came after me over that 💀
They can't just drop the most banger cast with a banger concept, banger story, banger styling, and then expect a desperate bitch (me) to wait. YOUKU GIVE IT TO ME NOW.
Sometimes, I still lose sleep over Zhao Ge not being able to air because I just know she would've done justice to the role of Consort Daji. Even the styling was chef's kiss.
You changed your last word compares to earlier - chicken.
What last words? I can't even figure out whose side you're on, do you dislike me complimenting her or something else's going on? Next time, reread the comment. Give it more than one glance. Try to comprehend the words. And then at least say what's bothering you, those emojis aren't helping. Otherwise, what's the difference between you and those jobless trolls who turn the comment section into a toxic environment? I just want to fangirl over her in peace without having to argue with people.
Edit: Seeing your replies to @QueenArya, I assume you're also Wu Jinyan's fan so I feel like you've definitely misread or misunderstood my original comment since we have nothing to argue about. But I'm not vibing with the fact that you're still getting into an e-fight over this instead of simply admitting that. Like girl, we all have misread things once in a while, it's normal. Chill. This is not a palace scheme in The Double and you aren't some princess wanning to be throwing stuff at me like that.
Ah, the dedication it might've required for you to give 3 thumbs up while hanging upside-down from the ceiling. Keep working hard like this sweetheart.
