The MC and by the Emperor of Northern Qi/Zhan Dou Dou. When her gender began to get questioned by others, she drugged Fan Xian with the help of Haitang Duo Duo and Si Li Li (both of them know her secret and are loyal to their kingdom, that's the reason why Haitang never ended up with the MC) to get pregnant herself and make others believe that she's a man through showing them a child. Zhan Duo Duo then married Shi Li Li as imperial noble consort and announced the child as theirs (and that Shi Li Li carried it). Fan Xian only found out about the child quite late into the story.
Not only was it a terrible thing to do, it also made no sense because if Zhan Duo Duo was going to claim that Si Li Li carried the child, she could've told her to seduce him and get pregnant (Fan Xian and Si Li Li even had a small 'romantic' subplot, he mistakenly thought it was Si Li Li who drugged him and did that to him that night) so it would've been more logical. The only reasons why she didn't do this could only be — either she wanted the child to have her own blood/lineage instead of Si Li Li's or she already had ulterior motives towards the MC.
Chen Pingping's wheelchair is lowkey more useful than having legs. It's got hidden buttons and all, can't say the same about anyone's legs in this drama.

36 episodes aren't enough I want this to become the longest running cdrama to ever exist. I need one episode each day until I'm on my deathbed and telling my grandchildren that they need to watch JOL if they want the inheritance.
Loved the meta humour in the beginning of episode 1, everyone pestering that woman to know what happened to Fan Xian because he stopped updating the story was a personal attack 💀
How did some of these clichés made their way into this drama? And who the hell even likes the 'salty girl who only exists to kill the vibes' trope? If you do, I'm going to track you down and tape you to the ceiling. You'll only have a stupid spider in the corner to accompany you as you reflect on your actions and goofy ahh taste.
Everytime there's a gl set in a lesbian bar, it feels like free therapy. There's just this comforting vibe, perhaps because there's multiple characters and even when they might be strangers, they genuinely care for each other, they listen to others' stories and share their own. Once I'm able to come out of the closet irl, I'm definitely visiting a lesbian bar. I want a bartender to give me some older sister advice and possibly a discount lol.

Season 1 is necessary, it's a continuation of that part, it can't really be watched as a standalone because then you'll have no idea about the context, or well, anything at all.
