I'll have to say that along with his undeniably handsome looks, he also has amazing screen presence and one thing about actors like him is that you can't imagine someone else in his roles, he makes the characters his own. I'm surprised he's pretty young though, he's only a couple of years older than me and I thought he'll turn out to be a decade older because that's what happens whenever I check a good-looking actor's mdl page lmao.

Just began this drama but I genuinely believe that Haiba must've been Snow White in his past life because this mf is always munching on apples. I won't be surprised if a thief broke into his house, cracked open his vault and found apples inside.

Good enough to make me cry. Short enough to make me cry again. Basically I'm a crying mess and this drama needs to pay for it by making a longer version.

I feel like he tricked her. He has been meticulously planning everything, down to the details so nothing would go wrong with his scams (or revenge), we've seen it ourselves. So if he had actually done that, it seems unlikely he would just let her blackout, wake up in a random room with half her clothes on, while an unknown watch is sitting on the beside table that she'll definitely look at. Even after she saw it and was in shock, he didn't make an excuse like "ah, that was a watch gifted to me last night by someone at the party" or something, he just allowed her to believe that she was drugged, SA-ed, and he caused it.

Otherwise, not only would it make no sense, this character is impossible for the viewers to sympathise with after they reveal whatever the hell is his backstory and true motive. Besides, I don't think getting close to some rich people who sponsor ballet performances and stuff would give him anything special, if he needed money, he could've gotten it through scamming some other way that wouldn't require a girl to be harmed, the same girl he has been with for a while already (which makes me think it was all a part of his 'revenge' plan). It's still a shit move to make her believe that it happened to her though (unless nothing like that took place and she's framing him), I feel bad for her and I hope someone would mix laxatives into his food if he's still alive.

Edit: Nevermind, he made her suspect it at first but later made an excuse in the beginning of episode 6, so I guess that part of my comment didn't really stand the test of time. But she's being implied as an unreliable narrator now so idk. Whatever's the case, I hope the one who's in the wrong, gets what they deserve. I'm not fond of the revenge-SA and find it impossible to defend, the writers better have something else in mind.

Honestly, I'm fine with Joy of Life being a trilogy as long as they maintain the same quality. The novel was quite long and they've already dealt with the dragging aspect (Fan Xian's harem + hopefully the drug rape won't happen either) in the first season by reducing the amount of women who are interested in him all at once, so I feel like it'll remain good. Joy of Life is one of my favourite dramas to begin with, when I put aside my fear of potential disappointments that sequels often turn out to be (for example I didn't like season 2 of Arthdal Chronicles as much), I'm in fact happy to know that I can watch more of this story, more of the characters and the world.

Waited so long I've forgotten the joy of my own life. We eating good this month.
