Great idea! I was just thinking about starting The Long Night after seeing Liao Fan's performance here.

Since it's airing internationally and therefore escaped the nasty censorship, I hope it gets the popularity it deserves or still ends up being popular even if it's nothing out of ordinary (as long as it's not terrible or toxic) — Why? well, because it might encourage other lgbtq adaptions to air internationally without any restrictions once they realise the benefits of it.

I was also going to put it on-hold until all the episodes have aired (It's going to end on 27 this month anyways, so the wait wouldn't be that long) yet here I am... still waiting desperately lol.

It always happens to dramas that are airing; either they have too high of a rating due to all the hype, or low ratings because the only viewers who bothered rating the drama aren't much fond of it and just wanted to vent some way lol. The ratings would only matter once the drama is completed.

I just went through five stages of grief in the span of just two days while waiting for the next episodes and turns out I'll still have to wait a lil longer. Damn.

I desperately hope it's the latter. Protagonists that are literal Einsteins are still better than idiotic ones.

And the notorious torture method called "waiting for the next episodes to come out after the last episode ended with a cliffhanger" begins...

Honestly, same. Shengli is an opportunistic person and he has lowkey betrayed Baojin before, he can surely do it again. I don't get why Baojin mentioned it so casually too... Like, bro do your business in this creepy forest and go. I swear if anything happened to Lai just because this guy ran his mouth while peeing, I would start a riot. He only knows Lai's secret, he doesn't own it and have no right to share it without her knowledge.

'Light on Series' is like a list of short-duration dramas released by iqiyi that fall under thriller, crime or mystery genre. They're often adaptions of novels. Some of the popular Light on Series are: The Bad Kids, The Long Night, Kidnapping Game, Crimson River, and Sisyphus.

I doubt it'll have a second season. Light on Series are almost always 12 episodes long and they tend to have endings that won't leave the viewers unsatisfied.

I think this might end up becoming one of my favourites out of all dramas under Light on Series. Gold Panning is the pinnacle of mystery genre.

Yeah, if interacting with each other is spamming in their eyes then let them be. I pity those who've never had serious discussions, jokes, and playful bickering with like-minded individuals. Honestly, I haven't seen it happen on mdl before either and there's also a few other off-topic comments that are still here (did your comment contained spoilers though? since even if you mark them, they can get deleted because not many people expect to see spoilers of a drama on some other drama's page).
