Seems unlikely. If it was just public outrage against him, he could still get a chance by attempting to make up…
Idk if I'm suffering but I'm completely frustrated for sure... Like why does everyone keep trying to put words into my mouth? ToT I swear, some people love to read too much into simple sentences.
Seems unlikely. If it was just public outrage against him, he could still get a chance by attempting to make up…
Eh? I already explained that I was not comparing these cases or accusing him, I brought him up because I thought someone else might compare them. Even the user who replied to me first didn't take it any further, yet here you are... Calling me an anti in all caps over and over again. If you think just using the word 'lucked out' and not even saying anything negative about him means I deserve your insults, then you're dead wrong. Imagine being pathetic enough to tear someone apart for not being fluent in an language...
Anyways, if you still think I'm an 'anti' Just take a look at my favourite actors list: https://kisskh.at/list/D45rBJB1 Xiao Zhan's been there ever since he acted in Oh My Emperor - his 3rd drama, long before The Untamed, and at the very bottom, there's clearly written that the list was last updated in April so I couldn't have suddenly added him to gain your approval.
They don't seem to slow down much but they're a lot less enthusiastic for sure, guess that's why it feels a bit...…
That's what I meant by the lack of enthusiasm. Everyone still wants this drama, just not right now so there's not much comments excited for hyx to drop this month, unlike how we all used to be like just a couple of days ago. I agree with your comment below that the ZZH situation did affected us indirectly.
is it true that meatbun has once said that wanning does not poop ? XD really?is that place merely for moran to…
Yep, she posted it on weibo that he absorbs nutrients by using his spiritual power thus doesn't ever need to use the toilet. This has to be the best and weirdest canon fact about 2ha. 💀
Is it just me, or did the comments slowed down a bit? 😭
They don't seem to slow down much but they're a lot less enthusiastic for sure, guess that's why it feels a bit... empty and lonely? It does feel really weird though.
I find it really cute how majority of this comment section went from "Penguin, drop hyx RIGHT NOW 🔪" to "Idc if we'll have to wait a lil longer, this drama better not release this month" because everyone's worried the recent situation would cause harm to this drama and the cast. Like have you all ever come across a fandom so endearing and selfless? 🥺
So much arguing and infighting... Mods will lock this comment section at this point.Bro I said they will lock…
Honestly, I do think it should be locked until everything has calmed down because discussing politics isn't something that should be done at a website dedicated purely to dramas (although I'm guilty of participating in this comment section), but I fear that rather than people being quiet, they'll look for other comment sections or use forums to continue the discussion. In which case, it's better to keep the crowd here than let them lose on the whole mdl.
That's just how drama/movie/novel titles are like. They're supposed to add to the ambience instead of being descriptive, many of them don't even make any sense until you watch the drama/movie (Examples: Drowning Love and Liverleaf).
It's usually Japanese content that has long and descriptive titles (although it has been changing lately at least when it comes to movies), because japanese Webnovels are published on Syosetu. And Syosetu doesn't have covers, so authors are unable to catch reader's attention by using a flashy cover. Their only option is catching the reader attention through the title (by catching attention, I mean getting enough attention so that the reader may be interested enough to click on the novel and read the synopsis. Because the readers won't read the synopsis of all novels and stuff). This led to the current environment of gigantic titles, in both novels/mangas and dramas/movies, as they're a good way of calling reader attention, by explaining the gist of the story through the title itself.
The mc in tharntype, with childhood trauma due to being molested, was raped twice by the ml in just first 2 episodes…
'Attacking me for my opinion is like kicking a child who just asked for something to eat.' What kiddo is going around asking for non-con lmaooo. I just can't.. It's too funny how hard you're trying to play the victim card here. Alright, I'll back off, otherwise it'll be harder for you to come up with more excuses. 💀
Seems unlikely. If it was just public outrage against him, he could still get a chance by attempting to make up…
I understand that you was just trying to explain clearly so nobody would've any misunderstandings about his case. In fact, I do believe I should've expressed myself better in my original comment since I literally typed it in a half-asleep state lol.
I am no Chinese. But this was huge mistake and even going there knowing fully the what the tample meant for China.…
Yeah and it's kind of worrying tbh. Hope he gets help if it gets too hard to handle alone and doesn't take a wrong step... I really don't want to wake up to yet another saddening news caused by people not treating an actor like a normal human being with emotions.
Exactly! The fact that it's still 2 eps on YT and not even subbed yet and people already rated it this low? We…
I think it's just the homophobe™ back to their work. Someone needs to tell them that they can just close their eyes if even seeing the existence of a CENSORED gl adaption is taking a mental toll on them.
The mc in tharntype, with childhood trauma due to being molested, was raped twice by the ml in just first 2 episodes…
Being willfully ignorant is not an 'opinion'. Also, since everyone's opinion matter in your perspective, why whine about someone with a different opinion adding and voting on this drama in this list? You can't just pull out the 'it's just my opinion' card while treating other's opinions like this lol.
Talking about The Effect, I doubt a drama that didn't made a rapist end up with his victim was glorifying serious issues and deserves to be called toxic. You're probably just mad to see that they showed the cruel reality and victim in severe pain, both physically and mentally, after what was done to him, instead of treating it like a romantic fairytale like tharntype did.

English isn't my first language so I do misuse some phrases or words from time to time. But I didn't meant he didn't suffer, he indeed did and for no reason at all, I was saying that it's a relief how nothing severe enough to cost his whole career had been done to him. It was just an offhanded comment because I felt like someone would bring up his case to say that ZZH might still have a chance to make a comeback. He's been mentioned all over the comment section anyways.
I am no Chinese. But this was huge mistake and even going there knowing fully the what the tample meant for China.…
Ah yes "Couldn't care less who you are" as if I was trying to make you care about my identity (which weirdo does that anyways? Am I going to get free cookies for it or something?), rather than explaining that I DO understand the severity of this situation and why, and probably much better than someone who got all the info over the Internet and never personally heard an actual native's perspective. It's weird how you're speaking on behalf of Chinese people about this scandal YET didn't hesitate in dismissing someone speaking from personal experience. I'm not the one who's offended, you're just desperate to make yourself seem more moral than others and that's plain embarrassing. Also, if you pretty much understand that your cents doesn't make a bit of difference, why 'express' it out of nowhere under a comment where I was clearly admitting what he did was wrong? Are you actually this dense or are you just pretending?
That aside, I'm going to repeat myself for the last time because you just don't get it: My opinion wasn't even on the Chinese people. The public backlash was expected and he kind of did commit a mistake big enough to warrant it. What I felt wrong is the government meddling into it and ruining his career despite him already admitting to his wrongdoings. This guy has financially supported many causes, frequently giving donations during the covid breakout and floods in China, helping his country at any time possible, why should such a person not even get a chance to redeem himself? He has worked to get so far into his career for years, getting canceled for a single mistake is going to take a mental toll on him, but you seem more interested in flexing your moral compass like a broken record rather than caring about an another human being.

You didn't just wish rape upon someone over a comment...
