If his rape apologists dared to enter this comment section, they're going to catch these hands. (ง'̀-'́)ง

Though sounding very Bill Cosby/Harvey Weinstein-ish, every human being should be considered innocent until proven…
Ah shit, here we go again...
Anyways, for your information because it's obvious that you didn't even bother learning more about this situation, the person who accused him has evidence so he even tried to bribe her with 500,000 yuan (which she refused) and there have been more than 30 known victims of his crime who has come out so far. Not to mention, she didn't hide her identity at all so if she's 'lying' there's no going back and she might never be able to live her life normally, if she just wanted money or attention, why would she risk her whole future? Also, the only reason he hasn't been taken to the court yet is because he's canadian so there's many procedures, but does he really need to walk into the court for you to realise that he's a rapist and a pedo, rather than a 'human being' you consider him to be? False rape claims do happen sometimes, but that isn't the case ALWAYS. It boggles my mind how some people don't doubt him or keep an objective view but rather straight-up assume it might be a false claim despite all the evidence presented. Doubting rape victims has been way too normalised.

In short: If you're going to use the phrase 'innocent until proven guilty' at least make sure to know the whole situation, otherwise this phrase isn't going to work well when the person you're using it for IS guilty.

It’s digusting, I just read on weibo that there’s evidence to jail him for 10 years. More victims are coming…
Glad to hear that legal action have been taken against him and I'm so proud of Du Meizhu for standing up and giving courage to other victims. I hope he serves more than just 10 years since not only is he a rapist (which is disgusting enough itself), he's also a pedo for preying on minors, overall making him a trash human being who doesn't deserves any leniency.

Heard that a 19 years old girl accused him of drugging and raping her along with 30 more girls (including minors) and frequently participating in date rape and gang rape but what's more shocking to me is that his fans are still trying to clear up his searches and are pulling out the same old 'Listen to both sides' card while straight-up disbelieving the victims because according to their logic, 'listen to both sides' only means believing the accused. Honestly, I do know that false rape claims do exist but why would more than THIRTY girls lie against a single person? Not to mention, this person is even infamous for being creepily close to underage girls and have been accused of rape a lot of times in the past already.
Ps: I'm not accusing him of anything since there's no proof so far (or at least I don't know of any), but I'm tired of all the victim-blaming I've been coming across and how his fans are straight-up burying everything by clearing the searches. If they believe he's innocent then why desperately hide everything instead of waiting for him to come clean?

Edit: Damn he even paid the victim 500,000 yuan to shut her mouth? I don't think there's a need for 'proof' anymore, he's indeed a rapist and pedo.

Yeah it disgusted me too, I just can't bear to see child abuse even if it's in a drama >< There'll be an another…
Goodnight then! Hope you'll enjoy rest of the drama as much as you liked the beginning episodes ^^

I completely understand your sentiments. Those scenes were indeed really hard to watch and to make it even worse, it's not something that happens just in dramas which only makes me feel sick to my stomach. Kudos to this drama for handling such a sensitive topic without sugar-coasting anything though, because if we hated something that was supposed to be despised then I think we both can agree that they did a pretty good job.

Just 1 episode in and to say that I'm impressed would be an understatement. The suspenseful story, realistic performance from the cast, hidden symbolism and bleak visuals that make it look like they're stuck in the middle of an apocalypse - really exceeded my expectations. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be THIS good since I only started it because of the poster lol.

Edit: Completed it in 1 day by binge watching and I honestly really enjoyed it. This has to be the first drama where I had no idea what was going on in each episode (in a good way) and it lives upto the 'mystery' tag till the very end.

The only thing that bothered me was way too many flashbacks, some were indeed necessary to further understand the characters and why they were bought together to the river valley but few were also straight-up draggy and confusing. Not to mention, they'd give us flashback of a WHOLE scene that happened literally a few minutes ago just because a character remembered what the other character told him/her. Do they think the viewers have a memory span of a gold fish or something?

I also hated that damn grin on his face. He has done the most disgusting thing imaginable yet he feels no remorse or shame. I swear, I've never wanted to punch a character so much before.

Glad to know you're enjoying this drama though!

Not to be dramatic or anything but if hyx dropped years later when I've already turned into an old lady and died, I'd not hesitate in putting my funeral on-hold to binge watch this in my grave. Hopefully it won't come to that though, I don't want to be known as a granny who resurrected just to watch a drama...

Everything's good but my head hurts after seeing 2 cases of sexual harassment in ep 2.I don't even know how to…
Yeah it disgusted me too, I just can't bear to see child abuse even if it's in a drama >< There'll be an another case of child abuse (which is even bigger) later btw, felt like telling you just in case if it makes you uncomfortable and regret going so far into this drama.

Its not the best sci fi series, people here are overacting lol have you people see alice in borderland jap series?…
Both 'Imawa no Kuni no Alice' and 'Sweet Home' were released in 2020, this drama and most of the comments are from 2019. Do you expect them to time travel to the future before commenting or something? I don't know about mdl ratings but your own logic isn't very reliable for sure.

'Lucky Star' as a title is better for a typical modern rom-com cdrama imo...
Lmao now the whole sentence give different vibes just because of the emojis. My mind completely went somewhere else when you said 'a palm will be involved'... I'm afraid even Satan would be traumatized by my unholiness if went to hell.

Or are you talking about normal emojis? If yes, then you can actually use emojis on mdl now. They don't turn into question marks anymore.

Guess they'll turn it into a high-five to pass the censorship. 💀

Is this the actual cast or is it just rumored?
They've been spotted going for script readings while wearing the same butterfly shirt that seems to be only for the tgcf team, so it's pretty much confirmed. The only thing left is official announcement.

I wasn't saying it was going to be a rom-com, just that it sounds like the title of a typical modern cdrama with idol actors. Felt like explaining because I think you misunderstood my comment.

I agree with the second part though, I also believe they're going to make hualian a forgotten god - devoted follower kind of 'platonic' relationship, but there'll be hints of romantic love for sure, since the original novel was not as nsfw as mxtx's other works so not many scenes had to be removed in manhua and donghua to make it work. Judging by the rainbow masterpiece a recent danmei adaption 'Word of Honor' was, the bromance might only be even more obvious in this drama than there was ever in tgcf's other adaptions.

Honestly, when it comes to hyx I don't like being 'hopeful' at all since I've been disappointed way too many times already lol.
