It still makes me sad how we could've had 2ha game collab, manhua and hyx release at the same time and 2ha supremacy take over the world, but hyx is like that one guy who always get good grades at school but never shows up for group projects...
Apparently, a chinese ghost story now has a collab with 2ha that's releasing on 15th July and it finally makes sense why Luo Yunxi's ad for CGS was hyx inspired. We suddenly got 2ha manhua and mobile game all at once, but hyx is still nowhere to be seen. At this point, I'm afraid taxian jun himself might spring out of the novel infront of the Tencent’s main office and try to assassinate the Ceo for taking so long to release hyx.
Whatever, can't wait to make 2ha my whole personality after those two drop. 😌✌️
Is it a bl or a bromance ? Even if there is no kissing and stuff, do we understand that they are dating ? LMAO
Censored bl. They even got married in the end without explicitly saying that they were marrying (so this drama wouldn't get banned by the chinese censorship board), they basically wore same red robes, decorated their Manor in red, acted all lovey-dovey and spent time together. There wasn't 3 kowtows/拜堂 or wedding vows but it was obvious.
I find it so cute that all commenters here have very similar profile pictures xD
Yeah most of users here have pf pics from either The Untamed, Word of honor, other danmei novels, historicals, donghuas or animes. I even saw a few with the exact same gif as their pf. It feels like we're just a one big family lmao.
Just found out that Wulong nuts is sponsoring hyx, and now I can't stop thinking about Chu Wanning randomly advertising them in the middle of a scene by solemnly saying "I like nuts in my hands" while holding the packet of nuts and with an expression that looks like Wulong nuts owes him money for a lifetime...
What's with these nuts and their sudden obsession danmei adaptions though? Not complaining, just wondering.
ok, let´s kill the time. everyone share your favourite scene from the book! or if you haven´t read .. what are…
For me it's when ranwan first met, Mo Ran saving worms during rain, spring bath reunion (for obvious and not-so-pure reasons), ghost wedding, the 'good night Mo Ran' scene, how Mo Ran actually got his name 'Ran/fire' by his mother, lil Chu Wanning hanging out with his shifu in the past, Chu Wanning being like 'Shut up and take my money (along with my poor disciple's)' right after hearing that the elixir for getting rid of nightmares tastes extremely sweet, Taxian Jun naming his sword 'Bugui/no return' while being unaware of his feelings for Chu Wanning and when heartbroken Xue Meng 'became 3 people all by himself'. I honestly can't choose just one out of these, they all are dear to me.
It’s good to laugh while waiting *read caption please*https://twitter.com/chuwwanning/status/1413513875840851978?s=21
Things like these from the original novel is what makes me hate censorship even more; Like we could've had Chu Wanning slowly losing his soul after realising the ranking list he was reading was NOT talking about their heights and then panicking to death in it's full glory but we can't even get them to admit being an couple in hyx. All the seriousness aside, what did Luo Yunxi originally saw on the screen though? He legit screamed like he was ACTUALLY faced with Mo Ran's absolute unit. 💀
My pet peeve is seeing rom-coms that were filmed like 2 months ago, start airing. It fills me with RAGE.
Same, also when a recently confirmed drama mid-shooting starts dropping trailers, teasers and official photos. Take Luo Yunxi's new drama 'Light Chaser' for example, it got confirmed like a week ago yet there's so much content already... Meanwhile, we didn't even get the yogurt ad we were anticipating.
I hate you Tencent I hate you!!!!!! Stop playing with my emotions (start sobbing*) bye I'm not coming back here…
At this point, I believe tencent has just completely forgotten about hyx. No wonder they're not dropping it anytime soon :| Btw you've a nice pf pic (☛ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☛
Have you seen the actors in any other dramas? Which ones would you recommend?
'Ever Night' is Chen Feiyu's best work so far, you'll surely enjoy it. As for Luo Yunxi, if you want a rom-com 'Love is Sweet' is your bff, if you want to see his diversity 'Ashes of Love' & 'Princess Silver' deserve a try (though he's not the mc in them) but if you simply want to see him being an eye-candy and a smooth mf then 'And The Winner is Love' is exactly what you might be looking for, it's not that great story-wise but it's one of Luo Yunxi's best performance.
Ok but I hope both of the main leads would get to voice their own characters (like in hyx and ashes of love). Their voice is PERFECT for their characters and I'm high-key tired of listening to the same dub artists being used in like every other historical out there. I get that there's some valid reasons for dubbing in cdramas, but still it's not THAT hard to have the cast voice their characters, it has actually been quite common lately and personally, I prefer it over the same old voices. Not to mention, Zhai Xiaowen has such a unique vocal colour, it sounds slightly high-pitched when he sings (like here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f_zOkfhjLmM&gl=JP) than when he speaks but it's really delicate and reminds me of Xielian.
Edit: Now that I think of it, I wouldn't actually mind if the donghua voice actors dubbed hualian either.
