Episode 52 - uncut ending part of the kiss of the century with eng translation. They should have included it in the drama!!!! - Link and translation in the Spoiler!! I know some people have shared this before. Just in case some haven't seen it yet, since they could have missed it! :)
It seems like xianxia stories are adapted to dramas that fit the taste of a broader Chinese audience. As an American,…
Unfortunately, I'm not into reading novels, hehe. But I've read many feedback from drama watchers who have read novels. They say this drama adaptation is better than the novel. I am a visual person and prefer to watch stories come to life on screen. I'm a sucker for deep romances. So those who love sweet romances and sacrificial love along with fantasy will most likely enjoy "Love and Redemption." If you didn't like Eternal Love, and Ashes of Love, maybe Love and redemption is not your cup of tea. If you liked them, you will surely like Love and Redemption. But some drama watchers who didn't like Eternal Love and Ashes of Love, actually liked Love and Redemption also. So I guess it's personal taste?? As another person suggested, maybe Joy of Life might be more your cup of tea. It was very thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat - it has great acting. The male lead is quite mature, and although there is humor - but it's not dumb comedy type. Maybe check that out! But it did not have enough romance to my liking. Like I said, my favorite are romance stories. :)
I’ve been hesitating to watch this show ever since it aired but now I’m finally starting it.... I know a lot…
I actually finished the entire drama. I don’t read synopsis and I usually go into dramas not knowing what to expect. I was really hoping for some redemption at the end and maybe that kept me going.. But in the end, I was disappointed. The costumes are beautiful and acting is good, but I can’t rewatch it. There was something hauntingly beautiful but also much angst and sadness. Too sad for my heart to bear that again.
I'm on ep 27 and I'm still so bored! This drama made me realize how important evil doers, bad guys are in dramas!…
Yea I agree! I couldn’t finish this drama unfortunately :( I tried my best though.. maybe just not my cup of tea. I like Vengao though but not enough to finish it. Wont give it a bad rating since I didn’t finish it.
Oh by the way, the subs are much better at this website by a fan subber: https://productiveprocrastination.site/category/love-and-redemption/…
Generally the reviews and ratings are really good for this drama, and if you continue looking through the discussion, there are so many positive things written. Of course, not everyone will love it, hence some negative ratings. However, it is among the top rated MDL dramas already (fluctuating between 9.0 and 8.9 stars average, which is not considered low). Discussion was super active when it was airing. And still relatively active now after it stopped broadcasting :)

Ohh I can see it from my end. I’m sorry that you can’t seem to access it. Viki and hotspot works right? Those didn’t release all episodes yet. So that might be a bummer. :(
Have u watched The Untamed? Its my top #1 #1#1 dramaaaa
I heard so many good things about it and really wanted to give it a chance, but I just couldn’t get into it >.< It is not at all the drama’s fault. Just not my cup of tea ^^;; I have not liked any bl before... maybe that’s the reason?
I just wanna a pure badass xianxia drama. NO COMEDY, NO CRINGE CAST, FULL OF THRILL, MATURE MALE LEAD. Cant you…

The trailer is a mess, but the drama isn't so watch it.
I didn't even watch the trailer, or the intro song or the outro song. I still haven't actually, hahah! I only focused on the drama, and after the 59 amazing episodes, it's become the best cdrama of the year and best xianxia overall for me. :)
I'm on episode 19 but god i needed to say this somewhere bc i'm frustrated as hell. I hate Hao Chen so badly right…
Oh yea, I still remember when the drama was airing, and this discussion board was filled with people hating on him. hahahaha. You have to see his behind the scenes though because he is such a goofball. :)
I cant believe I finished this 59 episode drama in 3 days without skipping an episode. I thought nothing will…
welcome to the club. Ashes of Love and Eternal Love are my other top xianxia dramas. I couldn't even complete 1 new drama yet since finishing Love and Redemption back in Sept. I dropped several already. The timing is not good to see other dramas for me for now. Couldn't get into them! Not those dramas fault. Our two leads in L&R were just toooo good! Most of us here keep going to the behind the scenes and rewatching our favorite scenes. ^^
