For those who already saw Only For Love, is this a no break up drama or not? I read some comments that it has a very good ending. Thanks!

I liked this drama, it has some funny parts, a true historical, fluffy romcom.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched this one. At that time I thought it was a cute, lighthearted drama but I’ve seen newer dramas afterwards which are better in my opinion. I know the main couple did not break up and they communicated well enough. And both the FL and ML did not like anybody else aside from each other. While I wouldn’t rave about it, it’s not one of the worst out there either.

She did not get together with Zhang Zhe in both lives. In her second life, she almost got together with him but had to make a hard decision to stay out of his life due to something that happened with his mother. Xie Wei had been interested in the FL even earlier on. Despite his jealous outbursts and possessive, stalkerish tendencies (he sends spies to watch her movements and report back to him), he is protective, he does little things for her (including making the layered walnut cake that she liked), comforting her when she’s sad….. but he became more determined when the FL’s father started warning him away from her …he caught Xie Wei kissing the FL’s forehead while she slept, not that he was ashamed about it. He was arrogant in practically implying to the irate father that he has no intention of leaving the FL alone. Then he became more desperate and intense after the FL told him she planned to leave the capital and go somewhere far. His pursuit became more aggressive somewhere from episode 30. As for the FL, I think she was mostly scared of him and determined not to tangle with him but around episode 31, she gave in and decided not to leave him. I would say the pace in their romance picked up and their chemistry started heating up somewhere from episode 30.

I’m bummed about the ending, though, she died in her old age while he remained young and immortal. 😢

Oh yes, I loved the web comic version. I’ve read it on Webtoon and the story is really good. I was waiting for this drama in Viki to end so I can binge watch. Thanks!
