I used to mix up the actor of this drama with another who died in a car crash.
Now he has also passed away from suicide.
The suicide epidemic is ruining Korean cinema

Sadly, I would argue that dramas have stayed the same.
I think the novelty wore off. The best way to counter that is to stick to genres and your favorite casts or take a shallow approach and just watch for pretty people.
It seems to help more lol.
Lower your expectations and you wont be disappointed.
I personally do not watch dramas on serious topics like murder, detective etc but those usually higher production values.
I learn to cut the cast some slack especially if they are rookies.
It makes for a less frustrating experience.

Sadly, even those it is a good drama, suicide and depression are brushed off and simply used as a gimmick as in almost all Korean drama.
It is never taken seriously. It was a missed opportunity given all the recent celebrity suicides

I have watched so many dramas with a character called Tae San, some with the exact name : Jang Tae Sang.
There might be a meaning behind it. Can those well versed in Korean culture explain?
I know Tae San should be The Sun

I wish I can find a story with a similarly rich femal lead.
They all get broke by the end of episode 1 lol

I gave up on it by episode 2.
Chaebol families dont feel mystical to me, it is revolting

I sort of completed it but didnt enjoy it.
I love Gina Jin but most of her recent dramas have been disappointments

This was a wonderfully wholesome drama. I enjoyed it alot.
I think sometimes producers forget that simple kindness can make a drama very good

Well, to be fair Korean dramas are usually not watched for high production values.
Some dramas by cable networks tVN and jBTC might be exception.
Its better to pick dramas with lighter subjects or ones with your favorite stars.
You will be more forgiving that way.
Popular doesn't mean its good. It just means popular stars were cast in it lol

Maybe this will be the first Rich female lead drama I watch that she is not bankrupt by the end of episode one and becomes worse than a maid lol

I almost didn't watch episode 4 but I think it was the best from the season that I watched.
It feels like a more adult version of episode 2

Tried to watched the Honoka episode as the actress has caught my eye for a while but ended up watching the wrong episode lol

I don't get why so many of Li Qin dramas were shot years ago

I don't think this is better than the Korean version but I loved it
Didnt really care for the Korean version.
The reason is because I am a fan of most of the cast.
It certainly makes a drama more fun when it is so perfectly cast for you personally
