There is so much complexity to this young man’s tragic and violent passing. The politics and corruption of the elites is beyond comprehension. I follow this person on YT and she gives the most competent and intelligent explanations for the ties to the governing body I have been able to find.

I haven’t seen ep 20 yet, so I wasn’t aware of that. He may be feeling guilty then, or he wouldn’t have looked so panicked when she called and told him she was drunk in the pool. Guilt and grief often go hand in hand. He may not have been grieving the loss of love, but he can still grieve because of his inaction (?) which may have contributed to her demise (I still say little sister’s hands are very dirty because of her death).

Her role in Pearl Girl also. I was amazed by how forceful and yet vulberable she was. I love her acting, but even more as a person from what I have read about her. And, how she seems to take care of her friends and Fu BoHan.

He is going to be a force to reckon with when he is older. Already so talented and LuSi just fires on him.

It’s like watching your daughter grow up and take the world by surprise. After all the torment and ridicule she has endured in rl, she transfers that to this roll incredibly well. Maybe this character gave he the impetuse to kick her agency to the curb? No more bullying, no more playing along because it’s what’s expected of me, no more taking the emotional abuse just because there’s a contract. She’s a resilient young woman. I would love to be her grandmother - I’d be flashing pics and bragging her up everywhere. 🤣

I had a hard time watching him in that role! Ge was brilliant in it, but it destroyed the sweet young man from LR in my mind. The roles were polar opposites.

He numbed himself after his girlfriend died. And let’s look at his parents and how they treat his son - and his bear sculpture in the rock wall in the garden. He had no real foundation for maintaining or experiencing real love so it was easy to put his emotions into a box called “work” and not have to admit how much love can hurt sometimes.

I agree with you on this. And, it would not surprise me to see that she is directly involved with her sisters death. Think back to when she got him to come to the pool and what she said.

If you like costume dramas, watch him in Novoland Pearl Eclipse. It was the first drama I saw with him in it and he was hypnotic. It’s very good and he looks fantastic in costume and performing martial arts. And I completely agree - he is an excellent actor! (and those dimples 🥰)

They are supposed to look like characters from the vampire movie series called Twilight.

Barbie Pink 🤢 They were so funny walking into the hotel together. Both outfits were awful, but they carried them off very well for their plot!

He’s like her in that he’s not had parental support. He wasn’t tossed aside like she was, but they did ignore him even though he was with them (like the boy). Remember the wall in the garden with the little bear? That was him as child and even now as an adult. He’s too used to staring at the “wall” of parents who do not know how to love and show affection just like her also, and he can’t accept it because he had it and it’s gone. They are very similar, it’s just that she still has the capability to love genuinely and he’s hardened his heart after the passing away of FL’s sister. This is a very deep story on many levels.

I have thought that from the beginning when she sent him the text about being drunk in the pool when she first started working for his company.
