I am really glad it helped you look at the drama with a bigger perspective. We have become so desensitized to mental illness because people too easily throw those whom they perceive as toxic in the rubbish pile and ignore them, or make fun of them or say hurtful things to them.

Everyone deserves a chance to be cared for. But, learning to understand the difference between a real need for love and someone intent on scamming people through manipulation takes discernment and observation. It’s not based off one experience. If we gave everyone the chances that we hope others might give us, the world just might be a little better because if those opportunities.

Thank you again for reading the review!

Yes! 😂 “I have somehow managed to fall ant an angle away from the jagged rocks along the cliff which is several thousand feet high, while my hair and clothes flutter softly, land gently in the water and wake up with no broken bones or wounds, in a cabin that belongs to a wise old man who makes you dinner, pats you on your head and sends you on your way.”

There are so many times she stitches up the wounds in his heart, mind and soul with her words and he soaks them up like a dry sponge. She doesn’t lecture or mock or berate him. She approaches him like she did when he was young - with sincerity, patience and a great amount of love.

What a beautifully composed review. I love how everyone takes away something different yet comes to the same conclusion - that this was a good drama and has so much in it for everyone. Well done!

Agreed. I very rarely read anything before I watch a drama because most people assume rose petals, heart shaped balloons and cotton candy rather than rating a drama for its own merit. I found this a refreshing take on what it means to truly love someone with a mental illness (ptsd & childhood trauma).

Same here. Most people view any kind of relationship as disposable. If you don’t cater to my demands - gone. If you don’t agree with me all the time, gone. If you don’t make me happy 24/7, gone. If you don’t return my call or text me within my predetermined length of time, gone.

Her character was selflessly stubborn in regards to him. which is just what he needed to have those locks broken ❤️

Yes, I remember him saying that. It’s a heartbreaking way to think about love and himself. That is despair carried over from childhood trauma. His character is very relatable to me and people I have met. It’s like he had given up and was merely existing until he di*d and didn’t want anyone to see his demise. He was a very affectionate and caring person, but that side of him had been caged by his ‘mother’.
