Yes I also dislike him, he seems very selfish but not very loud about it but all his interactions carry a lot of self-interest for himself mainly.

I don't mind it actually, I find it interesting how the side-characters all carry bits of information ABOUT the leads, so their storylines never seem completely disjoint and every scenes carries a breadcrumb of information to build the bigger picture. I also like how sometimes some information is withheld for a while but later served naturally through some incident or conversation.

ML is a coward and wants only to get physical with the GF but she won't let him and wants to talk with him and hold hands which he denies her, then he finds our FL who has no backbone or self-esteem and she is fine with him cheating on his GF and making out with her. Anyone else describing it any other way are deliberately trying to obscure these facts and want to make it seem ok cause the GF is a bit nuts (but the most entertaining and intriguing character than the leads combined). However the GF is, it doesn't take away anything about the fact that the FL is a doormat and has no dignity and the ML is a pig who goes around cheating cause his GF won't let him hit it. Also the "but he is so afraid of his GF!" excuse is hilarious, if he is so scared why doesn't he bat an eye to go on cheat on her? Or the danger he is exposing the FL to? Cause he only cares about himself. People are so funny.

I got it! It feels as though soooo many of the sentences, the dialogue written here I have not heard anywhere else, that't it, it has its own flavour and you gotta be patient to appreciate it

As much as I am sometimes frustrated by the two leads lol, This series has this uncanny trait of warming you up to it, with all these small and random interactions where it feels like you really enter the circle of the characters in a subtle way. I'm at ep5 and it feels I have known the characters for a long time because how normal and simple yet unpredictable the moments have been. F.e. it feels it has been ages looking back how the FL got into their circle, the way the lab guys joined the blind date, the natural transition to her applying, the introduction and inclusion of the other professor, all of these details are scattered but build up slowly. You can tell a lot of attention was given to the script and the directing of it, I love it, It has been some time since I saw sth this special.

the creepiest character ever, I can't even tell what he is about so I can only praise that for not being predictable or transparent. really got no idea what the guy is planning or why he acts the way he does

That guy with the glasses has got to be the most agitating character I have come across in ages

I mean yes ofc I liked doing that too with characters but once I realized they don't really put in any effort to write them in an intriguing way and mainly to just move the plot along I lost that interest lol

yes it's written that way, also this is not just this show alone, a lot of recent shows are written like this, that's no coincidence. characters make no sense, they flip-flop in their decisions in the same episode and continue until the end

It's not being manipulative, that requires a level of deliberate intent to harm. It's the way these scripts and dialogues are written, they're designed to cause drama, put the viewer through a rollercaster of emotions, have the characters act any way required to move the plot along; all of it is done to keep the viewers hooked at any means. Nowadays scripts can't do it by being well-written but by invoking negative emotions of the viewers

This is more and more common now, byproduct of almost any piece of media out there romanticizing or normalizing cheating. The other day I was complaining how the "love story" of the currently airing drama "Summer Vacation" starts with the ML cheating on his GF cause she doesn't let him hit it, and the FML has no backbone and makes out with him cause, and almost every comment was trying to downplay the cheating aspect

yes it is and people watching it purely out of entertainment and being obtuse this being a reality for many women and might be triggering is straight up stupid

bruh people I promise you once you don't care about the ratings you can enjoy things easier, it literally doesn't matter one bit

Maybe if the girl didn’t make out with her boyfriend she wouldn’t need to try kill her. And maybe if the guy who apparently „fears“ his gf had tried to talk with her and hold her hand and not date her for a status symbol and then go make out with a random girl cause his gf didn’t let hit it, none if this would have happened? You guys are trying to hard to exonerate the leads from being stupid and shitty characters by highlighting how it’s ok if they did that to HER

I don’t need to admit sth that’s not true? Being pissed at cheating is the normal thing. It’s cheating even if you like the cheater and dislike the person that was cheated on
