Calling it a prequel doesnt change anything, 6 episodes of prequel story telling without anything answered or explained? This is like saying a research paper was just an abstract while the abstract makes no sense whatsoever hence the paper based on it can’t either or simply doesn’t exist.
Also wasted time is a personal offense.

Even if they had 16 episodes it would not have changed anything other than adding more filler content. The problem of the show is that the writing is bad and stupid and no creativity was put into it beyond the concept of the lines.

The ending is really bad and so is the show. A show is supposed to tell an engaging story and not just „confuse“ you, literally no one watched hours of content to get confused, that makes no sense and is an excuse. That’s what someone says when they fail to deliver. And the criticism of the show went beyond just a cliffhanger.

no the finale was consistent in that it was directionless and a bunch of nonsense, it was all just divided evenly across the 5 episodes so it felt there was hope for explanations but then the finale increased in all of its flaws tenfold so that's why it appears like it's a bigger letdown but the story was never going anywhere anywhere

with trashy shows I think they meant like business proposal or sth of that like (least I did), which I'd considered low tier but they had success cause they found their audience.

yes to the second part and I remember this happening more and more when they started with netflix and co and brand the shows more for western audiences, which was a fail, because I remember anyone who used to love kdramas, were all came from western shows and had been tired of them and didn't wanna watch them and kdramas had their own unique charm but they then just tried to copy and paste most of the stuff of their own dramas like a factory or go more west and show depravity or crazy stuff and they lost their unique charm. now there is nothing special about them. any dramas feels like a collection of scenes and tropes you have seen before already, no character or plot feels memorable or enjoyable.

as I predicted, the show never intended to explain anything and it actually got worse by introducing new fantasy elements without any logic whatsoever. it just throws some concepts at you hoping they stick and it went borderline insulting and stupid in the finale. it never intended to make sense whatsoever or answer any questions. what an utter waste of time, glad it was only 6 episodes.

Be ready to never have the answers for those, I doubt they'll resolve this in 2 episodes. It's one of these dramas where they introduce a concept but never explain the origin or any reasoning for it, it just exists

because it feels like so many old plots and scenes we have already scene patched together, it doesn't hit as it would back in the day if you've watched similar shows who did all better

and I'm sharing my opinion? how come when you do it it's not serious but when I do it is? and yes many trashy shows have higher ratings but they usually have their own audience it's made for but this one doesn't stick with anyone

no it's not? enough people don't think so hence the rating, you can't just enforce your will like that lol the show's cr*p. a show has to be outstandingly good to get a 8.8, you can't say "even if you don't think it's the best" and then hope for a best rating. there is nothing memorable about this story, it ends tomorrow and there was absolutely no point to any of the episodes as of now except a prolonged reveal of Lee Da Hee's character

I was replying to the commentor who said the drama is good cause of the intro...there are always pervs who just praise anything as long as it got filth in it, that's so brave to them and 10/10 they'll admit to watching c'rn hence their comments and their inability to realize how abnormal it is to be gleeful about watching others do it

They're saying Lee Da Hee's character is too good for him cause he is a dog who puts his thing anywhere, hope that helps. Other than that, he is a boring character and characters can be hated cause of that since they're supposed to be entertaining or have a point. He's a clueless useless cop who got a lot of red lines, his relationship with his niece was severely lacking, he only ever know what the female lead knows and it takes him annoyingly long to find out, so essentially as of now his entire presence is pointless

you're right that it's absolutely pointless, just an "interesting" concept that makes people fill in the gaps with their interpretation, there will be no explanation where these lines come from etc you'll see, it's just a concept to then fill a show with some scenes, all these 4 episodes so far were pointless, the plot is scattered if it even exists, it doesn't know what story it wants to tell and since there are only 2 left, you're gonna realize in the end what an utter waste this show was but thinks it's groundbreaking cause it's about the most fundamental activity every human knows about
