You are so correct on that. The Japanese keep it concise. It's one of the many reasons I have not been watching CDramas. They spend too many episodes with plots that are useful to the overall story.
really... people who still use "i dont hate chinese, its cpc that i hate"if you want to promote hate, please do…
@Rebekah , I applaud you for your stance. Keep your head high. I boycotted the recent Disney release of Mulan (because of the camps) and I also will not be watching anything that has an actor who supports the suppression of people (i.e. Liu Yifei). Many arguing with you over here are only care about their idols. There is a bigger picture.
I can't remember a single drama I've watched that isn't romance or rom-com. I always ask if the ending is happy…
I also check the ending for the same reason. My time is valuable and I will not waste anymore time watching thing that don't give me the ending I find acceptable.
Congratulations on a great 1st article. I used to have persistent NDD and I would just put the dramas on hold. Last year I decided to go through the list and clear them by either watching them or dropping them. It was successful. Dropping dramas is still a bit difficult but I am better now. I dropped Mad Dog after 9 episodes when I saw where the plot was going. I check later episodes to verify and I was correct. The most important thing to remember is that your time is valuable, so why waste it on something is of low quality (acting, storyline).
I don't necessarily agree with all of these. I think some had really good stories but, while some were definitely…
I am with you 100%. I enjoyed Five Enough because of the main leads and the way they showed the difficulties of blending a family. It was a mature story.
Great article! I agree with most of them, except for the Fight For My Way 2nd couple. I personally found them…
I agree with you on Fight My Way. My sister dropped the drama because she found the 2nd couple very annoying. There are better ways to show hardship with an existing couple, for example in "One More Happy Ending" we had a divorce and cancer storyline with the characters of Baek Da Jeong/Kim Geon Hak . It was great.
My tdrama journey started 10 yrs+ with Devil Beside You followed by Why Why Love (which has the same leads).
To newcomers, I would highly recommend Tdramas because they offer a different flavor of drama compared to Korean dramas, Thai dramas, Japanese dramas, and Chinese dramas. Even though they don't make many dramas per year, their story lines tend to be more diverse. I would highly recommend watching older dramas like Mars (2004) and Autumn's Concerto. And of the more recent stock, I would recommend Back to 1989 and Refresh Man.
