8 is way too generous for this drama.

Had I known it would be like this through the end I would have dropped it too but I watched it as it aired. Also there are some mixed opinions. Some loved it (maybe there are young viewers) while others thought the storyline was just terrible and weak.

You mentioned you are on episode 12 so I must warn you the writing doesn’t get any better. I kept watching and hoping for a better plot and ending but I was utterly disappointed through the very end.

I agree…the way these characters are written, they don’t think and behave like normal adults even though they both have PhDs!
It’s hard for me to believe that a successful vlogger would be so petty to come up with an elaborate revenge plan to make the ML fall for her because she assumed he stood her up. You’d think she would have moved on by now. She is a hypocrite doing the same thing as Gou Fei and her assistant who made assumptions about her and planned a revenge. These adults in the drama lack communication and jump to the first conclusion that pops up in their head and just runs with it.

Modern romance cdrama characters I dislike are those who are grown adults who are professionals or even doctors but act like young, clueless teenagers who know nothing about love.
You Are My Glory is the exception. They act like normal adults with the realistic, average romantic intelligence. Thank goodness. I wish more modern cdrama characters were written like this instead of clueless, fumbling dimwits when it comes to romance lol

Because they felt the need to give us a full story and closure for the second couple that no one gives two $hits about. 😑😑🙄🙄😡🤬

The screenwriters definitely relied on the actors because this wasn’t a very good storyline. There was nothing captivating about it to make it memorable and there wasn’t enough development. Good actors with good chemistry can’t save a bad storyline.

Towards the very end of the last episode. He asked her to marry him in the acknowledgement of his published work/book.

She was avoiding him almost to the end then bam! they are engaged 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m sure you’ve heard of the library kiss scene…well, it’s more like the almost kiss scene 😑😑😑 that was cut out too.
Then the miscommunication/ bad communication is carried through to the very last episode 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry to disappoint you but what you’ve seen through episode 27 is what you’ll get until the end. 😒 The writing doesn’t get any better. Its just more of the same.

My favorite cdrama modern romance is You Are My Glory. They’re smart, sensible, and supportive of each other. There isn’t an annoying second couple, the relationship is realistic, and they’re mature adults.
I didn’t care for the gaming part of it in the beginning but once it’s past that, the romance is the sweetest and there is a nice build up too. Both the leads are really down to earth.

This drama had very poor editing. They should have shown her thanking ZY for the very expensive fossil.

It’s her real voice. A lot of people felt the same but 2 months after the drama finished airing they’re still here on this message board so that says a lot about this drama.
