I liked his hair best in Arsenal Military Academy. So swoon worthy 🥰
I watched ALP for Xu Kai. He looked so good in that drama too but the second half fell kind of flat for me. I also wasn’t a big fan of the FL actor or the character she portrayed.
Yang Hua’s mom…what the heck are you thinking, lady?? Wow, I don’t even know the right word to describe her. She’s way too much! She has no boundaries and has definitely crossed the line. Someone needs to put her in her place. If her husband or son can’t, then leave it to Qin Shi to do it!
Also…can someone who knows share whether China is a patriarchal or matriarchal society?? I assumed patriarchal (as most Asian countries) but many of the dramas I’ve watched, the wives are the boss of their husbands snd families. Wondering if what is portrayed in dramas is accurate.
I am having a hard time getting through the 1st episode😅Was the kiss in the middle of the party really necessary??
Not necessary but I sure didn’t mind it 😝 She was in complete shock that her made up husband showed up haha she had to be convincing….he’s been away on business for a long time so she was excited to see him. Even her boss told her to get a room
You are not the only one to wonder about the dresses. I really think those dresses were highly unflattering and…
I don’t think any of the gowns she wore was unflattering at all. She slayed.
Those events were obviously a black tie, formal events. It wasn’t some regular office party.
As a top law agency who most likely represents high profile clients, I think her dress choices were appropriate. The anniversary party was for social and business purposes as you can see. Those who attended the charity gala must have high social statuses and money too so her dress choice was also appropriate.
Hahaha super overbearing!!Can someone who is Chinese fromChina please enlighten the rest of us if this is an exaggerated…
I’m Asian too, born and raised in the US. Asian parents tend to be more involved in their (adult) kids lives and the expectation is to get married and have children. In cdramas and kdramas, I always wonder if they over exaggerate the meddling but I guess it’s true to some extent as someone posted below.
I think it should be taken as a comedic series, with something social to say about glass ceilings, and parental…
I don’t see this drama as a comedy. Maybe there were a few funny moments but so far up through episode 6, the events and conversations that unfolded in the plot don’t evoke laughter. 🤷🏻♀️

It appears he trades stocks and securities.
I love all her high fashion looks in this drama.
