Check out You Are My Glory next..one of my favorite modern c dramas. I didn’t care for the gaming in the beginning…
OH WOW, CALM DOWN.

The person posted they don’t watch modern dramas so I just gave a suggestion. My comment was not meant to start any kind of argument. Like many of us here, we have been anticipating the airing of SAHPH. My mention of YAMG was not meant to take anything away from SAHPH so you shouldn’t take it that way. ✌🏻 ☮️

I never watch modern c or kdramas…I am here for the main leads and I haven’t been disappointed so far…though…
Check out You Are My Glory next..one of my favorite modern c dramas. I didn’t care for the gaming in the beginning but once you get past that, the romance build up is the sweetest. Both leads are mature and supportive of one another.

How is she childish?
Dylan really impressed me with his acting. It was hard for me to move on from LBFAD. He and Esther had great chemistry on and off screen.
I like both their fun, playful personalities.

Wait, wtf yang mi and xu kai paired as couple 😱😱😱😱when the fuck this happened?
Uhhh this happened a while back already. They wrapped up filming in 2021 but the release date kept getting delayed again and again and again.

There's definitely something about Hua's background, I thought he was being reserved because he doesn't really…
Agree! This character is the opposite of the character he played in Arsenal Military Academy. He’s a versatile actor

Qin Shi could've have gotten Li Dai & that guy fired. I guess she'll use that bombshell when she really needs…
Oh yes…I think she’s sitting on that info for now but she sure sent a clear message she knows the truth.

I stay in Asia pacific and am exposed to Chinese culture a lot, and I can say that it’s less patriarchal than…
Thanks, good to know

I liked his hair best in Arsenal Military Academy. So swoon worthy 🥰
I watched ALP for Xu Kai. He looked so good in that drama too but the second half fell kind of flat for me. I also wasn’t a big fan of the FL actor or the character she portrayed.

Yang Hua’s mom…what the heck are you thinking, lady??
Wow, I don’t even know the right word to describe her. She’s way too much! She has no boundaries and has definitely crossed the line. Someone needs to put her in her place. If her husband or son can’t, then leave it to Qin Shi to do it!

Also…can someone who knows share whether China is a patriarchal or matriarchal society?? I assumed patriarchal (as most Asian countries) but many of the dramas I’ve watched, the wives are the boss of their husbands snd families. Wondering if what is portrayed in dramas is accurate.

How is she childish?
Lol ikr??
For instance, Orchid from LBFAD and Meiran, who has a doctorate degree, from A Romance of the Little Forest 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

YM needs to grow up and stop playing childish role. You are f'ing 36. I just hoping She doesnt ruin Fox Fairy…
How is this a childish role? She’s an independent woman who’s a top lawyer at the firm.

I am having a hard time getting through the 1st episode😅Was the kiss in the middle of the party really necessary??
Not necessary but I sure didn’t mind it 😝
She was in complete shock that her made up husband showed up haha she had to be convincing….he’s been away on business for a long time so she was excited to see him. Even her boss told her to get a room

In a social circle where status and money is so important, I do think dressing like this must be pretty common
I agree. It’s not like she is a public defender who works for indigent clients.

You are not the only one to wonder about the dresses. I really think those dresses were highly unflattering and…
I don’t think any of the gowns she wore was unflattering at all. She slayed.

Those events were obviously a black tie, formal events. It wasn’t some regular office party.

As a top law agency who most likely represents high profile clients, I think her dress choices were appropriate. The anniversary party was for social and business purposes as you can see.
Those who attended the charity gala must have high social statuses and money too so her dress choice was also appropriate.

I’m glad he’s one of the few young actors who isn’t type casted. Too often we see actors playing similar characters/genre drama after drama.

What is the job of xukai in this drama ? STUDENT ?
He’s not a student and has already graduated from university with a finance degree.
It appears he trades stocks and securities.

Hahaha super overbearing!!Can someone who is Chinese fromChina please enlighten the rest of us if this is an exaggerated…
I’m Asian too, born and raised in the US. Asian parents tend to be more involved in their (adult) kids lives and the expectation is to get married and have children. In cdramas and kdramas, I always wonder if they over exaggerate the meddling but I guess it’s true to some extent as someone posted below.
