Somehow I don't see how Tao Jun Hui ended up with a fiancee like Wu Fei...they just seem so incompatible
I agree, I think both families felt their status were compatible. There is definitely an age gap too. Wu Fei is young, innocent and naive. She seems smitten by him but he doesn’t appear to be in love with her the way he was with Qin Shi. You can see the regret and longing in the way he looks at Qin Shi.
Check out You Are My Glory next..one of my favorite modern c dramas. I didn’t care for the gaming in the beginning…
OH WOW, CALM DOWN.
The person posted they don’t watch modern dramas so I just gave a suggestion. My comment was not meant to start any kind of argument. Like many of us here, we have been anticipating the airing of SAHPH. My mention of YAMG was not meant to take anything away from SAHPH so you shouldn’t take it that way. ✌🏻 ☮️
I never watch modern c or kdramas…I am here for the main leads and I haven’t been disappointed so far…though…
Check out You Are My Glory next..one of my favorite modern c dramas. I didn’t care for the gaming in the beginning but once you get past that, the romance build up is the sweetest. Both leads are mature and supportive of one another.
Dylan really impressed me with his acting. It was hard for me to move on from LBFAD. He and Esther had great chemistry on and off screen. I like both their fun, playful personalities.
I liked his hair best in Arsenal Military Academy. So swoon worthy 🥰
I watched ALP for Xu Kai. He looked so good in that drama too but the second half fell kind of flat for me. I also wasn’t a big fan of the FL actor or the character she portrayed.
Yang Hua’s mom…what the heck are you thinking, lady?? Wow, I don’t even know the right word to describe her. She’s way too much! She has no boundaries and has definitely crossed the line. Someone needs to put her in her place. If her husband or son can’t, then leave it to Qin Shi to do it!
Also…can someone who knows share whether China is a patriarchal or matriarchal society?? I assumed patriarchal (as most Asian countries) but many of the dramas I’ve watched, the wives are the boss of their husbands snd families. Wondering if what is portrayed in dramas is accurate.
It’s absurd.
Cringe is Hugh Hefner with his playboy bunnies 🥴
Yang Mi isn’t bad…still one of my fave actress.

For instance, Orchid from LBFAD and Meiran, who has a doctorate degree, from A Romance of the Little Forest 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
