unpopular opinion here…don’t hate me. the FL is so beautiful and I was expecting to be wowwwd by her wedding look but I was so underwhelmed. her hair and makeup did nothing for her and they could have chosen a much better dress. her engagement ring was underwhelming too.

I like this dark drama and imo, the sister is unnecessary and irrelevant. the writers/director wants to give us a dark drama thrn keep it dark. it’s unnecessary to “balance” it out with comedic reliefs. feels out of place to me too

Do doctors/surgeons not make a living wage in China? Why does the FL and her family speak as if she’s not able to support herself without her family’s help. I’m just dumbfounded by it. Sure, it’s great to have extra money and to be taken care of financially by someone else but if she truly wanted her freedom, she would have been financially independent.

He definitely walks around with a chip on his shoulder and it’s off putting. He has a fear of abandonment and subconsciously needs validation so he strives to be the best. Both ML and FL need to see a therapist.
