As a US person, I do not understand the subservience to the older folks. I respect my elders but to let them run my life is going several steps to far. The grandmother in the show wasn't bad, but the grandfather, that old man needed to be put in a home somewhere. I'm only to the episode that Donovan goes to dinner with the woman, she's so smary she makes me want to vomit. I wanted him to toss her over the side to cool her off.
Namtan really did carry this show on her back lol she is way to good of an actress for this drama, I enjoyed Pam and Dino together although I hate that they glossed over the fact he cheated on her which he did do imo but their romance was cute Luke isn't a great actor but he and Namtan have good chemistry so it made up for it. The whole women fighting over a man trope needs to go Jessica and Da were doing the most for a guy who just isnt interested I did think the love triangle with Aood was executed well though.
I tried to find a way to write this that was polite but I think the FL has not got any dignity. No self-love or respect for herself. The end was horrible, the ML character has not character development. It is horrific to watch. straight to my list of toxic ML

I've noticed this too and I've come to the conclusion that it's sexism. There are some actresses who are obviously weak, but there are some who can't justify so many people criticizing them, and this kdrama is one of them. She's now in a kdrama with Lee Jae wook and guess what, people are criticizing her for no reason.

No, Lily Alice, Eleanor Lee did not "find herself" in this "controversy;" you and other disseminators of fabrications, rumors, and half-truths, PUT her there with loose, fact-light articles like this one. Have some decency, and just stop.

I feel sorry for everyone that knows you Must suck being surrounded by an idiot who doesn't know world history…
Why should some people live their lives a certain way because YOU think God exists? While there is no proof to back it up 🤦 STDs originated became men couldn't keep away from animals. Did you think they magically came with the first gay person?
i would say it depends on the viewer's interperation, personally i 100% think it was strongly hinted as GL others…
The presence of a love confession at the 1:33:15 mark, and a physical display of affection in the form of a kiss on the forehead and lips at the 1:45:56 mark, establishes the unambiguously romantic nature of the relationship between the two female leads
Society downplays the significance of same-sex intimacy. "They are just friends." They presume a level of "more than just platonic" involvement between a woman and a man, and "just a platonic" involvement between two women or two men. This discrepancy reveals the deep-rooted nature of homophobia in human societies
I swear Arthdal has one of the most skillfull written antagonists I've ever seen. You don't necessarily agree with them, but you can understand why they might think the way they do. Sometimes you hate them, other times you want to root for them. And they're hella intriguing to watch. I don't think I've seen a fictional couple like Tagon and Tae'al ha before, two people who fell for each other because they truly admire how much they love themselves and what they're willing to do for their ambitions. They fit like puzzle pieces.
Lucky me, I got to watch all seasons back to back - one of the benefits of being a janie-come-lately to kdrama…
:-D
Strangely Taelha character didn't strike me as 'evil' just a great 'strategist - politician' with a hunger for power and empire making whose vulnerability was always visible .. the cracking of her heart was SO poignant to watch (Tagon's 'betrayal' of trust and her father's passing) .. And the moments of deep empathy that showed up on her face when Tagon fell into the abyss .. she too resonated with his failure to 'avoid the bloodbath' that set in motion the tragic downfall of an "idol" in the making who dreamt of winning hearts but ultimately failed.
The classic Shakepearean Tragic Hero (in the lines of Macbeth and Hamlet with Taelha as Lady Macbeth)

10/10
the depiction of the siblings' relationship was perfect, imo. if you have a good relationship with your siblings, you'll definitely relate to it!
