Now that the show is over, I wanted to give kudos to Faye for this good project. Overall I give the show a 7.5 rating mainly because of the cast, intimate scenes, music, and cinematography.
The show had some issues for sure like: - Wei-ling has been looking for Arisa’s mom for awhile but all of a sudden, Lalin and the journalist found her in three scenes; - There’s no backstory on Arisa; - For someone who’s the mafia leader, she was not scary at all and had no backbone lol, it’s surprising that she had no bodyguards when they tried to beat her up and was just crying and shaking, and even when the cops came to get her, she just surrendered with no fight; - While I understand that it’s realistic that Wit’ girlfriend could simply trust Arisa even though she just met her (because people in pain respond differently), they could have stretched it out a bit over a few scenes, maybe Arisa really rents out the studio and gets a chance to know her more; - After Arisa did the press conference where she accused Wei-ling, there was no follow up as to what happened with the media. Realistically, the media would’ve kept asking questions, that the company would eventually have to answer; I could go on and on about what could’ve made the show better, but I’ll stop here.
The fact that Faye used her own money to make this show and did it as a gift to her fans, deserves all the praise, respect and appreciation. For her first company project, this was a job well done 👏 The cast were really good and the intimate scenes were some of the best I’ve seen on most of the Thai gls I’ve watched…Well done Faye Malisorn👏👏👏
Feel good for EmiBonnie. They were not in the main cast of GR , came to the sets, had a ball , didn't care about the shitty script and didn't have to worry about the series . And are now shooting for one of the most anticipated series which is an adaptation of an amazing novel (for me personally) and being directed by one of the best directors available.

Even with 'historical errors' and antis trying to cancel everything related to this drama mostly from those who are jealous of IU & BWS being this drama couple, it still receives loves from viewers up to today. PC would have been even bigger than now. Too bad that MBC handled the drama poorly and made it possible for crazies to attack IU and BWS. And now we cannot even get the still cuts from the last episodes 🥲

After such a long drought, we finally received a romcom that reminded us of why we fell in love with the genre in the first place. This drama deserved far better, especially considering how much IU, Byeon Wooseok, and the rest of the cast poured their hearts into bringing it to life.
What remains unforgettable is how poorly MBC handled this drama, prioritizing profit while leaving the actors to shoulder the consequences. Gukminis helped the drama succeed, but the very people who built it with their dedication were left to face the backlash alone. I sincerely hope IU and Byeon Wooseok never have to work with MBC again.
And now, as if the controversy wasn’t enough, MBC has gone as far as deleting Prince Ian’s ascension scene over something as minor as a few beads. Before anyone misunderstands, this is not about disrespecting Korean history — it’s simply acknowledging that Perfect Crown is a work of fiction. The reaction and handling have been far from proportional.
This drama deserved better, and so did its actors.

What to say? MBC handled the flak from the criticism about the historical & story pruning faux pas the Korean…
The netizens should be eating the humble pie. A show that is fantasy & takes place in an alternative universe does not need to be historically accurate, it's a ridiculous postulation.
i.. don't understand the hate. i'm not usually into fluff romance, but i genuinely enjoyed this from start to finish. i think everyone involved did a great job of the acting and storytelling aspect, the characters were super lovable, and the script was fabulous. regarding the historical accuracy.. people do know this is based in a make believe alternate timeline, yes? much like the monarchy has long ended in korea, it's entirely believable that things wouldn't have stayed "joseon style" if it had endured at all. weaving different parts of the long and beautiful portions of korean history into the fabric of the story made it extra enjoyable. frankly, i think some people are just looking for things to pick at, rather than enjoying this for what it is- pure delightful entertainment. as far as i'm concerned, it may as well just be another fart in a wind. i'm just so sorry that any of the cast or crew felt the need to respond. YOU GUYS DID SO GREAT.

In the webnovel, PM Min is actually very very calculating. Heejoo once said, though PM Min has always been kind in public, he's actually more like nonchalant about things, he's not like IAn who genuinely cares, so at times there will be moments where he accidentally shows his dark side in front of Heejoo. So Heejoo knows how calculating he can be, she just didn't expect him to betray her.
I don’t really watch K-dramas these days since I’ve always been more of a C-drama fan. But recently, for the first time, none of the C-dramas I picked up were able to keep my interest, which honestly felt strange. I ended up watching Perfect Crown after being influenced by my sister, and I’m so glad I did because I genuinely enjoyed it so much.
Thank you, Perfect Crown, for reminding me why I once loved K-dramas so much before I retreat back into my C-drama dungeon again. This drama truly felt like a breath of fresh air. The lead actors were both new to me, yet they delivered such wonderful performances, and their chemistry felt incredibly natural—almost as though they were real rather than simply acting. I also adored the young actor and the actress who portrayed the Queen Mother; they both stood out so beautifully in their roles.
The story itself was also wonderfully done, and honestly, I wish we had gotten more episodes because I still don’t feel ready to let it go. What I loved most was how Ian’s revolution, from beginning to end, was always centered around Hui Ju. The parallelism woven throughout the story was absolutely beautiful and made the emotional journey feel even more meaningful.
