I watched first 6 eps. I didn't like the main characters. Espicially the male one. He is so mean and cringe. He is over 30 and yet so childish.Female looked strong but now so passive and stupid.The villain is written so poorly.I tried to watch this when I was in highschool and couldn't endure now im in my 4th year in uni and wanted to try it again. I could force myself for few more eps but that's all. Im so cringed. My rate is about 6 for this drama. Does it get better after ep 6 or should i just stop wasting my time?

wow, talk about Hater, I love Ha Ji Won, she is a great actress and I have enjoyed everything I have seen of hers. but carry on sounding Jealous, You could have just said, the FL is not my favourite actor..

I really dislike the ml as he was so childish. I thought he'll get mature in the next or the next episode but still he'll remain the same. Eun shi kyung was better than the ml and very sensible too. The FL could also be the main role as she had gone through so much hardship more than the ML.

Great drama! It is not the typical sageuk and that's what makes it unique. Song Joong Ki's characters was one of the best in dramaland!

Whoa! So much chemistry between Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In. I shipped so hard!

love this!!!!! i loved how they continued the kim yoon shik until the end hehe and thanks geol oh had another hiccup, ouch @ his first love :(....

but that part at lee sun joon not knowing the basics and still inexperienced when he's got beard already, this guy ...:-)

I actually ended up really enjoying this one. PMY was as adorable and great as I expected. She has probably the most beautiful smile in the world. And I can see why Song Joong Ki became a big deal shortly after this.

It was really nice to get through a saeguk that wasn't full of pointless killing and the bad guys constantly succeeding.

Omg!! Episode 11 (I think that was it). It's canon! Well, half-canon? I've been shipping Yong Ha (Song Joon Ki) and Jae Shin (Yoo Ah In) ever since the few first episodes and in episode 11 it's been confirmed that Yong Ha felt attraction for Jae Shin ❤ oh my~ Too bad they can't be canon :( their scenes are amazing!!

I liked the ending...It was cute... Still, I have 2nd male lead syndrome!!!!

Can you imagine living in a society where women were not allowed to acquire knowledge?, Where women were not allow to attend college?... It's a very frightful though t. We still see the injustice now days, when it comes to positions and salary, but compare to those eras... We have come a long way.... Anyways, Yoo Ah in, AKA, the most sensual lips in kdrama, should have been the main lead. I don't find anything appealing in Park Yoo Chun as the ML.... It's funny to see Joong Ki character here since I only remember him from DOS... I haven't finished the drama yet, I'm on episode 17, so I'll update after the finale.

I loved this drama. Every time I think of it, I get good feelings. One of the best historical dramas I've watched. I was just ready for it at the right time. Great actors, not overly dramatic--just the right amount of drama, comedy , romance--everything seemed perfect. It's been a couple of years and I think I really do need to watch it again. You should at least try it--It's totally worth it! Enjoy!
