I rewatched this drama so many times - at first absolutely hated Gi Seok character, then I felt sorry for him…
I would see how you feel in a situation when in 4 years of relationships you weren’t even introduced to your partner’s family. And that’s only one of the reasons. But it says a lot of that partner’s intentions. Her only fault she tolerated all that neglect for so long.

I rewatched this drama so many times - at first absolutely hated Gi Seok character, then I felt sorry for him - don’t ask me why 😅. But ultimately what you said is essense of his character and his own fault of failing the relationship. Although Jung In was too generous to say that it was their mutual fault of “failing each other”. I love how mature she is saying that.

I mean, I can understand to feel bad for him at the beginning, cause jeongin wasn't honest w him about her feelings... but as story goes on you can see how much of a dumbass he is. He neglected his longtime girlfriend, didn't respect her choices (as when she broke up with him over and over but he totally ignored it - and it wasn't even because of jiho, since she broke up w him before he discovered about them) and then he totally belittled jiho and got absolutely obsessed about marrying jeongin just cause he didn't want to lose to someone he considered inferior to him. He's a walking red flag.

I just finished this and I really love the vibes and the English OSTs from Ahn Pan Seok's work. One Spring Night…
Haven't seen the second one, but somehow find myself ranking One Spring Night higher than Something in the Rain. SITR was a bit too melodramatic, to the point where I found myself rewinding a lot in the second half of the series. The mother was too much to handle, and her switch towards acceptance was out of the blue.

Will check out The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.

Title One Spring Night Spoiler
didn't she break up with her boyfriend then why did they all call it cheating when she started seeing jiho
I think the FL was unhappy in her 4 year relationship and when she met the (new person) ML she realized that she really didn’t want to be in her present relationship.

She tried to breakup with the 4 year relationship guy, but he would accept that.
There was no real separation between old relationship and new relationship.
However if one person wants out the other person can’t force the other to stay in the relationship.
I know Kdramas are different, but I believe ‘No means No’.

The FL, NO longer wanted to be in her old relationship.

That’s my opinion, you have a right to yours!

"One Spring Night" is such a gem of a K-drama! The chemistry between the leads is off the charts, making every moment between them feel real and heartfelt.
What I really appreciate is how grounded and honest the story feels. It’s a realistic portrayal of relationships. It doesn’t shy away from addressing challenges like family dynamics and societal judgment, making the story relatable. The pacing allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the characters' development, leading to a satisfying conclusion.
Visually, it’s lovely with soft, dreamy cinematography, and the music fits perfectly, enhancing those emotional scenes.

just started this drama after Love Next Door and SITR and curious what people thought abt Ji Ho flirting with…
I'm afraid both the fl and ml do some conflicting things throughout the drama. The fl kinda cheated on her bf by not communicating to him that she likes another man. And even if she wasn't happy with her bf anyway, it's still partly considered cheating. I'm currently at episode 8 and yes, it's bothering me, but I'm too invested to stop watching. Also, their actions aren't presented as a good thing. I think the reason people like this drama is because it's simply about normal people falling in love and that's what makes it realistic.

This felt like a balsamic healing after Something in the Rain. Loved the supporting sisterhood, their relationship with their mother, every single side story was perfectly fitted and completed the bigger picture. Need I comment about the OST? I’m glad I decided to watch it, took me 1 year wasn’t easy after the trauma SitR inflicted.

To be honest yes I originally started this drama bcoz of Rain oppa but after completing it I am totally in awe of Jung Gyu Woon (Yongkook) , the vice president, the traumatized child. I felt for him and his acting made me cry. A must watch for the suspense, and loads of emotions.

I will always hate people like the husband. He didn't mind having a mistress and fucking her right under his wife's nose and then to piss his mistress of with money because all of a sudden he loves his wife ? respectfully go and fuck YOURSELF. To make matters worse his childish immature infidelity brought a child into the world, which it's perfectly fine abandoning ? people truly make me angry.
