I think it was very in character. She's stubborn and when she gets something in her head she won't stop. We saw…
Yes, the her relation with Ju Ran is a strong factor for her emotionally. And it's fine. But she dealt with emotions many times before (with her mother, with joining the group as underdog, with her stage performances) so it's unbelievable that suddenly she looses her mind because of this one, however important, relation.

Her choice to try to improve her vocal even more was just plain stupid - especially when her vocal performance in her minor role as the soldier just stole the show and she got a huge positive feedback from the audience about her performance.

What she should and would normally do is go to Ok Gyeong and ask her for an advice (as she did few times before).

Anyway I still consider this twist forced. And it's ok, no big deal. I was just facepalming for the whole episode, then I just accepted it and moved on 😉

Of the subtext variety, nothing overt
Imo considering they aren't outright labelling anything it's still kind of subtext? But that begs the question if they were straight would we call it subtext? And are we only needing neon signs that say here be lesbians for the straight audience?

But imo anyone asking "is this GL" is actually asking "are there confessions of love and kisses and fluffy romance", in which case the answer is no.

IMHO this show is obviously queer and anyone not seeing it has their head firmly rooted in a "straight unless they outright tell me otherwise" mindset.

I need to say that the plot twist in episode 8 was a bit unbelievable. It was not consistent with the character…
I think it was very in character. She's stubborn and when she gets something in her head she won't stop.
We saw it happen in the pilot when she wouldn’t listen to her mom, and eventually ran away. And in ep6 when she stole the play. She was told repeatedly to not overdo her performance because her small role wasn’t meant to overshadow the leads but she went rogue when she got jealous over Juran & Yeongseo's scene.
In ep 8, the tipping point was once again getting jealous after seeing Juran with Yeongseo plus Hyerang manipulating her emotionally.

Hmm. Dunno where to start from
First of all, THE ACTING AJD ACTORS WERE AMAZING! Playing characters after characters, while maintaining their original role, damn. It was an art.

Characters wise, not so satisfied. Jeongnyeon is talented and flawed. She's ambitious, so that explains her crazy acts sometimes. I do find her over the top sometimes and I didn't like the pity party they gave her in ep 8,9. She reaped what she sowed. She made others started blaming themselves and disrupted the atmosphere with her actions. She wanted to eat her cake and have it all the time. She's fitting for a FL but I didn't like her all the time. She got so annoying to me at some point. She was still given the protagonist halo thoughđŸ€·

Heo Youngso had one impressive character development. She's flawed, yet, impressive. I like her.

Yooran, hmm. I think I like her at the beginning but the writer seems to want to get rid of her and her aura, she started blending in as a supporting character than a main she started with. So disappointing. As for her decision, it was sad but not surprising. But that plotline seems like she got disposed from the story. And it was obvious with the confessions and all that that she loved Jeongnyeon and vice versa. Although, I would have preferred her with Youngseo.

Okgyeong was a complex character and her actions didn't surprise me at all. Her last action seem befitting of her, yet, sudden. Like another character disposal.

Hyerang wanted to protect what they have but she did it wrongly. And it's disappointing that what she and Mr Ok did got swept under the rug, because their actions affected the troupe significantly.

I like Chorok's character development too. I also like other characters like Doaeng and Jeongnyeon's sister too, amongst others.

It was a good one👍, although not so satisfied with the story.

damn why didn't anyone tell me this was queer coded as hell? I would have watched this so much sooner. In all seriousness the chemistry is insane between multiple pairings. Great acting from every single character holy shit.
Seriously one of the most impressive female lead drama I've seen. Very unique and incredibly engaging. The music is incredibly good as well. Jung Eun Chae surprised me a big time, she was so believable in this masculine role to the point that I completely forgot ever seeing her in any other role. I'm so impressed. I can definitely see the effort she put in this role.
Obviously Tae Ri was amazing but I wasn't surprised. She has proved herself to be versatile in many projects.
Only complaint I have is that I wish this had been longer. Ju Ran's ending was also miserable. Realistic but very sad. I wish we had seen a bit more after the last performance and it seems that some plot holes remain due to lack of time. I would say this was more on the obvious side of queer coded dramas, if you have eyes and ears, this was very gay.

For me, it was easily one of the best dramas of the year, the entire cast was incredible and all the characters managed to capture me in some way, whether I liked them or hated them. I even wanted to talk about the low rating this drama has, which is super unfair, Dramaland is increasingly swallowing idiotic romantic plots and letting incredible things go unnoticed.

Cheaters are so funny aren't they ? claiming that having an affair or a love child is not that big of a deal but if their wive or husband were to do the same...oh well they don't like that. She's stronger than me because my ass would have cleared his bank, left that ring on the table and silently left...actually no not clear his bank, burn his money or donate it. It's bizarre that cheaters don't see how wrong and disgusting their actions are. I'm convinced that people who defend cheaters are cheaters themselves.
