yes it is very disappointing how the ratings are so low here!!!! it is very underrated though the end could have been better but I liked all the show and the story was so good and flawless acting!!! mdl is always not trustable when it comes to know the true ratings of any dramas when at everytime I like any show I found it so lowly rated on mdl and the highest one rated are average and less for me so many times!!!!đđ
all the complaints addressed to this drama were not so convincing to me that I find it so perfect and one of the best korean shows ever seen as I am so picky to say it is a favorite drama for me, not always pleased by any drama I watched but this one was exceptional just from watching the trailer it gave a great vibes and impressions for me!!!!

It's the MIDDLE FINGER ON PURPOSE. It's called a "joke," and it's right out of the source material. Why didn't the producers say "It's in the source material, get a life, and STFU?"
When are Korean broadcasters, movie-makers, production houses, actors, and idols going to learn to stop apologizing for every little freaking thing two or three twits online complain about to make themselves feel "seen?"
I'm wondering if the complainers are even deaf, because I'm pretty sure deaf people also have this thing called A SENSE OF HUMOR. These kind of delicate flower reactions are condescending af.
It may seem a stretch but it's not, to say that this is just another tendril of the unhealthy netizen/entertainment/fan/puritan/celebrity psychosis in Korean society that leads to celebrity suicides. Every little f**king thing is leaped upon as an excuse to bitch and moan and put on the pretense of being offended from an imagined perch of righteous superiority. Seriously f**k off with these people.
The Korean Suicide Machine took out Lee Sun Kyun not quite a year ago, claimed another younger actor a couple of months ago, has been working overtime to kill off Yoo Ah In for going on two years, and has geared up to destroy Jung Woo Sung just in the last couple of weeks. Over the last 30 years it has claimed dozens of Korean entertainers. Since there's no chance of netizens growing up, the entertainment industry needs to stop feeding the beast with these stupid apologies.
ML is an unrelenting ass. I think I'll wait until this drama completes before I decide whether to pick it back…
What i can't get over when comments say he's already in love with her is he doesn't know sign language. i can believe he will start to fall for her but i can't believe he already loves her if he never bothered to learn how to communicate with her. So the way i saw it was just "I don't care about so i will treat you like sh!t but that will change later on when i develop feelings " but the drama seems to be going in the direction of "I'm in love with you, that's why I treat you like sh!t"
I only watched the first episode after I added into watch list but after seeing some of the scenes in this drama . I couldn't watch it because it's so annoying. So I decided to drop it.

I'm glad I watched this, despite the rather bad rating and comments. The drama has some issues sure, but overall…
Obviously, to each its own, glad that you liked it, more power to you. I was kind of the other way around, where I rather liked the relationship between FL and ML, and disliked some of the interactions with the exes. Though in the first part FL standing up to her ex reminded me of Astrid from the Crazy, Rich Asian movie, which I liked⊠not so much the about-face later on, where imho the show, to quote ReviewGeekâs review, displayed an utterly broken moral compass. And not only about the cheating, but about everything else, including MLâs father.
Iâll treat the claim that âthe show is not being appreciated because the majority of MDL users are âtouchier than average aboutâ and have an âimmature and one sided view ofâ infidelityâ as a serious statement, and not as an attempt to gaslight and shame said users for being realistic and having basic standards. I donât think that the facts support this thesis, in terms of explaining the showâs rating.
On the unappreciative MDL users âtouchier than average about infidelityâ: at the time of writing, the score here is 7.5/10, pretty good compared to 4/10 at ReviewGeeks, 7.1/10 at IMDb, and 65% at AsianWiki. Conversely, many shows that touch on the topic of infidelity on MDL, even with cheating protagonists, have higher scores than âForecasting Love And Weatherâ. For example, âHymn of Deathâ has a score of 8.3/10. So clearly itâs not a question of the subject matter, but of whether the series treats its own subject matter seriously, or whether it insults the viewerâs intelligence and common sense.
One distinction I would draw is that, if you look at the comments on Reddit and in the various KDrama sites, itâs pretty clear that how the lying, cheating exes are handled is only one of a series of issues. First of all, even with the exes the cheating was only a part of the problem: from betrayal and deception, to the job, house, stalking, drunken tantrums, violence and self entitled whining, it was a âpour oil on it and set it on fireâ situation. Then there is the issue with the MLâs father, who has literally nothing to do with the cheating, but that people had essentially the same complaints about.
So, clearly, rather than being about just the cheating, itâs about viewers generally not wanting the people that self servingly hurt the protagonists that the show wants them to root for to be given the opportunity to sweep their atrocious behavior under the carpet, let alone be rewarded for it with a happy ending. At the same time, they want the protagonists to have standards and to stand up for themselves, understanding that they are not obliged to act like Mother Theresa and give second chances to people that backstabbed and deceived them, or hurt them in other ways. Lastly, they care about the protagonistsâ actions being consistent and realistic, and certainly their choices in the second part of the drama were not.
Despite having said that infidelity was only a small part of the problem, I must admit that I cannot really take the phrase âimmature and one sided view of infidelityâ seriously. Letâs not pretend that this is some complex ethical conundrum. Is treating your loyal partner or friend with no loyalty, honesty and respect wrong? Obviously yes. Would the two liars and cheaters have wanted to be treated that way? Judging by SMLâs jealous tantrums, obviously not. Pretty easy golden rule level stuff.
By the same token, is the stuff with the job, house, stalking, drunken tantrum messed up? Yes. Strangely, here we donât see the same romanticization, bothsideism and pretense of moral sophistication (and reality of moral bankruptcy)⊠probably because trying to give the âmature, multi sided perspectiveâ on a drunk and a stalker appears creepy on its face, in terms of the optics. But really, they donât require any more or less maturity and bothsideism than the cheating did. These are equally clear cut cases.
On âone-sidedâ, I would say that there is, in general, ultimately, only one side (certainly only one valid side), which is what actually happened. And that is not being disputed, either by the betrayer/deceivers or betrayed/deceived (for that matter, I see little value in considering the perspective of, i.e. the stalking SMLâs delusional jealousy, that doesnât make his actions any less wrong, which is what actually matters). There is no secret angle to view the situation through that makes it better, nor any mystery to solve.
In that respect, SFL and SML are adults with agency, who are solely and entirely responsible for their decisions. Indeed, who else is supposed to be, if not them? Certainly not the victims of their deception, who were completely in the dark. Nobody forced them to betray and deceive their partners, and in fact doing so was cruel and completely unnecessary.
One wonders if the implication is that considering betraying and deceiving oneâs partner to be wrong, and feeling moral disgust at the prospect, is âimmatureâ, and conversely the âmatureâ perspective would be thinking that it is not so bad after all, and thinking that it is, is whatâs bad? Seems to me like a complete moral inversion, more âmorally bankruptâ than âmatureâ.
I suspect this is the crux of the issue, rather than lacking some mysterious piece of knowledge that would make the situation appear less messed up: some consider loyalty, honesty and respect important, even non negotiable, and their opposite toxic, even a deal breaker, while others do not. At least until they or someone they care about are on the receiving end, one suspects. SML docet, though what triggered his jealousy was definitely not a betrayal, and imho he didnât have any right to get upset.
I must say that if I considered them optional, I wouldnât probably be inclined to share them with my friends and partner: they might disagree, which would lead to a conflict, or worse they might share the same opinion, which wouldnât exactly bode well for the future. Thankfully for such a person (though probably not for their loved ones), basically any culture sees deception and betrayal as a problem. Traitors are almost universally reviled.
I would say that the âimmatureâ perspective on infidelity is one that minimizes it, trivializes it, normalizes it, romanticizes it, glamorizes it, or pretends that actions donât have consequences and ignores the impact on the people being betrayed and deceived, etc. Basically, the perspective of the self serving, self entitled man-child that was perfectly embodied by SML. Also the perspective pushed by the show in the second part (as opposed to the first part where it was actually taken seriously). The bad behavior is swept under the rug, and even rewarded with a happy ending, and the viewer is supposed to root for a relationship built on the betrayal of characters that they are also supposed to root for. Because after all, it was twue luwe.
SML was a scumbag that didnât deserve FL. It was appalling to see FL put blame on herself for things that really, would have never been a problem if the roles were reversed, and that in any case could have been easily addressed with a conversation and an amicable split up. The same could be said of SFLâs reasons (incidentally, she chose someone that was pretty much the worst possible option for her stated goal), but at least ML didnât do an about face and blame himself for being who he is and wanting what he wants.
SFL was less obnoxious than SML after the betrayal (but thatâs only by comparison), but was also called out less and didnât really even have a âredemption arcâ like SML (not that SML did, in my eyes, certainly not one compatible with his actions, which imho should have ended up at least with a restraining order, if not in jail, and really even with him being fired, and with FL/ML not going near him even with a ten foot pole, which made what actually happened even more unbelievable), and whose major regret was tied to her own interest, rather than by the appalling way she treated the people around her.
Iâll go into details in a spoiler block. The bottom line, however, is that realistically, people cut other toxic people out of their lives for much less serious infractions, and then go about their lives. They also donât put their trust in people that betrayed them completely (certainly not so soon, and I would say at all). People have boundaries, second chances are not a natural right, or something you are owed, especially when you have shown yourself to be completely unworthy of oneâs loyalty and trust, or done something so hurtful as MLâs father, in which case more than âmaturityâ sounds like âmasochismâ.
Just at a first glance, the synopsis isn't encouraging to launch the first episode. The only thing left is to check out what were they gonna do with the forecasting setup. They failed to establish why their job is very super important early on and waited a while to do so, nullifying the little bit of early tension it could have had for a good hook. As expected, forecasting turned into a small side plot. They barely done anything with it after a few episodes. The story was straight up not good. Whatever plotlines the drama had, it didn't put enough effort to bring them to the finish line, everything just magically worked out. The writer had no clue how to write and establish human and love relationships. What made matter worse was the non-existent chemistry between the leads. Even further much worse, the atrocious dynamic between the four leads, what even was that?!
The worst part is that with that cast, story, plot and chemistry they had all the elements to make masterpiece, but failed with too many small wrong turns in the show.
Its an awesome hidden gem with some really awesome set pieces, and a good story!
