Good drama, very light and funny until midway. The pacing slowed nearing episode nine but was still manageable and it finished relatively strong. Nice watch if you're looking for something low commitment but still involved plotwise.
can someone tell me how the painting of yeon woo helped her??? like I’m confused there. and also about the virtuous…
In addition to the other answer, being gifted the virtuous woman title meant the family would be elevated to a higher status, say, the royal court. If she had no family, it would fall to her husband's family and thus they could get into the inner courts and become an advisor, plus get all the things that came along with that position.
I'm confused about the painting as well, but I'm pretty sure that's how she ended up figuring out the person behind it all.
It’s based on a BL but played off as pushing the line bromance to pass censorship.
Yeah, if it's a c-drama it will always be the ambiguous bromance. Their censorship won't allow for more. Honestly surprised we've gotten as many passing BL adaption as we have over the past couple years and some got pulled mid-air or didn't make it out unscathed :')
I will recommend to watch till ep 23..!! It is completely worth to watch and is a masterpiece..!!
This is how I feel about HIStory: make our days count. I close my eyes and pretend the last episode doesn't exist. If I don't watch, it can't hurt me.😂😭 Thank you! 💕
Should I start watching this....It has been on my PTW list and I'm in a slump since more than a year now. Added…
I cried my way through this. Good drama. Found family vibes, a little cheesy in the right places, close knit friend group, unconditional love interest, fml who's figuring out how to function in a world that took her dream away and that doesn't believe the truth. It was very sweet, and honestly a pretty straight ride through. Nice, easy, tearjerker about family and love.
wait can u tell me about the sh thing I’m watching it rn 🫶 u can spoil idm
I'm not sure how far in you are, but episode 2 is the main one that shows the wrists and talks about sh in depth. If you skip past min 28 to 31 you'll get past the pictures of wrists they show. There's some semi-important information in the scene but I don't think it'll be missed too much tbh.
The jumping scene is in episode 9, if you skip from min 42 to 44, you can get past the scene. The scene is repeated from another perspective in ep ten so you'll need to skip from min 23 to 24 to avoid this one. Keep in mind the entire episode talks about the pressures of school and parents on their kids, which results in their mental health tanking.
God forbid for a minority to have a little representation in a show. "the gays are now in everything, they're…
Yeah the last one I remember that even came close to it was Reply 1997, and that was only a hint of it. I'm now excited to watch actual representation in a main character when it's not specifically a BL.

Mild spoilers ahead ❤️ In several episodes, they have graphic depictions and discussions about self harm and suicide. There's a scene where a highschooler is shown jumping from a roof and landing on the ground and another where the highschooler drinks pesticide and ends up passing away from it. In this one, there's many references to sh, and they show the cop scrolling through unblurred pictures of people's wrists after participating in sh. Further in, there's a scene where a girl cuts her wrists (the cutting isn't shown just the end result) and she's shown lying almost dead in a basin of water obviously having bled out from her injuries.
The depictions are not too awful, but I know that some people have different levels of sensitivity and they are graphic enough to have bothered my slightly. Hope this helps! :)
is it worth reading the novel? is it different (plot vise) from the drama?
The novel has a rougher feel. They really smoothed out things plotwise and connected everything together in the live action, whereas in the novel stuff just happens and some characters are not as important as in the drama. The romantic relationship between wkx and zzs is also rougher as well. I personally like them being a bit more brutal with each other, but still like the drama as I think it helps all the relationship shine a bit more. Still worth the read though if your craving content with them!
the first 3 episodes almost made me want to drop this, and no it's not because of the death of bulldozer, but…
That’s what made me mad and almost consider dropping it. Everything leading up to it was so far reaching and nonsensical. They set it up for impact instead of a believable story process. After your comment though I’ll keep pushing through.
Season 1 was meh, should I watch season 2 if I didn't like..season 1?
So, season two delves more into their complicated dynamic. I personally loved it, and the movie, eternal man, was even better in terms of branching out and exploring how their god/devotee-esque relationship works. But, if you didn't enjoy the first, then you probably won't enjoy the second. That being said, it's short so it's doesn't hurt to try it.

Safe and happy watching <3
