Such a good series, but the way they save people in a few of the accidents is admittedly really funny. In no way would that actually work like that. Still a really enjoyable show.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who thinks that way. I think the drama is really good and I thoroughly…
Oh my god, yes! The moment with the file drove me nuts. It was extremely apparent she should probably open up that file if the one person who it would be detrimental to was insisting she shouldn't.
The moment that she runs around the jeep and sees her teacher fighting for his life and he has to TELL her to run, and she runs off crying got me. Like baby, you have barely been able to fight back once, you get yourself into situations where others are sacrificing their lives for you, and you're still hesitating. She's portrayed as a smart character and I know the setting was a foundation for her shock, but the repetitiveness got to me. After third time, she should have at least got her wits about her. Only at the end did she gather herself together, which I was grateful for.
This is really well made, acting is great, and I can see everyone here enjoyed it, but the FL kept frustrating me to no end which dulled my enjoyment while watching this. I have so many mixed feelings 😂
This was a really good watch! I'm a fan of Esther in general, but I like how her character here was a mix of very happy/carefree but also powerful enough to not fall prey to the damsel in distress overly much. I really enjoyed all the side relationships and the progression of the drama in general. I do wish the plot and power plays hadn't been so convoluted, especially near the end, but honestly that's xianxia dramas for you.
Hi! I'm a newcomer on this website, and I find the comments to be rather intriguing. In my opinion, a comment…
Everything you said is correct, but unfortunately some people who don't know how to respect others have internet access and don't get repercussions for dominating a comment section. It's usually the same people across the site as well. I normally just don't interact and move on. I just came back here after pausing the drama for a little while to see how people were thinking now that it's ended and was overwhelmed by the spam here. It's pretty sad.
Despite the comments, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. There's some dull moments near the end that I skipped through and the end was predictable in the way most angsty backstory ones are, but I barely had any trouble moving through the initial plot and I loved the main couple. I thought they were super cute, and didn't take themselves too seriously. Bit of inconsistencies plot-wise and the segue in skip scenes could have used some fine tuning, but ultimately a nice and easy watch.
Is this about the main actress or is there content like this in the series?
I think what’s worse is you pushing all this onto an actress, or anyone really. Calling someone a child for a certain way they act is just as irresponsible, if not worse. If you want to fight these harmful gender stereotypes, then do so, but you’re on a drama page agreeing with someone who said children aren’t sexy, let kids be kids, about an actress. This is not the time, place, or level of appropriate behavior for this platform.
Day dumping Mhok was very very irrational and extreme. I could see them (no pun intended) arguing about Mhok not…
I agree with all this. I took Day’s pretty blatant selfishness as part of his character development. He’d always been the rich, lucky kid, and becoming blind was a huge deal. But everyone around him shaped their world to him. He took it as pity, and never really acknowledged how much Mhok was always there for him. I was really hoping they’d show them growing as a couple and Day realizing how wrong he’d been, but alas the drama took precedence.

While honoring history and originations is valid, commenting that the main actress is childlike and fetishized only perpetuates further harmful stereotypes. There are many women who act "cute" in real life and projecting on a thirty year old actress who looks younger than her age and is only acting out a script is just as strange.

Women acting cute is a very common Chinese trope. I’ve seen it in half the dramas and especially in ancient Chinese set ones. Don’t be projecting weird thoughts onto these women, it’s just strange.
