I did not expect to love this one as much as I did, but came out a solid 9/10 for me. Loved the romance. Really would have liked for the plot to be more lined up along the way rather than dumped in most of the second half, and there were some character deviations that I found to pull me out of immersion a little, plus it got a little slow towards the middle but what ancient c-drama doesn't. Music was 10/10. Absolutely loved most of the humor and the sapphic undertones Jin had, lol. Great drama and leaves you smiling (and crying but only a little ;)), definitely worth the watch

The second part gets a little cheesy, but ultimately worth of for the laughs and journey. A pleasant watch if you can grin and bear it through the leads having their moments while people are in peril around them 😂

Started off strong, but it felt like certain characters got nuked during the latter half of the drama. A bit of a let down character consistency wise, but the main and side couple is fun to watch in the first part.

Really enjoyed this one, short but sweet and the dynamics between the two is perfection. I absolutely loved the fl character, she was divine. The storyline was actually pretty well developed despite being so short, and I definitely would have watched more of this.

There's definitely moments where it's obvious they care for each other, and they even make light jokes about the mc being the one romantically for ruan lan/ bai lu (I believe that's his crossdressing name but I can't remember completely). There's a bit of skinship and intimacy verbally wise too. It's a nice balance where you can tell they're something.

Where are you reading the book? I really love the world building and stories, I'd love to delve in more

All media in China goes through censorship, some even being pulled after airing and realizing they didn’t do a thorough enough job. It’s a miracle and probably only due to the “brother” aspect that they didn’t dilute it so hard.
