I'm mostly checking Weibo for official news about drama. Some Yaojing are having two-sided talks as Jing is her true love, XY is lucky to have him, but also angry at her, saying XY used Jing, etc. Believe whatever they want, but it still won't change any facts.

I've seen their discussion. Seems hellbent on promoting whole story opposite of TH's original intention as its title 'ZhangXiangSi' signifies. They say, why Jing should leave his family for her. They clearly didn't even care about XY. Their words can't be taken seriously. I feel bad for viewers who hadn't seen drama or read novel, being mislead to think that story is about jing.

Are you sure, you want to ask them, who said TongHua doesn't understand her own novel & characters. They madly insisting, Jing is her true love. If that so? then why XY delayed marry him for 43yrs.? As TH stated, XY choice has been due to her psychological traumas & fear. That's how she endup with him. There's nothing romantic about it. Her hesitation indicates it. Btw, sadly, there's won't be another XL coming to save them for 3rd time.

I agree, Jing bounding XY in some useless promise, a pure vain. He is financially the most wealthy man but due to his own incompetency and insecurities loose all his wealth and worth in her eyes. Her hesitation to marry him for 40+ yrs. shows it. She is sadly saddled to support, his useless self, who remain disappointing.

Some people who are confused with drama part 1 & 2. LYF was filmed altogether, but cause of recent Cdramas rule, it has to be air as two seasons.
Cdrama, air schedule rule are as follows-
1. Dramas can have 40 episodes only,
2. Dramas having more than 40 episodes will be divided into seasons,
3. Dramas with more seasons will be air with 12 months gap.

If possible, please, tune into it taking its 'Title' and 'Tags' seriously.

Cause he isn't selfish and opportunist like others. Even being soulmates, XY & XL belongs to different sides. XL is a responsible, strong & selfless character, being duty bounded, still fulfilled XY important wish to be not alone. Even left behind soldier named 'Left Ear' for her safety in end. XL is happy in XY happiness, even he isn't there.

When CX killed Jing, XiangLiu saved him by merpeople help and saved XY by sacrificing his another life. That's why trailer shows XiangLiu fighting with 6 heads instead of 9, as he already spent 3 lives on her. Sadly, XiaoYao will never know how much XiangLiu did for them.

To be fair, yes, Season 1 infact indeed is less depressing and more acceptable than season 2 ending.
