Wow it's my first Linghe series. I used to tiptoe around his dramas bec I dunno I kinda don't like him for HuaCheng for the tgcf adaptation bec I got a glimpsed of his fluff dramas, lol but damn, I was so wrong so so wrong. His darkness here is so good. The microexpressions when he is angry, aggrieved, jelous, and even the killing intent was so so identifiable. Now, I can't get enough.

Can someone recommend to me something like this? Where the fl is cunning and a little crazy that she has to wait for things to unfold so she can get back to the ones who hurt her. She doesn't prevent things to happen but she waits for things to ripen up so she can serve her revenge colder.

Not for the "woke" people of the new generation. C'mon guys. This drama is based on Itazura Na Kiss manga that has been serialized 1990, so viewing this in such a very woke and restrictive lens is not very fair. I mean, yes, it does not excuse the fact that the characters have such a shallow depth, but for guilty pleasure's sake, give this a try. You have to really also understand that this is adapted in 2010. You guys are 11 years in its future. And as a very old drama fan, I find it sad that classic materials are being judged this way haha. These are the reasons why there aren't very free dramas recently. Because everyone, even the self-aware recent adaptation of the Meteor Garden were trying to water down the red flags. Most producers are now removing all the fun for fear of being judged by the woke society. No fun at all haha.

I just finished General's Lady and just started this and I would say not really. This got a more serious tone and more infighting as the Marquis already had a first wife who died by the earlier chapters-- this was FL's sister. She was whisked inside the Marquis household to protect the first wife position, and her sister's son. Before marrying in the household, the Marquis already has 2 concubines + the 2nd FL. So it's more infighting and harem
