Throughout the drama, whenever I saw the arguments between Zhong Xueman and Zhuge Kongyun, I kept feeling like…
Fun fact! Deng Kai's character at some point liked Julia Xiang's character in Love of the Divine Tree (that faded away eventually bc he finally found his own partner)~ Anyways, I loved their fun chemistry together π
I'm gonna drop this one at ep25, because I can't take it seriously, the drama is a joke and such a waste of time.…
Lol I decided to drop / put on-hold after ep 22 bc I was really not feeling the drama... I am mostly a completioner so I was thinking about getting back into it but watch it slowly (like one ep a day)... but idk anymore if nothing is progressing in the drama lmao π π
Oh dang, but I can understand that~ Tbh, I ended up dropping it even after being more than halfway thru the drama…
Right? When I first saw him I was shocked lol... I'm like, I know it's him, but he really gives off a different vibe that it sometimes feels like I am watching a different actor LOL I mean kinda true bc that ain't his real body (even his face feels off) ππ
Oh dang, but I can understand that~ Tbh, I ended up dropping it even after being more than halfway thru the drama…
I can see why you say that. Maybe if I watch her in other dramas I might like her even more in the less comedic roles. Btw you got any drama recs of hers? This is the only one I've watched her in so far. I do look forward to a lot of her future dramas tho which seem to be less comedic!
Maybe itβs the script, maybe thereβs too much going on to fit everything well into 36 eps, but the showβs…
I felt the same maybe it's bc of how choppy and messy it is and how the story is being told / displayed? I ended up dropping it but might pick it up again if I feel like it.

Oh, right! Ironically talking about this, Li Qing is in both dramas if you didn't know! He plays one of the ML's friends (and subordinate, whatever you call it), and he's really great here! I like him in LOTFG but I would say he feels much more natural here (prob due to no AI swap) which you seemed to not have seen any of yet, right? Lol not sure if you'd be curious at all but here's a small clip he's in for instance! It's actually funny bc Riley Wang feels very similar to himself in BFTB but at least he doesn't become an annoying SML in the end and stays consistent lol.

Oooh so you didn't enjoy the first ep bc it's too humorous for you? Honestly, I get it. I don't like the humor in American shows for instance. It's never my style. So if the comedy in the first ep is not for you, it's understandable. Maybe if it was to more of your style it would be more enjoyable for you. It either works or doesn't for people. I do like how they weave in more seriousness throughout the drama tho.
Lol the fact that Liang Yongqi and Wu Jinyan have been in multiple dramas together but he never ends up being the end game (the worst husband in The Double fr) π
For future viewers, please ignore the rating and give the drama a try. If you liked a dream within a dream or…
I loved ADWAD but had mixed feelings for LBFAD lol... But as an ADWAD lover, what aspects of this do you think will make me like this drama? I think I will try it eventually but I'll be catching up on other dramas first and watch this sometime after it airs.
Wow I bet I am gonna love it then. Shocking to think it's gonna have a third season too wow... I def gotta watch this! Would it be best to wait for the third season do you think? And when might it come? I might not wait for it tho depending on my mood LOL
Yeah, what he did really was very ruthless. To think he did it to the innocent, even to HIS own ppl, really makes some of the things he did less understandable. I may agree with some of his feelings bc how he grew up and such, but I think the better root to go if he wanted revenge was kill the ones who actually caused the Haiya massacre. I liked LOZH for this. Yes, killing is bad lol but this is an investigation drama so ofc we'd have such ruthless cases which I guess in a way makes the drama interesting.
Btw, I still don't know why Beikun and Beiming were separated. If they weren't, he is likely to not have turned out like this sadly. But to think that his father basically started it all which makes it even more heartbreaking? Do you rmr if they showed Tongshuang's reaction or thoughts of his father at all about this?
Yeah, the fact that he was revealed as Yesha really did break my heart even tho he was one of the ones I was suspecting but didn't want it to be true bc then that would feel like a huge betrayal that the friends will have to live with and I can't imagine that... If one of my close friends ended up being like that. So it's very heartbreaking. I agree that it's like Tongshuang died in the cave. And I am very happy that our gang gets a HE. At least Tongshuang knew he deserved punishment... If he could turn back time, I think he would choose to not do it anymore, bc in the last ep, he mentioned how he felt like it was too late... Foolish of him for the things he did but I get his sentiments. It was nice how they wrapped up his character in his talk with Beiming.
True. I agree. I need more detective dramas that are written so well like this one which had me glue to the screen! I really love those types of dramas! I do see WXY has some upcoming investigation dramas so I will look forward to them!
"Actually, when Bei Kun was with BoBo team, he had already forgotten about his past self and truly saw himself as Tong Shuang. He really enjoyed those warm and loving moments. Itβs just that since he never felt love growing up, he ended up becoming this way. Deep down, he really, really wanted to stay with everyone a little longer."
This one really made me emotional. I actually wished in the last ep we could've maybe seen the group see / look at him him b4 his death... It was very heartbreaking when Beiming decided to not look back either but I get it ππ

Ooh nice thoughts. This is how I felt with ADWAD, in that it was hilarious and was like the true parody of Cdramas, which was pretty thrilling and made it fun and unique as a Cdrama watcher. Not a drama to be taken too seriously either. Can't forget to mention the amount of AJTL references which was crazy... (I heard it's a revenge of that drama even lmao).
Okay, sorry, I brought up a completely different drama randomly here just to share my sentiments with your description of this!
It's interesting how each person has their own unique opinions and intake in dramas. Some don't have to be taken too seriously and such, while others may matter, with different perspectives by different people.
It's seriously gonna hit different if Tong Shuang isn't there anymore and I will miss him loads despite him being the culprit... π π At least I find that he is a very well written villain and I am able to sympathize him but would never agree to the things he did
Here's my reaction π€£ (I can't imagine Li Qing's reaction tho either OOF)
