I actually dropped this last year after 20 eps bc I wasn't feeling it. Started again and finished it today and it was quite a ride.
Try it for yourself. You never know your opinion until you watch it :) But ofc it's understandable to be hesitant bc it's so long.
I did find many characters interesting, even the ones that turn dark like SML and SFL. Ofc their actions can be a stress or annoying tho. But I think they quite were well-written.
By the end I didn't root the FL to be with anyone but to stand on her own. Romance felt forced in the end too lol but TLOSL fans might just ignore that anyway.
So yeah, in conclusion, not everyone will share the same opinion. For instance, I may understand one's criticism in their review but actually still enjoy the drama despite that criticism, or even disagree with it to an extent bc of how differently I view that certain thing they're criticizing for.

I'm so bummed! They gave everything for VoS, only some for FoF (still me grieivng over this fact that it's SOME)... and WoF has so many beautiful and epic ones! They should've released them ðŸ˜

I can't... the fact that I knew about this and had it in my watchlist long ago and only watched it recently... Even after watching nearly 200 dramas, this one is truly up there in my favorites. The writing is insanely good. Like time travel can be confusing but this one does it so well that it makes sense and blows your mind. I love time travel but this one takes the cake it terms of storytelling and writing. Not to mention the bond between our cp and trio is really beautiful. Ughh I am missing this again now 🥲
I'm trying to organise my thoughts about the ending and this is the only part which doesn't add up for me.
Another thing that doesn't make sense to me is how Li Jie exists bc he was a part - obsession - of the original Yuan Wuhuo, who came into being bc of Ji Ling / Xizai, who seem to not even exist in the world he lives in.

I had suspected it might be like that after kind of spoiling myself some key things of the ending. And tbh, there's a drama that aired last year that I ABSOLUTELY loved (prob my fave even) which reminded me of it bc of its ending (which I also have mixed feelings for). I won't say it, but those who watched it may know.
Honestly, I felt happy watching the ending, but then I remembered all the moments they spent tgt throughout all the eps. I can't forget it at all! But them? They forgot it all. Even some of the shared bonds have severed which in some way confuses me. And Wu Shiguang being the only one that rmrs all the hardships and all the memories is actually really sad. If I were him, I'd be heartbroken. I'm surprised to see him happy lol as much as I'm happy idk if it's realistic xD I mean, yeah, Jiu Ying is gone and all, but everything they went thru is like *poof* except for Wu Shiguang.
1) Is this supposed to be an alternate / parallel universe? 2) What timeline are we in? 3) Why doesn't Li Jie know Ji Ling anymore? Now I don't like this... All the memories and hardships btw them gone... 2) Why and how does Wu Shiguang have the memories? I guess it's because he's the Dragon Deity? 3) Ji Ling is now back to his carefree self. But wait... He's got the face of Yuan Xizai? So wouldn't he have met Yuan Wuhuo? Where did that go? 4) Lu Wuyi still exists and still has the appearance of Di Zhu from the past. I love her, but I thought she had to sadly die in order for Jiu Ying to cease to exist. But how does she still exist? To me, it doesn't make sense, esp when u think about how Jiu Ying created her. 6) Both couples are in different universes now is my guess? But I still don't understand how they could exist into their forms hmm...
While it's happy to some, tbh, I have more mixed feelings and confusion with this ending. I prefer happy endings depending on how they're written. And in this one, well... Yep... Me and my friend were just talking about all the reunions of the FoF cast. At least every single one of them have reunited with another once which is crazy! Now my biggest wish is indeed HMH and YN like omg their chemistry was so good but we didn't get enough of it and need it in another drama now (not GJM tho ofc)! Oh, and considering how close LWM and XZX were BTS, we need one for them too plsssss.
And yesss I rmr the rumored cast for Immortalis and was hoping so much it would be HMH and XZX! Still can't believe it to this day! I'm so excited to see them again. In FoF we didn't get interactions with them much but now we get to see it in their new drama tgt which makes me so happy aahhh!!
