He frickin' amazed me in Pursuit of Jade. The moment he made his first appearance, I was INTRIGUED (even if his character isn't good) bc woah... he's got the acting skills! That smile, that evil smirk and laugh, that madness in his eyes, but also the tears... He did amazing in bringing his character to life like he's the character himself, bringing out every emotion and expression. I really can't wait to see him now in Mo Li and his other future works!

Interesting take by giving us an alternate ending with "What if the Jinzhou massacre didn't happen?"

It makes you question if Qianqian and Qi Min (hated them as a cp in the original story tho) would end up tgt in the end. I can't imagine no more Bao'er tho. It seems Qi Min wouldn't be a terrible person tho. Its cool to see how they all seem to have a pretty good relationship with one another however when they were enemies with Qi Min. But no Yuanqing? I'm really curious what he and his real brother would be like now. I'm sad they missed his character in this final bit, but anyways. Pretty cool alternative. Tho it doesn't change the fact that everything happened. This is more like a parallel universe.

Omg the author (of the novel?) is writing Wan Prng and Li Yunrui's story? I hope we really get a drama for this 😭🙏

I agree with you. The moment we found out he was betrayed by his "brother" and his family was killed, I also couldn't forget the things he did in Lin'an. I had a feeling he'd get his karma. I even spoiled myself of his death b4 the ep even aired so I knew what to expect and didn't really mind the death. But watching it I couldn't help but have some emotions for him lol. Y'all may call me crazy, but if if's someone like Qi Min, I wouldn't have an ounce of that bc of how he's written. So yeah, it was me kind of feeling bad that he was betrayed by his so-called brother instead. That was the sad part for me. It really makes me wonder what it would've been like if his real brother was still alive. Anyways, next thing that happened had me stunned that he did that to himself, which in the end made me kind of happy to see as he seems to jave realized he deserved it after the wrong things he's done. And honestly? The actor nailed his role. Another reason that's got me intrigued with him.

Yes it seems so. Like it makes me now wonder what if his real brother was alive and the fake one was never involced in his life? Could things have been different? How you grow up can also affect how you become in the future too.

Btw, is it just me who felt really sad for Yuanqing (despite his past evil doings) b4 his death? Like not only was he stabbed (and betrayed) by his "brother" who he couldn't even kill himself, but he even decapitated himself (to punish himself for his wrongdoings?). I was shocked omg... He may be bad but he's better than Qi Min who has zero feelings and absolutely no heart (heart died long ago like he said) whatsoever. Poor guy. I wished he killed Qi Min right there. I can't wait for his death in the future.

I really want to praise Lin Muran bc even when he's playing an evil character, he got me invested! His acting is amazing! I can't wait to see him in his next dramas lining up: Mo Li, Wan Gu Zui Qiang Zong, and his currently filming Beautiful Fairytale where he plays the ML aahhh!! Can't believe we'll be getting him as a ML in a costume drama alr yesssss!!

Ofc! Whispers of Fate is great as well if you love deep storytelling. I'd say it's mostly consistent imo. To me it's a very underrated drama. It's pretty sngsty but has light moments as well. Have you also tried The Untamed? It's widely loved, and you might be one who will end up loving it too. I also loved The Spirealm. It was NEARLY perfect imo except for this one thing (won't spoil ofc).

I do have to admit there are quite some flaws in Fangs of Fortune but the raw emotions and the mystical vibe and storytelling made me fall in love with the drama. The relationship btw the MLs is the most beautiful thing ever in it.

Yessss! Tbh I watched The Vendetta of An on Netflix but I found a scene with the lyrics and it makes the scene even more emotional (won't spoil which scene ofc)! Still loved that drama nonetheless!

Yessss omg I still frequently listen to the OSTs and it just brings me back to when I watched it (legit purposely took around a month to finish the entire thing including the movie) bc I didn't wanna let go of it sksksksks and actually I had it on my watchlist for years and only watched it this year which I regret sm lol!

Yeah def gonna be watching express as well! I only honestly get iQIYI for a subscription bc of the 4K quality and watch other dramas not on there elsewhere.

Tbh I don't watch on the iQIYI app actually, just like to go back to film some scenes I like and came across this one haha~ But yk it's iQIYI so they'll prob always put subs for lyrics so yeah. Better than b4 so I don't mind.

Tbh I feel you 😭😭 It's rare for me to rate dramas a 9.0+ these days, which are ratings I consider dramas I really really love. If it gets disappointing rating can drop down depending on how I feel about it, despite me still loving the drama.

Some dramas that I felt continued to get better and better include The Blossoming Love and Fangs of Fortune. The best written drama for me overall I think is Someday or One Day, and for me it's rarer to rate a modern drama as high as 10, with this actually being the only one.

I don't really drop dramas tho. I end up enjoying my dramas for the most part but some parts can feel a bit messy or confusing.

Lol I wouldn't cheer for the subtitles to cover their faces and half the screen sksksksks at the very top of the screen during the dialogues is what I meant, like this:

I started this and it's pretty fun! Liking the dynamic of some of the characters!

Oooh did you try A Dream within a Dream? I know it's not everyone's type, but if you love comedy, depending on the kind you like, you may laugh out loud a lot throughout the drama. Personally for me, it's prob the funniest drama I've watched. Anyways, the GSY actor is in it and he's such a fun character! I've watched him in 3 dramas so far and his character there is my absolute favorite!
