Wow I just found out Song Yan was played by He Changxi... I watched him in the Painted Skin and Wuliang short movies and I loved him there. It's a bummer we don't get to see his actual face in the drama bc of AI swap. ㅠㅠ But wait... did they really use Zhu Zanjin's face (I did think at first he looked similar to him but not entirely) or did they just make up a new face for him?
Not gonna have high expectations but I'm really excited for this one! I must watch it as it airs, not to mention it's the winter season, the perfect time to watch this hehe
So is it just me... I'm kinda thrown off by the romance. Realistically, the ML should love Ruoxi (3 years ago version) as well. But he says "Wu Fei" is the only one in his heart. Why the heck was there kind of a love triangle btw the two versions of Ruoxi? It was really annoying. Yes, the love triangle is complicated, but it would make more sense if the ML had feelings for both but then questions himself why he does. "Is it bc they look the same? Or they feel kind of different but the same person at the same time?" Bc in the end, they are the same person, only from different timelines.
Even after "Fu Wei" revealed to him about how she went back three years ago, basically saying Ruoxi in that time is still her, he still insists on being with "Fu Wei". Is it bc of the dreams he had so he's also in the future but with blurry memories? Even then, Ruoxi is still Ruoxi. Love in this situation is very complicated. This makes me feel like the ML doesn't truly love her bc he doesn't love Ruoxi (3 years ago). Wouldn't he question, "Then the person I love is also Ruoxi?" Lol it's so annoying 😭 I kinda wished the FL would've just told him they're the same person so how can he only have feelings for one person when in the past he had feelings for Ruoxi in the past? Anyways, it's more realistic that way. And yes, ik the three years ago Ruoxi doesn't really deserve him, but I don't like how unrealistic the love btw the present Ruoxi and him is, esp when he didn't know the Ruoxi three years ago is still her, bc they only just met (at least for him) when he and Ruoxi knew each other for years, who he actually does fall for even with that negative attitude lol. But ig the dreams led to him falling for her. Then what happens to the Ruoxi in this timeline? Doesn't add up tbh.
Sorry for the rant. Except for the romance that throws me off and the FL not being able to predict her past self previously, I still enjoyed this drama. I think after watching SOOD, I just can't help be annoyed by the way they did some of the things here that feel pretty illogical, inconsistent, or unrealistic. It's only been three years, and yes, the FL has changed a lot, but the fact that the ML claims he never had feelings for Ruoxi feels off (sorry as I'm prob repeating myself lol).
Started this and omg I'm loving it! Went into this after being indecisive what to watch. Previously, I was looking for dramas that have smth like future self meets past self, but it was hard, so I just looked thru my watchlist. I wanted to try this one day so I decided this one on a whim. Ngl, I had no clue this was even one of those dramas, so I guess it was fate!
Wow I can't believe it's coming on Netflix, and not me having both iQIYI and Netflix skdjskdjsks tbh I'll do iQIYI on my phone for the bullet comments and Netflix on my laptop for the 4K HD quality LOL
Not the FL's brother in SaB also being the SML here too akdjsjdks I'm gonna look forward to their reunion here (with prob hopefully better relationship)!
I know many ppl had problems with the editing and flow on the first day, but personally, for some reason, I was really hooked ever since ep 1 that I didn't think much about that. And wow, the flow transformation becoming so much better after that? I have yet to watch the eps but it seems I'm just gonna love it even more now!!
Finally starting this! Watched Zhou Yiran in WIFTY and Bao Shangen in WoF and they both did amazing in both! So nice to see these two now in a drama!! Oh, not to mention Bian Tianyang who played the best friend of Zhou Yiran in WIFTY hehe excited to see this duo again!

Tbh the comedy really isn't for me either. So I had to put it on-hold for now. Hearing how it continues to get more serious makes me happy. But I just can't with the comedy. It feels too forced / like they're trying too hard. So I'm taking a break and will watch this another time. It seems it does get serious as the eps go by which I'm glad about. But I don't think I'm fully immersed or in the mood to continue rn.

Yep Liu Yuning is the king of drama OSTs! L&R was my xianxia, when I dtarted getting into xianxias, and I loooved his voice. When I watched more dramas, I kept seeing him in every drama's OST I was watching and he became my favorite C-drama OST singer. And then when I found out he acts in dramas, I just HAD to try out some of his dramas, and AJTL was the first, and finally seeing him on the screen was such an incredible feeling bc I knew him as an OST singer first! He never fails to sing so well in his OSTs!
