Agree that his chemistry with her is incredible! I was honestly nervous bc I didn't know what to expect, but they truly have been delivering! I'd also like to add that TJR has insane chemistry with HMH! Not an actress but I just wanted to say it could work with an actor too! xD (I hope this doesn't get anyone mad either for me mentioning this)

Illusion arc (up to ep.11, so don't read if you don't want spoilers)!

Ji Ling / Chi Wen and Wuyi are so cute 😭 Maybe this is my fave styling for our Ruirui too! Now, Wuyi as Di Zhu. I feel like she is connected to her in some way. It is hinted back at when Shiguang told the story of her and Man Man to Wangyan, and Wangyan said that the dancing figure carving reminded her of Wuyi. Not only that, but she was able to use her powers upon entering the illusion unlike the rest. So there seems to be smth special about her here?

I am really happy to finally see the two Yanan characters meet! We've been theorizing if they are twins since filming days, and hmm... So we see that Yuan Wuhuo has a brother as well, and bc Li Jie lost his memories but rmrs he has a brother, there's a chance they are brothers but he doesn't know, so yeah 🫣 But let's see. I am excited to see how this unfolds... Can't wait to see them meet in the original tl too.

I can't believe Shiguang actually goes back to the time he was still a baby, like wow that shocked me. And he and Wangyan raising him tgt? This is on another level, I swear! 😆🫣 I have never seen a character raise the younger version of themselves skdjsjdsks and I found out they spent many many years tgt?? Oh, they are a true cp now! I can't wait to see them from now on as an actual cp aahhh!! And to think they'll go back to their original tl and become young again skdjskdks I love how they get to experience growing old tgt tho 🥹

I think all 5 entering the illusion makes me think that each character in some way had a connection to the past rather than randomly being transported into different spaces (or whatever you call it). Wuyi can use her own powers and is similar to Di Zhu in the way that she's a dancer (there could be more to it). There is also Shiguang with how he plays a role into his actual family in the past, taking care of his young self. And then there is Li Jie who we were told he has a brother (but most prob doesn't rmr what he looks like and such), and then we find out Yuan Wuhuo has a brother himself. So maybe, Li Jie is playing his past self that he can't rmr. Anyways, I look forward to seeing how this unfolds! (Maybe I better not get my expectations up high for this tho)

Omg can they also use a poster that includes Yanan? I've been sad since day one bc he's always been a main role, not a support... They only put the couples in the poster which kinda makes me sad lol.

Lol I commented about being hooked but then it wasn't as interesting as I continued to watch thru the entire thing. Still quite enjoyable but not as good imo compared to the praises and high ratings.

I'm not annoyed by Li Jie tbh. I actually felt bad for him for being there sksksks but that prob does include in the reasons why I'm not as into the ship. But I think it's mainly the deception of Lu Wuyi and the childlikeness and innocence of Ji Ling (which I'm not entirely a fond of - this kind of bond) that affects my liking of their relationship. I look forward to Long Shen tho lol. Poor boy (Ji Ling). And we'll surely see more of Li Jie in action! I can't wait!

True. It seems we'll get more of them later on for us to like them as a pairing more which makes me happy! And it seems there is more to their relationship than what we see so far.

Lol I think CDL and JZ will stay to be my fave ship in the drama too. I honestly felt this since the reuters so sksksksks. But I'm happy to know TJR and JJY's ship will get better! Looking forward to it!

I wasn't into the cp in FoF~ I really loved their banter b4 they became one. Yuanzhou and Yichen tho were on another level of chemistry. It's hard to not ship. The banter btw the characters in that drama was everything. The friendship was just so good.

But I think we're sure to get both cps in this drama. But I don't think romance will be the main focus. It would be interesting tho to get individual stories of the characters (expanding to the support roles)! I'd srsly love that!

Dang poor Ji Ling tho! So yesss let's just keep Ji Ling, and also let Li Jie have him 😆

That's so sad. I bet it's true actually. Makes sense. Think they may have revealed it alr in later eps. Poor boy. I hope Long Shen maybe gains the memories / feelings Ji Ling has so he's like him too (kind of like how they did it in The Blossoming Love with Wang Duo's character, tho in there he wasn't a puppet). Or else they might go the route in Sword and Fairy 4 with Wang Duo's character as well (oh, I hope not!)

I'm not exactly into the Tian Jiarui and Ju Jingyi ship yet (smth I expected since the reuters too) maybe bc Ji Ling is a bit childish and innocent, and Lu Wuyi is very deceptive, being given the task to get close to him (poor guy). And maybe bc it feels like immature / puppy love for now. (But yeah, this will prob hopefully change in future eps!)

I am much more into the Joseph Zeng and Chen Duling ship. Like I am alr shipping them so hard since ep 1 sksksksks they have such insane chemistry, and I frickin love how Wu Wangyan just goes out of her way to flirt with him SKSKSKS girl is so bold (tho deceptive, there's smth about her)~ His reactions every time is everything LOL

I rmr watching this a few years back and it became one of my fave modern C-dramas! Now it's been announced that the leads will reunite in a costume drama "Taming the Husband", tho sadly He Luoluo is the SML, but it's really exciting news! Dai Luwa will be FL alongside Lai Weiming which really excites me! 🥹

So now after ep 1 I am wondering about Tian Jiarui's characters' identities. Are Ji Ling and Long Shen the same person? But they don't look like it esp when u see how Ji Ling interacts with Li Jie in comparison to Long Shen who is like a leader of Li Jie's. Dang, I am curious what lies btw these two vastly different characters who may or may not be the same person... And what's his true personality if he's just one? Hmm... Let's see how this goes. Anyways, I am loving the dynamic btw Ji Ling and Li Jie a lot!
