I canNOT with the amount of MM cast reunion in this! Like dang, main ones would be Yan Chi (Fan Yue) and Bai Feng (Mu Jiu) who became master and subordinate here, then there is Qin Shuang (Ling Long) who has not much of a relationship with either of them, but in MM she plays the mother of Mu Jiu (Bai Feng)... so I'm still dying to see an interaction btw them skjdskdjsks
And then there are small roles like Yuan Rui (Qi Feng) who is brothers with Fan Yue, and Yuan Wu (Tian Huo) who is Fan Yue's subordinate... Sorry, I couldn't exactly take these two seriously, esp Yuan Wu bc no way she would have feelings for her master 😅😂😭
There's even more of the MM cast but these are the ones which I found the most interesting with their relationship connection in both dramas LOL
Haha I can't believe I'm watching a lot of the Immortality cast in different dramas in a row. Song Jiyang (ofc ik him from TU tho hehe) and Li Qing in ADWAD, and now Yu Chengen in Coroner's Diary. This is a lot of fun. Now I'll be recognizing more of the support roles which makes me even more excited for this!
Man y'all I was waiting for Prince Yan Li to appear ever since the first episode... AND FINALLY I WATCHED IT HAPPEN! No bc why did it take so long for a main role to appear omg that felt like forever?? 😭 Ughh anyways I am loving him a lot and his brotherhood with Yan Chi! These two are so cute and funny together! He's on the way to becoming my favorite character in the drama already 😂
Gosh, I live for the fact that there is so many of the cast in Coroner's Diary! LIKE SO MANY, EVEN SMALLER ROLES! The best part of it? We got Fan Yue and Mu Jiu as master and subordinate and I am LIVING FOR IT! Their interactions are everything!! Now I need to see Mu Jiu and his mother Ling Long to reunite! They already have appeared on the same screen but I haven't seen them interact... It would be super interesting to see aahhh!! If y'all miss MM, I guess Coroner's Diary will be such a fun watch as it features a lot of the MM cast in this! It's really fun connecting the dots whenever they appear!

Idk if it's just me, but ever since I watched the trailer when it released last year, I actually thought Liu Yuning would be playing two different characters. One good, one bad / evil. So I'd be wondering who the FL would truly end up with hahahaha... Anyways, I think that would have been super cool to see so we could see a wider range in his acting playing two completely different characters who look exactly alike. I lowkey would've preferred that more, which I believe will be true for Fushanhai, Chengyi's new drama, right? So yeah, I kinda got disappointed when I found it out if I am being honest. But I really came to like how the drama took this and executed it. We could see that Li Shiliu was more of his real self than him as Nan Heng. As Nan Heng, he seems to mask himself more (despite the fact that he legit wears a mask as Li Shiliu lol) bc of his identity as the 7th Prince. Anyways, I love both. I missed it so much when Nan Heng stopped wearing the Li Shiliu costume though bc dang, he just looked super good in that. Let's be honest... that look of his was superior XD
I just gotta say it... the finale is seriously one of the best and most epic finales of a drama I have ever seen! I mean, dang... The way they did those last 4 eps was no joke! It was crazy good and I loved all the plot twists and stuff! You know what... If the FL didn't die? I also completely forgot myself that she could just die to start over LOL... But anyways, if she didn't? Oh boy... We would have lost so many of our beloved characters! Jixiang, Shangguan He, and Nan Heng... THAT WOULD BE TRAGIC! And I can't imagine how heartbroken Shanhu and Yunlong would be for their masters which we didn't actually get to see (which actually I would've loved to see ngl LOL)... I'd be bawling my eyes out just seeing them cry over them omg... so I have to say... I am sooo frickin happy about this finale and how they executed it! IT WAS PERFECT!!
Also, I will believe Nan Heng is Nan Feng just bc of that lightning that appeared right after Song Yimeng said she swore if she likes Nan Heng, she would be struck by lightning xD
Also, I am still shocked with how the title is literally the drama... Like even Yimeng is in a script herself dang! But ig that makes the ending even happier to us bc they're in their own little world and can always see each other (like we see Nan Heng entering the portal). I would like to believe the other characters can also visit the modern world haha.
Anyways, this drama was just so good as a whole. I loved seeing the character development of some characters and overall how the drama ended. It was such a funny drama but can get serious too and I love the balance in between them. The way they told the story I felt was really unique, especially with this kind of concept. Like I love dramas where a character time travels to somewhere else, like a script, novel, game, etc. But the way they executed it here was like no other. I loved how they explored the world of the script we were in and how the FL never forgets she is in a script herself, always talking about it without the characters having a clue what she's talking about (which was always so funny haha). It was also pretty cool how a lot of the characters got to know they're in a script themselves. I was lowkey hoping for Yunlong and Shanhu to see what their reactions would be but it's okay xD
And idk about you, but I see many comments being annoyed at the FL. For me, I was enjoying this drama throughout, just watching all the chaos in enjoyment. I didn't even think about how annoying the FL was lol... But honestly, she is different compared to the others bc remember she is from a different world as them, and I think her reasons are understandable. But also take this: If you say she doesn't deserve the ML... Well, think about Nan Heng and Song Yimeng in the original script. Nan Heng is the one that doesn't deserve her lmao. So imagine the switch... NO, BUT WAIT... IMAGINE ANOTHER ADWAD DRAMA BUT WITH THE ORIGINAL SCRIPT INSTEAD? WOAH, THAT WOULD BE CRAZY! I WOULD ACTUALLY WATCH IT DANG!!!!!!!!!
Y'all I still can't believe they played two songs from here in ADWAD... they even played some of the bgm like dang... And then Liu Yuning also watching his final battle scene literally... Sun Lang was even there in the beginning at their meeting as the screenwriter lmaooo... And not to mention the gang too... I love Liu Yuning and his sidekicks in his dramas seriously 😭 Interesting fact that one of them name Yunlong actually appeared here on the first episode wearing the Liudao Hall uniform but was killed on the spot by Ruyi 🤣 Anyways, if y'all haven't watched ADWAD? When there is constant misunderstandings, I get super tired, but for some reason, I wasn't that annoyed for many eps, only up to ep 20+ is when I started to get a bit more annoyed, so it didn't really affect my enjoyment of the drama much... and like you said, the comedy did help a lot that I wasn't focused on most of those misunderstandings lol
