By far I think my favorite arc might be Qinglian's. His story made me cry. He didn't deserve to be imprisoned for many years... esp learning it's by his parents, I can't imagine how heartbreaking that is. I was so in awe for what his mother did to protect her child, beginning to think less for the status quo. What she did to him is smth that can't be forgotten, but I'm happy she stepped forward in this. It was so beautiful. The way Zhou Zheng also confessed for his crimes for her was really amazing to see. I am so happy to see Qinglian get justice in the end! It's what he deserved! And wow, at first I thought Qingchuan was his older sister and not cousin, but she really does feel like one to him with how they talk to each other. Loved watching these two. I wished we got more Qinglian screentime lowkey huhu
I am really enjoying this much more than I expected. I watched the FL in FSMRMP and dang she gives off a different vibe and slays so hard here! Watched the ML in The Starry Love and it's refreshing to see him again!
I'm near the end, not quite there yet! But I still can't believe I'm watching The Double's FL's husband who plays the main villain Xiao Jingshan here! This is lit! He's really nailing it!
This is not enough to appease me for what happened in the last 10 minutes of the drama. Like wth were they thinking killing off Duke Su's two subordinates? They could have made it happy just like the novel? I hate the writers for this. It was so random and not needed... So honestly, I personally want to forget that and think of the novel ending as the true ending instead... 🫠
This man always plays the SML (I've watched Love of the Divine Tree, The Double, and now Feud) and it gets a bit tiring... Can't wait to see him in other roles where he doesn't play a character like that, "Gu Le Feng Hua Lu" with Li Yitong the most!
When does this plot point show up? I'm not sure I like the sound of this.
Ahhh no that's actually not the main story. The main story is basically the title. It's like the friend group go on an adventure and try to find the relics of ill omen, come to learn their origin, try to stop whatever bad thing happens, make discoveries on their way, etc. I don't think this will be a main focus. I hope not lol. I also did learn that (most likely if it stays that way) that the real Mu Dai does come back anyways which tbh I think is important. I'm not sure how this will go tho all the way thru since I'm starting this arc only now.
I was actually happy to see that arc early-on because I thought they were foreshadowing the ending with her being…
I heard in the novel that she has three personalities like woah... That would've been interesting to see. If it was a real thing, I think this drama should explore / should've explored what it's like to have different alters and how to learn to accept and live with it, like the actual DID.
Well, I hope that isn't much of a spoiler... I hate spoilers so no more spoilers please 😅😩 For me, while I like seeing Dark Mu Dai, I can't exactly accept her completely taking over her body since it wasn't hers to begin with. I would've liked it more if they learn to accept having alters in their body like irl. But I'd still be fine if Bright Mu Dai came back by herself, tho it would be interesting to see how they deal with kind of co-existing together lol.

About halfway in the drama. And idk, I find it pretty interesting. Hope it stays that way. Not sure where the direction is going for this yet since I'm just starting it.
So I'm just now watching Dark Mu Dai who atm overtook Bright Mu Dai. It seems like Mu Dai has DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder)? Smth like that. I actually didn't know this was a thing though in real life. That's really shocking. It's like at least two people in one body. Anyways, I find this arc pretty interesting and look forward to seeing more of Dark Mu Dai. Surely I'm missing Bright Mu Dai, but this is a uniquely intriguing topic to explore.
No matter how much I try, I cannot just get into this drama! The FL is perfect! It’s the ML who ruins this drama…
I watched it and I felt that there were many draggy parts and often felt bored 😅 Luckily there were still some funny moments so that helped me finish the show, but I also think the drama gets quite better in the second half, but tbh, I didn't find the plot / story compelling enough~ The main issues I had was the leads' chemistry (and like you, the ML was also an issue for me) and the overall plot. I even found Shen Li's parents to be more interesting that I lowkey wanted to see a full drama of their story 😭
And fun fact, Furong had some special feelings for Mofang in the novel (the actors even had an interview together talking about their relationship) but it was erased out of the drama due to censorship which would've been quite interesting to see, even if the screentime may not be a lot.
Gosh, I cried so hard when Bai Jiusi was watching the past of Ruyue and their child! This broke me to pieces!…
Btw, after all that they've gone thru, can we miraculously get a happy ending where they reunite with their child? Both Bai Jiusi and Hua Ruyue? How about Meng Changqin? Haha, the chances tho? Oh, one can only hope / wish 😭🙏
Gosh, I cried so hard when Bai Jiusi was watching the past of Ruyue and their child! This broke me to pieces! Now I understand why Ruyue blames him for their child dying 😥💔 Oh, this is too much for my heart! Not to mention it's Father's day like why do this to us today? The timing 🤧🫠 I'm so happy tho to see Meng Changqin again~ The way he took care of them both was so touching~ Happy Father's day to him indeed bc of how much care he had for the child 🥹
Is she? Bc when I started watching The Seven Relics of Ill Omen, she for some reason always reminded me of Chen Duling bc of how similar they feel in not just their looks but presence as well. Now I'm surprised to learn they share the same last name (even in the Chinese characters).
