Even Tong'er survived... So yeah, I hate how they did the drama like that. I understand Tong'er's death bc Ai Mi had to go to school lol but yeah the final battle just wasn't it so pretend it didn't happen.

Okay I have a question. So I am honestly not complaining at all about Bai Lu's voice in the show bc tbh it really sounds very similar to Bai Lu so it suits her really well. I can't be wrong tho that she is still being dubbed by the same VA, right, since they don't show there's another one? Bc woah that VA is really good then. I'm impressed. Wanna praise her for this! I loved watching Meng Changqin and Lin Fan but I'm so sad we didn't get enough of them... To me it was a bummer that some of the characters we meet don't appear much bc I already get used to them and then they're gone just like that :( I looked forward to seeing the Meng actor and ughh he made me fall in love with Changqin~ He's so cute and handsome! Tbh it felt abrupt when he wasn't shown later on... I already missed him the moment his story ended in the leads' past life in the mortal world 😩 I also actually watched Lin Fan actor in Summer Again recently so when I saw him finally I was so happy! Not to mention it's his real voice so yay! I also just watched the actress of his wife as the poison expert in The Double so when I realized it was her, oh that was a lot of fun!

I just started this and omg I laughed when Cao Yanhua watched Mu Dai do qinggong and went "So Wuxia is real" in shock and awe... 😩🤣😭 No but really that would literally be every one of us if we were in his position 😅😂

I hear really, really good things about this, and it's prob the drama that I see has the least bad reviews (it's rarely)~ instead everyone is praising this one highly, saying it's the best. I don't wanna have high expectations for this so I can enjoy it more. But as a person who gets tired / bored when there is too much politics / court intrigue in a drama, will I still enjoy it? Is there smth different about this one from others that makes it set apart from other ones with this theme? Anyways, I'm def planning to watch this one this year as the 10th anniversary is coming!

Better to watch DY first as it's a prequel and so you might not wanna spoil of what happens to some of the characters thru TBOY~ Also I think you're bound to like TBOY more so it would make it a great follow up to the prequel :)

It might be fast-paced for this kind of plot. I loved it a lot but ofc we might have different tastes. Both leads are strong. I love that they don't have many issues together and resolve them quickly if so, and have great communication. The second lead cp is also really cute. The FL and her family go thru a lot together, so if you like a family drama where they grow as a family thru ups and downs, this will be fun. There is politics in the side too but it isn't the main focus, though it is for the ML. The ML has great fighting skills. He slays every time and fights along others who are great as well. The FL is also one of my favorite FLs because of how strong and kind she is. The way she cares for many ppl here really touches my heart. And it's a really happy ending that lasts for half, or more than half the last episode which makes it worth the watch even more. (Sorry, that was long.)

This isn't a wuxia but a xianxia, and good spoiler for you bc there's actually lots of plot twists in this that you wouldn't expect... There won't be a love triangle for long. The 2FL pretends to show us she likes the ML but actually she is good friends with the FL and seems to have dislike against him, and the 2ML is likely to be out of his feelings for the FL eventually as the relationship chart for this drama labels him and 2FL "lover's fate" so they're gonna likely be a second cp (we have yet to see what they become and where their fate lies tho ofc). Also I get that the first 6 or so eps can be weak and boring for others, but after that, more action and the plot happens and it's very exciting. But anyways, it seems like you have really high standards for dramas, so maybe this isn't for you after all lol.

Y'all I was hoping the second leads would become a cp rather than just liking the leads... That trope of jealous second leads who become annoying later would've be really disappointing me. Then I had a feeling Zhang Suan is gonna meet Fan Ling'er in the recent ep, and when it happened? I thought it was pretty epic. The way Ling'er saw his pendant, which looks exactly just like hers? Omg, I'm already rooting for these two haha I can't wait to see more of them. I really hope they do end up being a couple.

I know it's because of the production crew and whatever, but man do I find it so fun and crazy seeing so many of The Double in this... Like there's so many for the first 8 episodes already... Head count? I think it's actually 8 so far... And there's def more to come! Not to mention I just finished watching The Double when this one aired, so it's still really fresh in my memory! I love this! It's honestly so refreshing seeing the many different actors from both dramas portraying different characters, and the different relationships btw some of them!

Same with Love of the Divine Tree (would consider him the worst there tho lol) 😭 And yes to that! Not exactly liking the 2FL but imagine it's her? I do have hope she grows. Also maybe that's why they're both second leads? Well, we'll see I guess lol won't try to get my hopes high for them to find their own lover tho 🫠

Yes I saw it! I'm really happy about it that we get their HE 🥹 I'm just not happy with how they ended the last ep with the subordinates' deaths which was so unncessary, esp when you think of the novel's ending... I adored those two so much that it made me sad and angry 😭

I'm just gonna pretend the last 10 minutes didn't happen... like what the frick? The vibe of the last ep felt like a happy ending... until they showed the frickin' war and they killed off Wen Ji and Lu Ji, like WHYYYY?? Well, I will pretend that didn't happen bc I learn that they actually survive the war in the end in the novel and get their happy ending, so yeah... I'll think of the ending like that...
