And then there's me who felt like the second half of the drama got even better than the first half, and mind you I already rated it a 10 after the first half, the only drama I rated while watching 😅 So I'm quite surprised you're not liking it as much now~ I wonder how it'll be like till the end for you~ Ofc ppl have their own opinions tho so to each their own 😊 I mean, ngl, I could actually see the flaws more during my rewatch, but I keep my rating bc of my first experience of it which is really unforgettable for me~ As it's also a drama I felt strongly for compared to other dramas~ But anyways, I am curious what are some specific things that made you rate this lower? I rmr there were still some things that got me really annoyed in the second half lol but I still enjoyed the drama throughout~

You're right. I kinda don't like how they did that with Fushanhai / Go to the Mountains and Sea, using BOTH journey and legend likeeee... Should've kept the English translated title lol but anyways yeah Unisaber sounds so much cooler (don't know why they didn't decide to stick with the first name tho).

For real... This and Moonlight Mystique having so many deaths is really too much :( And let's not forget Quzhuo... The fact that he was the only one that lived from the future and has been lonely for almost 20 years, and told the present timeline masked group members about it was so heartbreaking... and the fact that they couldn't change it was too much for me... and even in the present he also lives, but he and Hongye just don't know each other are alive it looks like, which really makes this even sadder :( I guess we see no reunion between those two at all and they live without meeting again, possibly believing the other died, which hurts 😭 And idek how Hongye treats his son and don't wanna know, but just knowing he doesn't treat him that well makes me really sad but ig it's understandable bc of how he's got every person he cherished taken away from him 😢💔 But anyways, I can't wait to see Chengyi as Fugui... they call him the best swordsman in the world? Indeed, that's Chengyi when it comes to watching C-dramas for me! They truly cast the right person! 😍😆

So is it Shadow Unisaber, or Shadow Punisher? I lowkey prefer the former one tbh, it sounds and looks cooler and more unique, but other one is still good.

Man, what was that battle agaianst the Black Fox? I was literally expecting deaths of each pair, one after another, so why did I keep watching? 😭😭 Like omg they literally saw their future? What was even the point of showing it if they weren't gonna be careful? As much as I love and adore the Mask Group, I couldn't believe how reckless they were for wanting to try to kill the Black Fox. Even I didn't believe in them. Their deaths really could've been avoidable, like I hate these forced sad endings 😭😭 If only maybe they showed all of them practicing really hard together for many years and we gradually see them improve and become more powerful to the point of actually knowing 100% they'd make it just like Hongys's father said, in just a span of a few minutes or so, and then finally take the battle when they're actually ready, and succeeding and changing the future... Like imagine we could've gotten a happy ending? Or just at least why feel eager to take the battle when you're already aware of what could happen to everyone in the future??

So now yet again, Li Quzhuo is all alone suffering like his future self who was even told that they'd change... But look, nothing changed but at least Hongye made it! 😭 Anyways, now I wonder if Li Quzhuo survived, why aren't we seeing him in the other FSM series? I'm really curious to see him 🥺😩 I also have to mention he and his brother Li Zizai broke my heart and made me cry the hardest prob bc neither of them were controlled by the Black Fox and they were the only non-couple / siblings which really just hit so hard as you can tell they both were so eager in protecting each other even if it meant sacrificing oneself for the other which was heartwrenchingly beautiful! I wished we got to see more of the Li brothers together! I loved them a lot! 🥺 Surely I loved their part the most! 🥹

Idk, to me, she made me hate her in MJTY lol so I think she did really well there. Right now I'm watching Blossoms in Adversity and she plays a neurodivergent character~ She is so cute there, I really adore her character so much~ Anyways, I'm really impressed with her acting! And ik you said you're not interested in the drama but tbh I'd like to recommend it to you. It's a really great historical drama. But anyways, here's some little video edits of her.

I'm loving it so far, but I know there are ppl out there with mixed feelings about it which I can understand. For me tho, I enjoy it! And it's even more fun with this well-known cast! My biggest gripe is I want to see more development in the leads' relationship. Tho I don't understand why and how they fell in love, I do like how strong they are, so I'll take that. And despite that, I find them cute and really fun when the other characters obviously ship the two haha~ Anyways, you're likely to prefer the second cp more, and bc they are main leads as well, they also get lots of screentime! Do you like Meng Ziyi and Ding Yuxi? A lot of ppl look forward to them as a cp, and me as well :D And I see you liked The First Frost. You'll see Zhai Xiaowen and Zhang Ruonan's reunion where this time they are related which is really cool.

I watched 8 eps already and it's great so far! Both the main leads are strong which I love seeing. And it's not boring either at least for me. Pacing is really great. There's also Lu Yuxiao who plays a complex character who has autism which I think she's doing well in so far. She really impresses me the most right now. I find her really cute. I think you should try! Good luck!

Idk if you'd like MJTY, but try that one day, and you will be impressed by Lu Yuxiao just by these two dramas alone!

Haven't watched today's episode yet but caught up to yesterday's! Now I wanna talk about the leech demon... I feel really sad for Blue Eyes. Isn't she the real owner of the body? I remember when she and Mu Mie met and I found them so cute. I was already shipping these two from the start! I didn't expect the twist that he actually liked Red Eyes. It definitely shocked me bc since he met Blue Eyes first, I thought it was her instead. I really found it cute how there were two souls in one body and how it looked like Red Eyes was trying to encourage Blue Eyes to make a move on Mu Mie. So it took me out when Red Eyes actually had feelings for him as well that she even went as far as to get rid of her. Bc of this, she made me gain mixed feelings for her. I feel sad for Blue Eyes a lot. I think I ship her more with Mu Mie. :( To me, Mu Mie and Red Eyes feelings for each other kinda feel forced. I couldn't see any emotions from either of them for liking each other... Anyways, I don't have hope for a happy ending with this Cuiyu and Mu Mie cp esp for the fact that it's two souls owning the body. I think what would be cool is if they have their personalities / souls merge as one like how they do that in other dramas.

I'm only on ep 16 so I don't want spoilers~
If I'm being honest, I am more invested in Mu Mie and Cuiyu 😆 I will miss them when we go back to the past 🥺 I'm also really invested in our second cp Yitan and Zui! They are so cute! I love how healthy and natural they are as a pair, seriously! It's so precious! 🥹 Also, rmr that Zhai Xiaowen plays Xie Lian in TGCF... so watching him in his first xianxia (finally) makes me so happy! 🥰😍 Anyways, I'm really looking forward to the development of the leads' relationship! I hope we get to see more of it in upcoming episodes~ I also hope they'll be able to prevent what happens in the future now that they know their fates... Seeing Li Quzhuo all alone in the future and meeting the other three in the masked group from the present timeline made me tear up... like that is really heartbreaking! 😭

People really complain about Leon Zhang's looks? I've always found him handsome since watching him in Ancient Love Poetry. For me, he's got a unique look, actually. He has an innocent yet manly look, if that makes any sense at all. He's a combination of both, which I find pretty cool and beautiful! It's honestly really nice and refreshing watching him again since it's really been awhile!

Me currently reading TGCF makes me eager to watch this even more... I'm so slow tho lol... I'm only on the first volume and started reading early last month skfjdskfsjs
Anyways I'm watching Zhai Xiaowen for the first time in Love in Pavilion rn! His character is so much fun there. If y'all haven't already, maybe try it out! He plays the second ML (don't worry, there's no love triangle)! And it looks like it's his first xianxia!
When I read TGCF, I like to try imagining what we could've gotten with Zhai Xiaowen as Xie Lian. He really would do amazing... And we're so robbed of it :( But let's continue to have eternal faith that this will come out someday!

Lol who else now wants to see Dai Luwa and Zhang Linghe as leads in another drama? Oh, but really... This one brings me nostalgia. I rmr loving it so much. Fun fact that I watched this on the first day of the New Year of 2023 so I was shocked when the beginning of this drama was also the start of a New Year. It was such a fun coincidence!

I'm not usually into only historical dramas, but Imma try this after reading the comments. I have been excited to watch Zhang Jingyi in a drama and also watch Lu Yuxiao here bc I like her as an actress. I'm excited to see the FLs the most but also the MLs as well! I think watching the trailer too has made me more intrigued in this (and I hope it ends up telling me right)!
