Haha yes, she endured a lot to do that. I really have to applaud her for it. And I'd say the same for Yichen~ After all, he didn't want to kill Yuanzhou anymore but fate was so cruel to them that he had to, and so he couldn't live to do it without extracting his soul and even went to search thru every mountain and sea to try finding him hehe~

Lol I remember that and it made me so sad! Tho I can understand some of their feelings, especially Wen Xiao and Yichen. But still, it made me feel so sad for Yuanzhou.

Let's take Wen Xiao. Her master was killed by him even tho he didn't mean it. So to me, it was surprising how quickly she forgave him after she learnt the truth (but I think depending on the scenario it kind of makes sense ig?). But it's understandable how she feels. After all, Zhao Wan'er was her master whom she loved dearly.

And it's also really understandable for Yichen bc his father and brother were killed, which he's been enduring for 8 years. I can't even imagine if I were in his shoes. I also would be having conflicting emotions. His feelings are very real and realistic. Yet, despite that, he was the only one that went up to him after the blood moon situation.
His situation is the hardest but he was still filled with kindness by doing that, which I find so touching and sad (dang, when I see that scene again, it makes me emotional 😭). And I like to think of Yichen throwing his cloak to him as a hug gesture. You can tell thru this that he still cared about Yuanzhou. This was the moment he also started to truly feel for him. I love this scene a lot 🥺

But ughhh why we didn't get any Yuanzhou and Yichen hugs at all? After all they went thru, they needed a hug with each other (and I'm 100% sure we would've seen it if we could) 😭 Like tbh, it feels weird to not get any hugs between them (so I blame censorship 😒)... At least we got lots of hugs BTS ig tho LOL 😂

Edit: I also want to add Ying Lei. His grandfather literally passed away that same day. He was really strong for someone who experienced such a heartbreaking moment. I totally understand him. In the end, he's a character that stood out to me because of how loving and caring he is towards his friends. I'm not sure why they left him out sometimes, I blame the director / screenwriters. Yet he was always there, helping them through troubles.

And ofc, Yuanzhou. I feel so sorry for him for everything that happened because of him, but it's not his fault because rather, it's the malicious energy's fault, which Yichen came to understand later on, which I find really touching. Being in their shoes, I think in reality it would be difficult. They are very strong. And it's touching to see how they've come to understand him and stay by his side. He isn't alone anymore because now he's got friends who got his back, like Yuanzhou and Wen Xiao said about Yichen as well.

Yk, the fact that Yuanzhou was starting to be filled with demonic energy shows how much he really wanted to protect and defend Yichen. He truly loves and cares about him a lot. But yeah, Yuanzhou leaving him after made me sad when he was in that kind of situation. The thing is, we wouldn't get that iconic scene between Yichen and Li Lun which I live for actually skfjdskfs

Also, honestly the censorship just makes this drama harder to understand at times if I have tbh lol like there are definitely some plot devices... For example, let's think about that final battle where Wen Xiao had to deal with her father (for how long?) and Yuanzhou and Yichen were fighting against Wen Zongyu. I found it strange that Wen Xiao was left alone by her father, but then again, they didn't have much time, so that makes sense here, but how long was that? The battle felt so long... I was actually worried that Wen Xiao could get killed by her father :(

I'm not sure if they really planned it together despite Yuanzhou saying it bc of Yuanzhou's reaction when Yichen got up and told him what he would do lol and rewatching the clip now it looks like Yuanzhou was sad when he saw Yichen's sword pointed at him, and asked him "Is this the only way?" but in the end he agreed to it. It could be true that they did talk about it b4, but Yuanzhou looks sad... I mean, you can't deny it was risky for him which might be why. He definitely wished there was another way. But I bet he trusted Yichen to do this, and ofc is willing to risk his life for Wen Xiao too... I do definitely agree tho that they often wanted to sacrifice themselves for Wen Xiao but hid it from the other because they didn't want the other to have to risk their life for her. So I do find the third toast situation a bit confusing in a way still. But it's okay. I just know in general they want to save Wen Xiao.

Oooh I recommend you continue FoF because from ep 15-17 it actually gets interesting~ The tone of the story changes a lot, and the humor tones down a lot too. I've seen people drop before these eps, and when they continued some time later after dropping, they ended up enjoying it a lot starting from this episode range. But it's your choice! It depends on each person, really, if they end up liking a drama or not. Ig I'm lucky bc I tend / try to be patient with dramas that I've only decided to drop a few of the 100+ dramas in total I've watched lol.

And that's good that there's less leaks for Veil of Shadows. I wasn't there for the Fangs of Fortune during the filming but I can tell they got to film a lot. Veil of Shadows seems less spoilery from the BTS? And I think they aren't allowing anymore filming starting today, right?

How often did this happen? I only recall when Yichen stabbed Yuanzhou after their three toasts together. I still can't believe Yichen did that, risking Yuanzhou's life. I was wonder why he went into that mode when he doesn't want him to die anymore, that even the thought of him dying makes him cry... Isn't he afraid of him dying? Wouldn't he blame himself if it all went wrong? That's the sad part. :( Or else they knew Yichen could do it (even if the chances were small) which still makes this all the more confusing lol. He was even willing to not repair his Cloud Light Sword for Yuanzhou's life. Anyway, I know they mean a lot to each other. I don't recall Yuanzhou willing to risk Yichen's life, after all, he made a promise to him that he will die b4 him (which is so selfless of him but super sad).

I decided to look and see what was in that ep and omg dang I agree... It's one of the best eps omg... That was actually what I was looking forward to the most in the drama too (very unfortunate they made it short tho and not at least an ep long...) 🙃

In my subjective opinion, it is... Lowkey (highkey?). There's a lot of scenes in the drama that can be interpreted differently (and I've noticed how it can actually point towards Yuanzhou liking Yichen, or Yichen being very special to Yuanzhou, without Yuanzhou being aware of this). Tho Wen Xiao is the FL here, you'll see a strong bromance between the MLs. In fact, you can even add Li Lun to the equation bc he and Yuanzhou have been so close for 30,000+ years but became enemies. You can think of them like your lovers to enemies, while Yuanzhou and Yichen are enemies to lovers lol. After analyzing a lot, I think it's safe to say there's smth going on between them (and I can see that some characters even see it like Ying Lei, so maybe keep an eye on that, tho it's pretty lowkey, so not everyone will notice it like I didn't the first time I watched this haha). I also believe they are the end game based on the ending, no disrespect to Yuanzhou and Wen Xiao shippers tho. I view it like this: Wen Xiao is a special part of his journey, and Yichen is where that journey leads, his destination (based on their story and the ending). Anyways, if you love BL, I highly recommend this! It's a very rare treat for C-dramas!

If he's an evil character, my guess is he prob won't be shown a lot since he's a guest role. But even tho Xia Zhiguang is labelled as such, he seems to be the villain here so I bet he's a support instead (like Li Lun in FoF for example which honestly he's the most interesting villain there). Nonetheless, I look forward to seeing Wang Duo no matter how small his role is hehe~

And haven't watched TBL but def wanna do it one day 😭 I haven't watched much of him but recently watched the Yin-Yang Master movie he's in and it was really amazing 🥹 My favorite role of his I watched is Yixuan tbh (tho it's a small role)! Such a precious gege to his Yichen 🤗 (Sorry for this unnecessary long comment 🙏)

After I watched the ending I was also confused how Wen Kexing survived. But this explains it a lot. The words Cheng Ling said to the kids were dubbed over with different words... But when you read what he actually said, it makes more sense. In the end, Ye Baiyi helped Wen Kexing so that he and Zhou Zishu would both survive the cultivation technique.

Yes I found out... I have yet to watch Handsome Siblings tho dang and it's leaving Netflix soon (I found out too late), oh well, but I hope it doesn't truly leave or comes back soon bc I'd love to watch it once I finish this one!
