Do you mean for Love and Redemption? This was my first xianxia and I remember loving it so much bc of the plot. It's even one of my favorites. I'm actually really excited to watch it again in the future (but ain't ready for all the Sifeng suffering oof)!

Same. It's refreshing without romance and watching his story and adventures. He might even be my favorite character. I mean, even if there is romance (I kinda wished there wasn't, but it's okay), I'm glad it's not the focus.

I am also really curious to see the story of Lord Ying Long and Bingyi! Honestly the most I'm looking forward to! Based on the teaser, it looks like we'll be seeing Lord Bingyi actually too bc of what happened to Yichen, so that's exciting! Finally the wait is over!!

I'm loving him so much in Fangs of Fortune. Been eagerly waiting for his performance there and he's doing phenomenal! His character being the most pure and innocent one in the group too... I love him so much. Now it's waiting time for Go to the Mountains and Sea. I can't wait! Still can't believe he's gonna be in that drama! I'm super excited! I feel like it'll totally become one of my favorite dramas as well!

I haven't watched any of the Wu Xie dramas, but fun fact that he and another Wu Xie (Neo Hou) are in a drama (Fangs of Fortune) together :D

Though it's romance between the ML and FL, there's so much bromance and sismance going on it makes you question about the romance imo and makes you actually kinda wonder how this passed censorship. As much as I don't really want to see the romance, I'm really enjoying it a lot. They really don't focus much on it too which is nice. Up until now there's no romance between the leads (they're not together) yet. You'll really love the chemistry between all the characters. My favorites are Yuanzhou and Yichen (ML characters) (watch out for a kind of love triangle between them and Li Lun), as well as Wen Xiao and Pei Sijing (FL characters). I find the youngsters, Ying Lei and Jiu, adorable as well. It's shocking bc Ying Lei gave a hidden message that really implies BL even tho they're ages apart but they made the meaning different in the drama lol I believe maybe Jiu was supposed to be older but they casted someone younger to pass censorship? Idk anyways yeah that's all! Overall, I think you'll enjoy this if you like BL! If you don't like the romance, you can still go ahead and skip the scenes if you want (which would be implied for later episodes).

Omg yes we have the same exact thoughts. Btw, which sword dance do you mean? I can only think about the one where Yichen told Yuanzhou to join him in his sword dance. In that one, I was like, "Woah, he asked HIM, not Wen Xiao?" bc like two guys dancing... just wow, it was BEAUTIFUL!

And about making him want to live, I 100% agree. Like that time when Yuanzhou was thinking, about Wen Xiao's master telling him, "I know I can't persuade you, but I believe that one day you'll meet the person who makes you want to live," I know it can be easy to think it's Wen Xiao bc he's literally right next to her, but it legit transitioned to Yichen practicing swordsmanship and I couldn't help but think, "It's Yichen." Watching that made me a bit emotional.

And yeah, the scene after the blood moon... That one was so emotional. It's the fact that it was only Yichen... Yichen, the only person to go up to him, which takes a lot of courage, but it just shows their deep and strong bond. Even before the blood moon happened, these two had made plans together to overcome that situation.

When Yuanzhou was planning to fight against Li Lun by himself, I found it so beautiful and touching that Yichen came to stay. Yuanzhou was not expecting that. It was so precious. I know people ship Yuanzhou and Li Lun too but their relationship is not healthy at all, so I can't accept them, not even as friends atm. I really did find their childhood together really cute though. But yeah, wow... after their fight scene, the way Li Lun targeted either towards Yichen or another person to be killed... now that I think about it, really gives a hint of jealousy from Li Lun that now he himself has broken up with him (no matter the kind of relationship they had together) and has another one by his side.

I feel the same exact way as you. In a way, it feels like Li Lun is Yuanzhou's ex (I mean literally they were so close but then became enemies) and now it's Yuanzhou and Yichen fighting side by side together. Yuanzhou and Yichen surely have this deep bond that ties them together (but also a sad one that I pray they don't have a tragic end like Ying Long and Bingyi (yes, the trailer / MV might show sadness but you never know they could be trying to throw us off)). I also feel like Wen Xiao and Pei Sijing's chemistry is really good. Wen Xiao feels a bit more like herself with her.

Idk, I feel deep down that it was actually Yichen (I still like Wen Xiao so don't come at me haha) that makes him want to truly live. Like I'm not sure if you remember that one scene, but Yuanzhou was thinking about what Wen Xiao's master told him about finding someone that will make him truly want to live, and while Wen Xiao was right next to him (which may seem like he was thinking about her), it immediately transitioned to Yichen practicing swordsmanship while his song played too. And we often got to see these two side by side as well always having a conversation that resonates a deep bond between them. Even after Yuanzhou became unconscious and then conscious again, it was only Yichen that came up to him during such a tough moment, and his words, while feeling harsh, is like in a way helpful for Yuanzhou as he continues living on. But ofc I know there's gonna be romance between Yuanzhou and Wen Xiao. I do lowkey like that it's not a huge focus though (as much as I enjoy romance) and more on the adventures since that's what I like more and find more meaningful and intriguing. But to each their own. :)

You're right. When I started this drama, I've been so in awe of the OST already. What makes me love them more, what makes them so much more beautiful is that the entire main cast sings the majority (8 out of 13) of the OSTs which we don't often get, so I love that so so much!!

Lol as for me this has been one of my most anticipated dramas and it didn't disappoint! In fact, I love it more than I thought I would despite that! So ofc it applies differently to different people.

1. Those first fight scenes we got between Yuanzhou and Yichen where Yichen wanted to k!ll him to avenge his family... but when he points his sword to him, I can't believe Yuanzhou decided to let himself be stabbed (even tho he can heal himself, that is still painful)!

2. That scene when Yuanzhou flies to Yichen and puts his umbrella over themselves while Li Lun fights against them. In this scene, it lowkey feels like Li Lun is the third wheel lol

3. In that same scene above, Yuanzhou even stabbed himself with Yichen's sword to wake him up from his dream/nightmare. That was just so sad for Yuanzhou but also really just beautiful and touching.

4. The entire gang wanted someone to sword dance. Yichen was up for it... Then he tells Yuanzhou to join him. Like wow, two guys instead of a boy and girl sword dancing together, which honestly, was such a beautiful watch.

5. Didn't Yichen also give his personal jade pendant to Yuanzhou (for survival and protection) in an earlier episode? If I'm not remembering wrong...

6. Now what was that scene during the night when Yuanzhou was sitting on a cherry blossom tree and Yuanzhou was there too? Like woah??

7. In the most recent episode, these two were shown so much, like the bromance was bromancing hahaha~~ Yuanzhou allowing himself to be killed by Yichen... Yet is so selfless and wants him to live well even when he's gone.

8. Yichen is the only one that goes up to Yuanzhou after everything that happened (where Yuanzhou was unconscious during the blood moon).. Like even if he's still suffering in pain bc of his family being gone, it's so strong of him to still go to Yuanzhou.

9. We haven't seen Lord Bingyi and Ying Long yet, but gosh it's sad to learn that they had a tragic fate where one killed the other (which I am hoping so bad isn't gonna be the same with Yuanzhou and Yichen). I'm excited to see their backstories! This itself really shows that there is a deeper connection between them that goes past the first time they met (that we see in this drama).

Why am I seeing BL and GL elements here, especially between Yuanzhou and Yichen (Li Lun too ig lmao), and Wen Xiao and Sijing? But at the end of the day, it looks like we are gonna be getting romance between Yuanzhou and Wen Xiao (which I lowkey wish wouldn't happen, but I'll accept it).
