A lot of people seem to hesitate to watch this one . . . I'm glad you liked it~
Haha I don't know why I started watching. It was probably a random decision. Don't remember really looking into or debating the story. I'm sure Ohm being in it was a possible slight reason to watch the first episode. Not like a 'oh I gotta watch it cause he is in it' thing. More like 'why not watch it and Ohm is in it'. haha
Yeah, I'd say it has Kieta Hatsukoi and Cherry Magic vibes. Timeline wise it is set between those two--as in college. Not that they are all in the same universe or connected somehow. haha
Yep~ Super cute so far--which is normal for the category it falls under when talking Japanese romance. Even though there is a bit of slight miscommunication it's drama free so far. Although that is kind of normal too. If you watch Japanese bl then you probably know what I mean. haha
First, when it comes to Korn saying 'it was just sex' . . . based on his personality I'd say he meant that he…
So true~ He could have brought it up more directly like that. I'm all about communication. Trying to understand and work through things. Sometimes I get frustrated with a story that hangs heavily on lack of communication even if I kind of get why someone might be hesitant to like confess for instance. It'd be great if most people could communicate effectively and understand each other relatively easily.
Yeah, sleeping with someone else is definitely not an actual solution. haha
I feel most people are just excited about their chemistry and it makes them hype up all the moments they love--which…
Haha yeah I don't like it when people say 'the best' about anything even if I really like it. Even if I might think it is currently the best in my opinion based on what I've experienced so far. I don't think anything or anyone could be "the best". It's like trying to be perfect--it just won't happen. Thus, I try to take 'the best' comments with a grain of salt and focus more on the ones that use healthy doses of, at least a little, objective speak.
With that said, I did use to get annoyed with such strong statements as if they were fact--even though I knew they probably meant 'best for me so far'. I think because it took away from others talents. For instance, calling someone the best dancer ever disregards all the amazing dancers that you might not have even experienced yet. It'd be different if you said the person's style of dance was your favorite. The way they move that's unique to them. I wish people would stick to speaking more like they are just opinions and not making it sound like facts. Not that I think people usually are implying something subjective is a fact, but haha
In your case, and probably others, things being stated in such a way might make you not want to watch or expect too much. No one wants that. Not fun. haha
No, not really. There are sad moments, but what is a story without some hiccups? haha
Yeah, I doubt there will be another season. I mean you can imagine it so it's not the end of the world, but it would have been nice to see more moments and stuff. hehe
First, when it comes to Korn saying 'it was just sex' . . . based on his personality I'd say he meant that he…
Well, yeah. It'd be nice if we could always control ourselves all the time and never give into urges. That's not reality though. There are a lot of more crappy situations which could lead to cheating. One being someone refusing to work with you to make things work for both of you. Even if you are trying to get a divorce because things just aren't working and they just refuse. Maybe the relationship is even toxic. Would the person being stuck in the situation be the bad one for cheating? Does that mean they'd always be a cheater? It's never easy to leave such situations after all--especially with kids involved. I'm just saying . . . there are gray areas. To place people in the bad cheater box or the good not cheater box is a bit extreme--in my opinion.
As for Korn's excuse, the 'it was just sex' thing was shitty and an excuse. Felt like he just said that as you do when you don't know what else to say, but you both know it's dumb. The real issue was . . . how he felt like Knock didn't care, didn't seem to want to show affection. Some people need more physical touch/love than others. Some need more sweet words and so on. To me it seemed as if he was lonely. Felt not loved. Things he actually did bring up during the show. Anyway, people partake in stupid things when they are feeling down. Drinking or whatever. It doesn't mean they love or even actually want to drink. The bottle is just staring them down waiting for them to wash their worries away when it feels like there is nothing else you can do. If Korn needed to feel loved/wanted then masturbation would not help. Having sex, with the boss who was obsessed with him, when finding himself in a questionable situation might have satisfied the physical in the moment, but obviously what he really wanted . . . the love he wasn't getting from Knock--was missing. Sex, want and love kind of go hand in hand. They can be separated for certain people and/or situations though. Whether certain situations are good or bad depends on the person/people involved. Knock has been a player a good chunk of his life. Someone who didn't seem to put much serious thought into relationships and slept around. It was in his character to be a bit selfish and uncaring. Why is he now okay when he has cheated more than once? Why can't Korn be forgiven for a being a good character who made a shitty mistake? He's generally a good, caring person. Does this one bad action he took make him a horrible human being? I'm not saying Knock should forgive/trust him entirely. That's up to them of course. Let's say they are both considered cheaters forever now. Does it even matter if they cheat on each other anymore? Is it worse to cheat multiple times instead of only once? Is it slightly "okay" to cheat on someone who was a cheater before? Like some type of karma. Is it worse for a kind soul to cheat than a player? Does none of that matter because 'once a cheater always a cheater' and nothing is worse than cheating?
Side note . . . I'm looking at this more objectively than using my own view on love/sex/relationships. I'm actually just curious--hence all the questions. haha Sorry.
No, not really. There are sad moments, but what is a story without some hiccups? haha
haha well everyone has their view on what may be sad. I didn't find the ending sad, personally. It made me want another season. Wanted to know what happened next--since the main mystery was resolved. Does that help more? haha
Am I the only one who thinks this BL was good but way too overly hyped because of the ACTORS who were in it? Everywhere…
I feel most people are just excited about their chemistry and it makes them hype up all the moments they love--which in turn would lead some to say things like "best actor ever" or whatever. It is what it is.
Personally, I did feel Nanon was getting overhyped. Don't get me wrong. I liked his acting and I've always liked Ohm. His character in Make It Right was the only one I cared about. I feel part of that was because of his acting even though he was quite a bit younger there. They have room to improve and I can't wait to see where things will take them~
With that said, I don't usually talk about the actors. Sure the mains in this one brought a certain chemistry and improvisation no one else would have, but still. What I liked was the fairly nice blend between comedy, drama and cuteness (which is obviously in other shows as well). The story was simple but done in a unique way--in my opinion. It's the little things that make it special I think. The things that are hard to explain and point out. The one thing I can point out is how their relationship seemed fresh in a way that I personally liked yet others did not. They communicated through the problems (not always in the best way maybe) and stayed true to who they were whether they were enemies, fake enemies yet not friends or dating. Everyone had flaws and made mistakes. How the characters themselves where written, directed and acted was also great. Still, any story and the characters in them can be improved on.
Kouta: I want you to stay by my side...Naoya: Cool, we're boyfriends now. Kouta: 💀Kota: I almost don't want…
Shinomiya is pressed. He's like 'stay by my side for the rest of my life? Only lovers say that kind of thing. Yes, please. I can't believe this is happening!' "You don't want to part from me? It's nighttime. The next step is coming to bed with me since it's too late to do anything else. That's obviously what you mean, right? Cause that's where my dirty mind went. We are dating and I am all for moving things along quickly because I've been craving you since day one~ Not that I'd jump you as soon as we got in the door. I'm a gentlemen after all. Well, I try to be but obviously jump the gun sometimes. My bad."
I mean it's probably not exactly like that but haha
I like Nuea, but the way Kluen is written and acted (as directed) makes him hard to like. I really don't like…
Yeah, JJ is always left in the dust. Sad. haha
You made me analyze a bunch, but I've only watched two episodes. Anyway, I also don't like a story heavily relying on miscommunication. I see signs of that from what I watched, but I can kind of see why so it doesn't bother me.
I like how Kluen is being acted by the actor based on what he has been given. You know, looking at him acting separate from the direction and story aspects. If that makes sense. Of course based off what I've seen.

There is no way we'd know for sure what he actually ordered. I suppose we will survive not knowing the truth. lolz

It is a slower moving one. Combining mystery, tragedy, comedy and romance.
