Yeah, I'm unsure about Shinomiya. He has been used to being lucky and probably doesn't like it completely. What is lucky in someone else eyes isn't for him--probably. For instance, all the girls liking him can be a problem. It might cause riffs between friends and be an annoyance if he is actually gay. Does that mean he is actually unlucky then? I mean maybe the luck just makes people like him in general and accidentally causes extra issues. Still, would you really consider that being lucky?
As for his reaction before saying yes--I'd have to rewatch it. From what I remember he seemed surprised and maybe uncertain what he should say instead of questioning whether Fukuhara was actually implying what he thought. It is possible he thought his luck was making this happen like you said. Almost as if one was casting a love spell (even if by accident)--and we all know that's a no no. haha It's something I didn't consider before. Maybe because I first thought he was trying to process what he said. With that said, since they kind of cancel each other out--what Fukuhara said wasn't because of Shinomiya's luck. Shinomiya just jumped to conclusions because of his crush and being super lucky all the time. I am also assume he had been crushing on Fukuhara--just not sure if it was earlier in the episode or some past situation we don't know about.
I'm not sure if Shinomiya is being dishonest though. His friend told Fukuhara he was ultra lucky--so there is nothing to hide there. It is possible that he is hiding something else: like if they actually meet before or he knows about the unlucky thing.

That's an interesting take. It kind of implies everything is out of their control. I mean I know it's not, but the fact of the matter is Kouta hasn't interacted with people much for years because of his luck issue. That would make it more likely for him to say something and not realize it could be taken a completely different way. It's not as if he has been working on his communication skills much after all.
I mean the other person mentioned some similar to this one--so those are good. It depends on want you like though. There are quite a bit of older ones.

Yeah, either it was love at first sight--when they locked eyes when the girls were asking Shinomiya about confessing to any crushes...or they might have met sometime earlier but Fukuhara doesn't remember. It might have been a brief encounter after all.

Actually, I think one of the two friends said 'oh he gave it to you' or something like that. It's just easy to miss because Fukuhara was in a monologue with the camera on him--I believe. I am assuming that was done on purpose because Fukuhara himself missed it as well. Obviously. Otherwise he'd be like "OH YEAH!"

I think I'm just used to the exaggerated anime-like acting to be honest. I've seen some from when it was annoyingly over the top and just plain awkward--which tend to be older ones.
