The show's ending this week and it's kinda bumming me out because it's been my go-to for relaxation lately. I…
I like your perspective on Hua. I really hope she does get a redemption arc and starts using her powerful scheming abilities for good. But not sure she will.
This is really the first show, I have to say: I don’t get the concept. For the Romance on the Farm…. I’m…
I get your frustration. The game count at the end of each episode is our touchstone that this is a game with a clear goal; however, the game execution doesnt always feel game like.
I understand the book it’s based on is actually a transmigration story. So the game was their way of explaining that.
They set up in the first episode how little reliable family our FL really has, so she has become emotionally bonded to the NPC’s. I would too if I spent what felt like weeks and months living with people who were affectionate to me in a way no one had ever been before. The extended family is toxic but in a way thats true to the dynamics of the time. She’s removed herself from most of it, but shed have to abandon the NPC parents and sib she’s grown attached to to ditch the rest.
And everyone at that table knew where the plants were because they helped harvest them. Without their help she couldnt have gotten all the fresh vegetables harvested as fast. Which makes sense if she wants to use them as ingredients in her restaurant and for the ML schemes. They need them faster than fast to meet the demand.
there are many things I do like (even love) about this series, but speaking as a dev, this seems like an utterly…
My theory is the player isnt suppose to succeed at money making schemes easily. I think everything in the game is designed to force them to participate in the story quest the ML opens up. So while they could do it by their own hardwork, it wants them to follow the much easier route of assisting an official and getting a reward.
I do agree since they used a game setting to explain the transmigration from the book, they could have put a little more effort into making the game feel like a game you wouldnt want to rage quit after the first day.
I guess the difficulty level is why the beta testers get a real world monetary reward for sticking it out
And based on some comment about ML becoming a bad character I hope they resolve it fast as it took quite an ugly…
He’s not a bad character. He’s a great character. His in game backstory is revealed episodes 15-16. He and the FL are working together. It looks like from previews tomorrow, he’s going to do some bad stuff in order to further infiltrate the true villains. Trailer shows he’s trying to buy up some farmland from owners who don’t want to sell. He pulls a sword in one clip. Given the identity that belongs to him in game, he should be able to make it all right and return their lands to them. We’ll have to see how it plays out tomorrow. We still don’t know if he’s just an NPC or has a real world identity.
I really tried hard to like this drama but 9 eps later and I'm calling it quits. The no backbone pushover parents,…
I got over it by treating them as the mini game bosses they are. Difficulties the player must overcome to succeed. It really is a lot better the next nine episodes and you get some satisfying consequences.
i love Joseph Zheng, but this drama it's being dissapointed to me ... it shuld be called : TOO MUCH FARM TO SEE…
??? Its a romance built on mutual trust and longing where you have to watch the way the characters interact to see the slow build. Have you watched latest episodes? Its definitely more overtly romantic now.
Forget about the gaming concept.. for me, this is just a regular costume drama…. They added gaming theme in…
Short answer: control. Longer answer:
Same reason time travel is problematic or same sex romantic relationships are banned. Irrational censorship geared at trying to prevent citizens from being exposed to an idea they think threatens society. Cant have people thinking they can get spirited away to another time or world and lose sight of their responsibilities (as perceived by others) society. That might destabilize it. :/
I wanna watch this but I dont like dramas that are heavy on the gaming concept, So how is this one? should I watch…
It isnt super heavy, but it also doesnt ignore it. The world feels very real with an NPC family full of complex and sometimes aggravating characters. The FL does have a mission that fuels her goals, but you only regularly hear about it at the end of most episodes when we get a mini recap of where she is at achieving her goal. I honestly dont usually like gaming set ups for dramas, but this is doing it really well. Id say try it out until episode 4. If you arent liking it, you probably wont end up liking it.
It would have one of the best drama of 2023 if they stoped at episode 24.They didn’t have to drag it to 40 episode.…
Technically her mother was never suppose to be in danger and step mom died with dad. It was ML’s dad who was presumed dead and turned out to still be alive. I think they changed this aspect of the story to keep novel readers in suspense.
As for the length, the actual full story was about the civil war and the choices everyone made to end it. They condensed alot of arcs into those last 10-15 episodes. Wish we could have seen the whole story because the arcs they built and invested in like in the book (those first 28 or so episodes) were the best. I still think it was really good.
from where I can read the book? can anyone share the link?
Google “addicted heroin” and you will find multiple links. You can also scroll comments. I know several people have posted direct links below. Sorry I dont have it bookmarked. I read it once and skimmed alot cause I didnt like alot of the problematic consent issues. I think novelupdates has links as well to different translations.
