Parallel World from the Future
On Korea-Khitan War Dec 4, 2023
That was fast. I thought they're going to show the victories of General Kang. I was surprised they jumped to his capture and death immediately.I guess they're going to concentrate on the retreat and then to the 3rd Goryeo-Liao War.

P.S. It's history.

There were 3 Goryeo-Liao wars. The series started just before the start of the 2nd war.

General Kang is considered a hero to this day, despite what he did. He brought multiple victories for Goryeo which pissed of the Liao Emperor.

That was when General Kang became complacent. It was that mistake that led to his capture and death.

The series should've at least gave him justice, especially since they consider him a hero to this day.

I just read that Park Eun Bin provided the vocals for her younger version singing Dream Us as well. Man, she’s…
Yep. When they released the official tracks yesterday, I listened carefully and compared it, it was indeed her and not Lee Re.

Though one should never hate his/her hometown but in Modern day scenes its hard to improve or progress staying…
Not sure what or how to reply since I already acknowledged what you pointed in my post. And presented my reaction about it as well. πŸ˜‰

Not to sound like a broken record, but as I've explained, people who were born and grew up in urban world prefer life on the rurals. While those in rural world wants the urban lifestyle.

Those on the rural are usually thinking life is better in urban world because they were trapped into that mindset by the way society and system was shaped.

Example, everything is measured based on money. You practically can't do anything without money.

But that's the question. What is it that we want to do that we need 5 to 7 digits of money monthly?

Those of us who only know the urban life are crying out because contrary to the belief of those in the rurals, life is not better here on the urbans.

Families are broken. Relationships are shallow. You have to watch your back. You have to forget your principles. And unless you know how to make passive income, you'll be stuck in an endless cycle of growing work.

So what is more valuable?

Like in episode 1, the 1FL looked down on her hometown, thinking that happiness and success in life can only be found if you are rich, have a success business, and "living the urban life".

Yet, it all crashed overnight and she's back to the hometown she vowed she'll never return.

All the while, the 1ML valued the relationships he built and even refused to move to the city. In the end, even though life is hard is for him, he has genuine happiness and success without sacrificing his relationships.

Be it you're in the rural or urban, life is hard. And all things considered, you'll lose far more if you embrace the urban world.

Why would one "lag behind"? And what is it they will "lag behind" if they don't leave their rural life? Gadgets? Degree? The latest from TikTok? Social status?

That kind of thinking already created a very dangerous situation in the world that no media and politician wants to acknowledge: we have been lacking in basic skills and workforce. Everyone is a programmer. Everyone is a TikToker. Everyone is working as a BPO agent.

There are less farmers today. There are far too few people who can do basic carpentry, or to fix stuff in their homes. And root cause was that people are thinking there is no future if they stay living the rural life.

If I remember correctly, there is a prestigious university in the UK with a course for farming. But few people are taking it.

Why are few people taking it? Mindset.
Why did they even bother to create such an education? Because we're in trouble.

And that's the gist of episode 1. You cannot find happiness and success just because you're living the urban life. It is what you make of it, and that you'll lose more in an urban society than a rural life.

No matter where you live, life is hard, so that is not a good reason to leave your rural life behind. It has to be a reason that is not a common denominator.

One person can really finish you off but what bothered me was she didnt fight back at all for whats her. It feels…
1. There's no point. No one will listen. It will just turn into "she's making up excuses", "she's not repenting", "even if she is not guilty, she should just apologize".

2. There's a proper time to reveal the truth. If you mess this up, the truth won't have any impact.

3. Know your enemy. In this case, she did make this mistake. She underestimated her assistant. I wasn't surprise what happened, it was obvious after they revealed the assistant. Why? Because I've seen co-workers like that assistant. They're nasty, they have good minds for strategy. And to fight them, you have to be careful.

Here's the thing. The truth will always come out. It's just a matter of when. If you force it, you might make it useless. Find the right timing. Find irrefutable proofs to support your side. Keep gathering. Keep quiet about it. Basically, don't do anything unless you've considered all possible reactions and repercussions.

It's the best time to hire a damage control expert, and those good in dealing with these things. (i.e. strategy)

You know what we should reflect regardieg episode 1? Never hate your hometown. This is actually happening in a…
Life is easier if you live in an urban city? Or have an Urban pay rate?

Sure. However, it will also change a lot of things about you. Your lifestyle for example. You'll star wanting more. And to be able to do that, you want to climb higher and earn more.

And unless you know how to generate passive income, which most don't, you'll be stuck working your as* off, either as an employee or as a business owner.

And one mistake, regardless if it was your mistake or not, all of it can crash and gone overnight.

Life is hard in the rural towns? Sure. And you probably won't be able to buy the latest gadget. But at least you are not trapped in the rat race. You're not under debt. You don't have the mindset that you must buy the latest and greatest iPhone. You are content with what you have. And you value human connections.

Urban life? Families are usually broken. Human connections are shallow.

Happiness and success by having an urban life and Urban pay rate? NO. It's a lie. What it does is we forget the simple things like farming and fishing, and make us rely on things provided to us.

People have gadgets, and they many don't even know how to read maps and a compass. They still get lost. You cannot trust them to feed for themselves.

Basic skills. Basic life skills. That doesn't exist in the urban world. You learn survival in the rural world. Value that. Because when all these modern things came crashing down, it is those with basic life skills who will survive in a post-apocalyptic world, and the first ones who will perish are those who lived imwith an urban lifestyle.

You know what we should reflect regardieg episode 1? Never hate your hometown.

This is actually happening in a lot of countries. Those in the provinces are dreaming of moving to their country's capital and hating their hometown.

But know this, those who grew up in the Capital, or any urban areas for that matter, are dreaming of living in the provinces, away from the urban life.

What does that tell us?

Simple. We assume, and always wrongly, that happiness and success can only be found in highly urbanized places.

Yes, it is complicated. The system set it up that we get trapped in the endless cycle of rural = no future. The system makes it hard to live if you are not earning an Urban pay rate.

But, it is usually after your mid-life that you realise and start to ask, "what the f* am I doing here?" You realise you've been trapped in not just the rat race, but in the mindset that there is no life outside of earning Urban pay and living in highly urbanized cities.

The truth is, it's all a lie. Happiness and success can be found anywhere. It is what you make of it. It is your mindset.

Why would anyone who were born and grew up in urbanized cities ever dream of living the rural life you left behind?

It's because they realised happiness and success lies not in modern technologies or having an Urban level pay rate.

Don't hate your hometown. Don't hate your rural life. One day you'll come searching for it.

And those who were born in urban world have nothing to go back to, they never had a rural place to call "home".

it said it was an anomaly in the Y Chromosome - so it sounds like he is the first of his kind ...
That's fine.

I'm simply asking what made you think he was the first, and why, according to you, it has to do with the Y chromosome why he is the first.

There has to be something that made you think it is the case.

1. The last episode made is obvious that Strong Girl Mama is going international to hunt down Pavel.2. The cased…
One last thing. You said they wouldn't promote her because they are not sure where her loyalty lies.

Did you even watch the entire show or did you skip parts of it?

Is her loyalty not obvious?

Is her character questionable?

Ase her mother and grandmother not enough as a vouch for her loyalty?

If the girl is a security threat, then her mother and grandmother are a security threat too. You can not remove them from her because they are direct relations.

And her character is innocent and/or child-like and/or happy-go-lucky, why would such a person have some nefarious, secret agenda, questionable loyalty, probably a spy, inkling?

That's like saying when you were a child or at her age, your loyalty to your own country was highly questionable. LOL.

Finally. What made you think the Korean Police did not deliberate on her special promotion? The police force in this show were not presented as dumb nor stupid, so not once did I assume they did not deliberate her special promotion.

So, what made you think she did not go through the process? What made you think the police force in this show gave her a special promotion just because?

Is it justice when the 1ML killed himself? As I've said, that's on you.

Each people will view it differently.

For some people, it is not justice because the person committed suicide instead of being punished by the law.

For some people, the mere fact he died, is itself justice, regardless how it was delivered.

For you, it is not justice. For some it is. Your view doesn't mean it is the view of the world.

Whatever was the objective of the writer and director, and the actors for agreeing with that ending, they obviously have a different understanding of the matter than you do.

Can you truly say that they are wrong just because they see things differently?

I would agree with you if at least one character told him "coward" after killing himself. But none did. They have a different understanding of the situation.

And since you are into realism, well, it takes a brave person to commit suicide. That is probably what the characters, the writer, the director, and the actors themselves, understood about the ending the character's ending.

And if you haven't noticed, they asked the question why he helped his biological father if he was evil. That in itself is a clue that deep inside, the guy is still human.

Sure, he helped his father probably just to have a hidden cache of the antidote. After all, the best place to hide it is where no one would suspect or build a connection.

Well, as the characters asked, why his father? He could have placed his hidden cache of the antidote where it can truly be not connected. Placing it there at the store he set up for his father is still very risky.

So, was it justice or not? Maybe deep inside he touched on his humanity? That deep inside he realised he made the wrong decisions and that was his way of paying for his crimes?

Is that justice or not?

Maybe the correct question to ask, justice from the eyes of?

Why would making her a cop an insult?

Are you claiming that every fictional character turned into a cop an insult?

I think you are confusing reality and fiction. It's one thing to want realism and totally another to forget it still is fiction.

And since you want realism, then I guess all those cases in and outside of Korea, in the past to the present, where people who were promoted to a certain position, was an insult?

In give you an example. In Korea's history, they had a General who was not a military man, he was a politician. He never served as a soldier ever. Yet the Emperor promoted him to be a General.

Was that an insult to the military?

That pure politician turned General led Goryeo into multiple victories against the Liao Dynasty.

Was the emperor wrong in promoting a pure politician into a General?

It's history. Since you apparently know a lot about Korea and how Strong Girls insulted the Korean police force; then you should know who I'm talking about.

LOL. It is fiction, why are you trying to apply real world logic into it? And regardless, it does happen in a lot of countries. Some are honorary, some allowed to actually serve, usually after training.

And as this is fiction, as the last episode already explained, her promotion was "SPECIAL". Meaning, they made an exception for her, it is NOT the norm.

Season 3, not 2. :) The first Season was Strong Woman.Or, more appropristely, 2nd spin-off. The original was Strong…
LOL. You're getting confused with semantics. It's all the same.

If you're going to argue that telling the story of the Strong Boy is Season of Strong Girl, then based in that logic I am correct to call Strong Girl Season 2 of Strong Woman.

If they are going to tell the story of Strong Boy but you consider Strong Girl as a spin-off of Strong Woman, then Strong Boy is a spin-off of both Strong Girl and Strong Woman.

You can not mix and match, that's illogical.

The franchise, for lack of an official name is "Strong". They change the title of Strong Girl because it is a spin-off of Strong Woman and the story is about a different branch of the family.

If they will tell the story of the Strong Boy, obviously, the title will change too because it is a story about a different family.

The characters from Strong Girl won't be the focus. They can appear but they're not the main characters.

Or. You can treat them all as one franchise. With Season 1 of the franchise being Strong Woman. Season 2 of the franchise Strong Girl. Season 3 of the franchise will be Strong Boy.

Also, if they do the story of that "Nam" family grandma mentioned, that is yet another spin-off. Or, another Season of the "Strong" franchise.

At the end of the day, it's all the same for this particular franchise because they are obviously telling a grand story that is interconnected and happening simultaneously.

It is similar, and at the same time different, from say Star Trek.

No one calls Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, as a spin-off of Star Trek. They are all Star Trek, part of the Star Trek franchise. They are all interconnected and overlaps. However, it is understood that TNG comes first before DS9 and before VOY, and each can have a Season of its own.

The "Strong" franchise is not different. Each can have a Season of its own, if they want. However, saying that Strong Boy is Season 2 of Strong Girl and but Strong Girl is not Season 2 of Strong Woman, is a contradiction. Either they are Seasons of each other or spin-offs of each other … that is if you want to get entangled with semantics. πŸ˜‰

It's so hard to comment on the first pink vs green match.

It looks unfair but the way the teams were formed was still based on luck. The Pinkers get to play some games which determined their team. Then they chose the members of the green team they want to compete with.

And, it just so happen, the Pink team chose those green members who can barely communicate. Imagine, if that Pink team was different, even the green team would be different The song and concept are also going to be different.

So, at the end of the day, luck still played a big role, and that luck was during the Pink game to determine the members of the Pink teams.

The first green team got unlucky that their team can barely communicate. The first Pink team got lucky the members were the best combination.

I wonder then, is it truly 볡수? If it is revenge, then the greeners should've been given the chance to:
1. Form their own teams, through that same game.
2. Picked the members of Pink teams.
3. Picked the concept.
4. Picked the songs.

Let's be honest here. If the Pinkers are truly "winners", then they should be able to win even if all the privileges were given to the greeners. If they are so damn good, then they should win even if the greeners picked everything.

What's with the strong man at the ending? Does that mean there will be a season 2?
Season 3, not 2. :) The first Season was Strong Woman.

Or, more appropristely, 2nd spin-off. The original was Strong Woman. The 1st spin-off is Strong Girl.

That said.

Yes. There will be another spin-off.

Actually, there can be two spin-offs.
1. Grandma hinted a distant relative named "Nam" during the "Meet the Family". That "Nam" was not mentioned even in the original Strong Woman.

Grandma of Strong Girl and Grandma of Strong Woman are cousins. Strong Woman and Strong Girl are cousins twice removed.

And then there is this "Nam" as well.

2. Strong Boy. It appears that there was another ancestor who was cursed other than the ancestor of the Strong Women. This ancestor passed down the mutated Y chromosome to his male descendants and made sure the line is alive.

It is possible this male ancestor is a friend of that female ancestor. They both did something and were cursed for it.

It is also possible those two ancestors became a family and had sons and daughters who were strong.

After that, since they can't marry their siblings, the original ancestors told their sons and daughters to keep the line alive. Thus, it was passed down for them to ensure they have a son or a daughter.

Since Strong Girl's family are more open to embracing their powers and they stand against bulies, they probably have more connections.

Unfortunately, for the family of Strong Woman, they were bullied so they prefer to hide until Strong Woman came to the picture and changed everything. And now she's doing the same thing as the Strong Girl family line: helping people.

Have a Korean passport. When she returned to Korea, she was issued a Mongolian Passport for obvious reasons, but it was rectified after it was proven she was the missing Korean citizen child.

4. No idea. I guess you didn't watch? hahaha
