Episode 02: Social Anxiety and the REAL and medical meaning of Gaslighting.
The topic of episode 02 is social anxiety and the ORIGINAL and medical meaning of “gaslighting”.
Again, like in episode 01, they explained both in a way that ordinary people would understand, dispelling misconceptions. The episode story was also done in a way to help the audience empathise with the characters and the people experiencing or have experienced (and now suffering) social anxiety and gaslighting. Not to mention, it makes us question ourselves that maybe, we are in denial and actually going through it as well.
Wow. This is actually very, very good! It shares enough information about mental illnesses, makes you have some basic and updated understanding, and doesn't focus on medicines, but more on how to deal and communicate with people. Yes, people, not “abnormals”.
Because that's how we should treat everyone, as people, as human beings. And I applaud them for that, and this is just episode 01.
Yihyun is surpsingly okay in this! She fitted her character in All of Us Are Dead really well and was genuinely…
Yeah, she's I can say she's better in the comedy and romance acting here than in School 2021. It's like she's enjoying herself and letting out the teenage girl in her in this show.

From the hints from ep01, it would appear the 1ML and 1FL are from the line of Agents of Love. If you noticed, originally the Agents were men, and usually take the positions of “Chief Priests”.
Then during the Silia period, it changed to women; and this was when the “Agents of Love” was coined.
When the country switched to Confucianism and thus started the Joseon period, the Agents “disappeared”, more likely left the country or went to hiding, because Confucianism wouldn't accept their existence.
Eventually, how they use their abilities was forgotten.
Then one day, an Agent of Love that is a man and a woman appeared at the same time period.
The 1ML is definitely one, since the moment he got married, his spouse died.
The 1FL is guaranteed, because she herself is aware of her ancestry. Eventually, though, her spouse died young as well, but not before he gave her a son; who probably will become an Agent of Love too.
I think Agents of Love wouldn't have problems getting married because they can cancel the curse. You know, double negative = positive.
Having said that, it would appear that indeed the aches he is feeling is because he is denying his identity.
In his mind, he is vehemently opposed to any sweet and all that because his wife suddenly died during marriage. Even though he doesn't want to get married, still, your wife dying during marriage is the worst thing that could happen … even to this very day!
Unfortunately for him, whenever he sees couples together, his ability is trying to come out.
Either: 1. Because the couple he saw are not meant together; or 2. Like the 1FL, he was feeling strong feelings and happiness for them.
Unfortunately for him, he doesn't understand; and he doesn't believe in these things because he's a very loyal Confucian follower and by-the-book legal scholar. LOL, even the king told him he knows nothing of the world.
Nothing. He's just a widowed son-in-law of the reigning king.
In the early part of the Joseon period, in-laws of the king can not take any government position to avoid corruption (it was only in the mid or latter part of Joseon that it changed, if I remember correctly)..
However, story-wise and as hinted in the episode 2 preview and from the synopsis, he will be given the task to get as many people married as possible so the king can finally marry his son.
Basically, to save his life, he has to solve the problem he created. Apparently, it was his idea to invent a problem that doesn't exist. Low marriage count = some national curse. Which the king figured out.
So, the king arrested him and cornered him. Either he commits suicide, or, he solve the silly marriage issue he created in the first place.
BONUS: It also appears that he is an Agent of Love. In the early days, Goryeo period (before the Silla period), Agents of Love were men and they become “Chief Priests”.
But in the Silla period, it became only women, and this was in this period when they were called “Agents of Love”.
However, when the peninsula entered into the Joseon period, the Agents of Love disappeared. Actually, they went into hiding because the very idea of their existence contradicts with the teachings of Confucianism.
Yet, they still do exist. Still women.
Until 1ML was born. At least what was hinted in the intro of ep01, he has no idea he is the first male Agent of Love after so many years.
Now. It is his job to get people married as fast as possible, otherwise, the king will indeed punish him with death.
I'm glad Yi Hyun is not getting negative feedback this time. Hahaha. People reacted badly when she was in School 2021 (which, ironically, was actually good for me, even though I'm not of that 2021 generation).
I feel bad for Rowoon though. He did say this is his first comedy.
The only way for Agents to have a happy marriage is for them to get married to a fellow agent.
