That final scene, it hurts to be reminded of those days. Randomly, you just… you can't stop it.
I hope no one here will experience what we've been through. Forget about the so-called “5 stages of grief/moving on/recovery”, it's not true. It was based on an outdated psychological model for and based on people who are dying, NOT grieving.
Going through a nasty break-up, and trying to come out of it alive, is a totally different matter. There are no stages to it.
It will change you deeply. Your opinions of everyone will change. Your brain and your heart will be in constant conflict. Your brain will tell you, not everyone is like your ex. But your heart will tell you, they all are the same.
Nasty break-ups can kill, too. There were cases around the world of people who died, or had a stroke, or had a heart attack, even a failing liver, all because of a break-up. We think it's not possible, but the truth is, everything we feel affects our entire body and functions, just as much as smiling and laughing heals us.
Always aim for a clean break-up. You both agreed to be in a relationship. The last thing you can do for each other is to part ways cleanly. (NOTE: we are NOT talking about breaking-up with abusive people, there is no other way to get out of an abusive relationship other than to break-up, no matter how painful it can be.)
If you think only men do that shit and women are always the victims, think again.

You don't want to turn-off the TV, because without a distraction, you will only feel the immense pain.
Heinrich's Accident Triangle - One high severity incident is always preceded by 29 minor incidents and 300 near-miss incideents. - The moment I got caught, my inner voice told me ‘Now is the chance. Run.’ - Before my relationship fell apart, there were certainly the things that I had missed.
1. face down cellphone us: a few years before the end, her phone is suddenly off-limits 2. sudden plan us: always cancelling our plans, plans she even initiated and was excited about 3. saying sorry like a habit us: she kept saying sorry when she didn't use to 4. watching the same movie s/he already watched with the other person us: originally, she waits until we can watch the first time. this changed, she already watched it. 5. secretive us: suddenly there are so many things about her that became secrets 6. busier with work us: always busy with work 7. checks your schedule us: checks on you, to make sure you are where you are, then suddenly is busy again
I was suspecting, but I chose to give more to help save things, and maybe she'll change her mind.
And everything else she said in monologue were the same for us.
1. Mr. Rich Scholar is confirmed to be half-brother of Mr. True Heir 2. Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky is the Watchman assigned to Mr. True Heir
But there are still these questions: a. Why did the mysterious old man called Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky as “Your Majesty”? b. Why did the Vice Minister not use Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky as the fake Heir in his rebellion plans, yet saved him when he was captured? c. When Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky asked for the king's artefacts to be brought to him, what was it about? It was not the dragon seal because Mr. True Heir have always carried it himself. So, is it the proof he is the older half-brother, or he was adopted?
My suspicions: * My. Happy-Go-Lucky is probably another half-brother, but older than the Mr. True Heir. * The Vice Minister is aware of Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky's identity as a half-brother, but is not aware he is the Watchman. * The Vice Minister did not choose Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky for his rebellion because he's too older to be the fake Heir. No one would buy his fake identity. * The Vice Minister chose the other half-brother, Mr. Rich Scholar, because he is within the age range of the True Heir. * Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky, accepted his fate as the older half-brother and as the Watchman. * OR, Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky was adopted by the Crown Prince / True King. But because of the assassination plot they discovered, everything changed. He was sent to train as a Watchman and guard the True Heir.
Although, there is one thing that doesn't align. -- How come Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky was already at Hanyang before Mr. True Heir arrived?
I just remembered something: Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky did not save the FL by coincidence, he knew her from 10+ years ago. He was guarding her as an extension of his mandate to guard Mr. True Heir.
It's episode 10 already, and the writer is still keeping everything underwraps. Very good writing there.
I'm starting to suspect those three Scholars are brothers. All sons of the true king. He former king knew of the plot to assassinate them all, so he hid each of his sons early, and assigned a small group to protect and guide them.
Maybe the “Watchmen” were founded by the former king, and was passed down to the Queen Mother after the assassination. Possibly even convinced her by showing proof that her other son was the one who killed plotted the hostile takeover.
So, now, the Queen Mother is the one taking care of the “Watchmen”, and the only one who knows which Watchman is protecting which son. As the monk said, a Watchman is always very near to their assigned master but they never know who is guarding who.
The other possibility is: Mr. Rich Scholar and Mr. Flower Guy, are brothers. And the Watchman assigned to Mr. Flower Guy is Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky.
But, it still is weird a Mysterious Man called My. Happy-Go-Lucky “your majesty”.
Then another Watchman was planted inside the palace, the guy who helped Mr. Flower during the trials. Remember what the Monk said? Watchmen are always very near their assigned Master.
And, the Queen Mother, seems to know everything.
The other thing that I can not make sense of is this: when Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky Scholar was captured, the Vice-Minister helped him escape. Yet, why is it he is using Mr. Rich Scholar to be the fake heir?
Why is he not using Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky as the fake heir? Why did he bother to save him in the first place?
The Vice Premier knows something about Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky, other than the fact that he knows who Mr. Rich Scholar is. The only thing he doesn't know, and no one else seem to know, is who the real heir is.
And not surprising. The Queen Mother should not make a mistake of letting anyone else know, even within her own network. So, it definitely is safe to say that only her has idea who is the real heir.
But, she doesn't seem to be aware of what the real heir is doing. Instead, it is the Eunuch who appears to have an idea what the real heir is planning.
Speaking of the Eunuch, as suspected, he actually knew who those three Scholars are. How? And why is it he has far more knowledge than anyone else? Even surpassing the Queen Mother's network?
Is the Eunuch the one the former king trusted of his entire plan for those three boys? Is the Eunuch the one orchestrating everything behind-the-scenes? Sans the other changes?
It is like the Eunuch is the director, making sure the story goes according to the script. If something and someone goes off the script, it is his job as the director to realign them back to the original script.
And he seems far too loyal about that. It is starting to appear that the Eunuch was deeply trusted by the former king to do exactly this: to make sure his plan succeed.
It would be a huge surprise for me if the Eunuch is just a self-serving bast*ard who decided to play puppet master because he knew his days are counted. That would be the biggest twist of his character.
Yes! I finally caught up to episode 8!Time to watch episode 9… but before that…
The writer's good, they kept throwing us everywhere in guessing the correct heir. As of episode 8, I still can not guess: 1. There's the rich scholar, who the hostess thinks is the heir.
2. There is the happy-go-lucky a mysterious man called “Your Majesty” and who had the King's artefacts.
3. Then there is Mr. Flower Guy, who knows what happened when they were kids. Although, it is weird, he only drew it after hearing the story from her. Even me would have imagined what happened next in front of the dog house, and what that kid said. So, I still doubt him.
And then there is the mysterious Watchman. 1. They led us to believe it is Mr. Flower Guy.
2. Then they showed another Watchman, which I've been suspecting there is another (more on this below), thought not directly revealed but they led us to suspect Mr. Rich Scholar.
More on the Watchman. I doubt Mr. Flower and Mr Rich Scholar was the Watchman from when the real heir (whoever he is) was still a young kid. For one, that watchman would look much older in the present, yet none of the three guys look older, rather, they look within the age range of 1FL.
I am suspecting that the Mysterious guy who called Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky “your majesty”, was the original Watchman.
It was also hinted that the Tyrant King knew the Queen was funding the “Watchmen”. So, there is no doubt there are more than one, they are an organisation.
If Mr. Rich Scholar is a member of the Queen Mother's Watchmen, then and yet they do not know who Mr. Flower Guy is, then that means there is another faction, or, a former Watchman split up and secretly trained a disciple of his own.

Yeah, the old man was probably making a joke since he's practically the king with him tailing him all his life.
That was great!
That episode really struck.

But it took 5(?) men, 1 grandmother, and 1 adult woman, to lift the steel cover after they broke the lock.
What just happened? Was she supergirl or something?
Episode 5.
Even the Korean-American officer did nothing. He instead opted to temporarily incapacitate the two dogs who went after him,
But, dogs who got lost and captured are killed just because.
Not only that, if it's a human, authorities use “self-defence” to justify shooting them, but they won't when it's animals?
None of it makes any sense.
